The Notebook (2004)
20 Years Later....and it's still the greatest love story ever told.
The Notebook has been my favorite movie from the moment I first watched it. Hard to believe that was 20 years ago. There aren't many movies that can evoke such feelings deep in one's soul.
If you are a fan of a great love story and 2 leads who are perfect in their respective roles - then this is for you.
Ryan Gosling does his best work here and Rachel McAdams portrays Allie's emotional struggle perfectly. You root for her even if she's not making morally sound decisions. James Marsten is equally phenomenal as Lon Hammond.
The rain scene. Best scene in a movie ever. You'll understand when you see it!
Hart of Dixie (2011)
Long Live the Hart!
I started to watch Hart of Dixie many times, giving up halfway into the first episode more than once. I am not sure why.
I recently revisited the pilot about 2 weeks ago and just finished the entire series. I cannot believe what I have been missing for the past 10 years. This show is wonderful. Lightning in a bottle!
Rachel Bilson carries the show as "pretty doctor" Zoe Hart whose journey of self discovery and self sabotage is something we can all relate to.
Wilson Bethel as Wade Kinsella, is the perfect match for Zoe AND Rachel - their chemistry is INSANE. He is adorable, which gets him in ALOT of trouble but I felt it in my heart he'd make his way to Zoe in the end. The character growth with this one alone is worth a watch. 💘
Jamie King as Lemon Breeland, Kaitlyn Black as AB Nash, Cress Williams as Lavon Hayes, Scott Porter as George Tucker AND Tim Mathieson as Brick Breeland round out the main characters of Bluebell and the perfect cast. Can we get more of Kaitlyn Black in our lives, please? She's phenomenal.
Hart of Dixie is PERFECT. Finding shows I adore knowing they were cancelled hurts on a deep level. Wish it never had to end.
Manifesting season 5. Long Live the Hart!
Pretty Smart (2021)
It's no Young and Hungry
Young and Hungry was great! I was excited to see Emily Osment back in another show, but this just doesn't live up to her previous show.
With that said, it's a nice escape from real life. It's silly and over the top and cheestastic but I am enjoying it.
Tiny Pretty Things (2020)
Better than the Negative Reviews
I read reviews before watching and I expected garbage. What I got was a dark, sexy, sometimes silly portrayal of what teenagers in a sheltered environment can go through.
I love Shane and am rooting for him to be happy.
Its a decent watch and not a waste of time. People who are mad its being compared to PLL but its literally on par with it. Don't say PLL never had silky moments [Dollhouse, anyone?,] but silly can still be good!! It ends on a cliffhanger so I am hopeful for a season 2!
Emily in Paris (2020)
Uuncomfortable
As a fan of Younger, I had high hopes for this. Unfortunately as adorable as Lily Collins is, everything else about the show is very u uncomfortable and cringe worthy. Darren, dump this and try harder to keep Younger on the air ;)
Same Time, Next Christmas (2019)
Bryan Greenberg Sold Me
Only reason I watched was for Bryan Greenberg. Movie was typical and cheesy but that's expected.
