Blade Runner 2049 (2017)
Great but not Iconic like before
I think the cinematography was amazing, the actors were great and the visual effects were remarkable. But it is important to stay loyal to the philosophy of the prequel. I believe the bladerunner 1982 had a much deeper meaning into it if you delved deeper into the movie.
It's a great movie of course, but not as iconic as the last bladerunner by Ridley Scott.
Harley Quinn: The Line (2020)
it was FUN !!!
I missed the violence in this show :D
This episode had violence, swearing, romance and sarcasm at the same time. with Kaley Cuocco's voice and the crew's idiotic actions, it had everything needed in a fun animation for 18+
But I don't know why it's funnier when I see familiar faces in this title even when their jokes aren't as funny; like Batman and Joker.
Death Proof (2007)
it's a death proof that Trantino has foot fetish
With Tarantino you can not say the movie was bad; it's either you didn't get the point of the movie or you don't know cinema at all, the same goes for directors like Scorsese and Stanley Kubrick, Hitchcock and some others
Also I admit that Tarantino sometimes just wants to have fun with making movies, I liked it more than Kill Bill though.
Vikings: Ghosts, Gods and Running Dogs (2019)
Vikings ?!
I think by now Bjorn should be a responsible and wise king but he's nothing like Ragnar, he just messes up and what is up with that woman trying to entice him? and why the hell is he showing too much attention about this ?
Midsommar (2019)
It is not a horror movie !!!
I spent one hour in youtube after watching this movie and it was so beautiful, there is so much information about this movie that every channel was implying something new. well except for Ari Aster saying that "this is a break up movie"
First of all, this is not a horror movie. Why people watching it expect horror? it wasn't even written in the movie's genre. If you watch it and expect a horror movie it's going to be a very long and boring one. so just watch it as a thriller drama.
Second of all, I think the development of characters was one of the strongest points about it, Dani is a girl with no family and then in the village she eventually finds one, her boyfriend, Christian, is a senseless not-caring boyfriend who pretends to care about his 3/4 year relationship and he also ends up with the consequences of his decisions. it was perfect
Honestly Ari Aster became one of my favorites after watching Midsommar, I can't wait for his next title.
Ready or Not (2019)
A new kind of horror
If you notice you can see that the new horror movies these days are about mothers or fathers or like this one in-laws, the new kind of horror movies are making us be afraid of a person (almost always a person really close like mother) and not an unnatural or supernatural creature, and i personally find that beautiful, cause the thing we should really be afraid of in our lives is not a clown under our bed.
And the important point is the new horror is showing us what happens to our believes when a mother or a father, which in the past were assumed to be the shelter when we're afraid, become the monster themselves.
Like the picture i saw, it was written on the wall "who should we call when the police murders?"
The Shawshank Redemption (1994)
Hope is a dangerous thing!
Did you notice that the supporting actor (Morgan Freeman) had a lot more lines than the main actor (Tim Robins)?
this movie was one of the best movies I have ever seen.
it was about how hope can shape our way of living and our purposes in life.
it was about how easily we get used to our life( Brooks) how stupid little things can make our day and we almost never notice them(the scene that Andy was playing the Italian music in the office) and the most important lesson that this movie taught me was when Andy realized that he became a criminal after when he got into prison!
truly beautiful!
