Boston Legal: Juiced (2008)
Clip of Candace Bergen
Towards the end of the episode, Denny is having a flashback of a younger Candace Bergen swimming. I'm curious to know where that clip is from.
Oh, yeah, I'm over 50, too. (LOL) I was glad to see Judge Clark Brown's ruling in Katherine's case.
One of the things I've always loved about Boston Legal is the consistent 'violation' of the 4th wall. I've always wondered how David Kelley was consistently able to mock the networks without any repercussions. But then again, the show was ultimately canceled, so I guess I got my answer.
I for one, will miss the brilliance of this show. It entertained, made me think, sparked debates, and more. Sure the show was definitely geared towards the left, but I thought that it treated both the left and right with respect.
We Are Marshall (2006)
One of the best movies I've seen
I am a football broadcaster, so because of my schedule, I was unable to see the movie until New Year's Day, but it was well worth the wait. I vaguely remember the Marshall crash (as I was in 7th grade), and later the Wichita State crash, but never had heard all of the stories about how Marshall came back from such tragedy.
I was leery at first, when I saw that McG was the director (after all, he did give us "Charlies Angels"), but this movie was a stunner from the beginning. As a broadcaster, I was glad to see that Gene Morehouse and his son were part of the story.
My wife, who is NOT a sports fan, also loved the movie. Definitely a Kleenex (tm) movie.
RV (2006)
Fun Movie - Good family fair, and the parents will laugh, too.
You've seen all the reviews, and most of the spoilers, so I won't go into too much detail.
My wife and I have been huge Robin Williams fans since Mork and Mindy days. While this is not as gut-busting funny as some of his films, there are some great moments. As RV owners, we know that some of the stuff that happens is pure Hollywood, but its still hysterical.
There is a running gag with the emergency break, which was easy to figure what was going to happen next, but it was still funny. Barry Sonnefield's way of getting into the movie was classic. Kristen Chenowith continues to amaze me with her ability to adapt to different roles. Robin Williams finds a way to be the star of the movie, but without hogging the scenes.
Yeah, its a feel-good movie, and we laughed a lot. This is a good movie for kids and adults alike, and you can just sit back and enjoy. We did!
