Call Me Kat: Call Me Ken Jennings (2022)

Randi needs an attitude adjustment
30 September 2022
Randi was horrible in this episode. When the owner of a business (your boss) leaves you in charge, you don't literally change the whole business model while the boss is away. Randi owed Kat an apology, but no she thinks she's always right. She would have been fired if they weren't friends.

Also I'm tired of Kat's mother, Sheila always putting Kat down. The character is not funny or likeable at all. I hope the writing improves and they actually keep the cats around. The cat cafe made the show different. Nothing really funny in this episode. I'm really hoping it's not like this the whole season.

Could've Been Something Special
22 June 2022
I like the overall intention of the short, a senior who lost his wife meets somebody younger that opens his eyes to possibly getting back out there. But, the downfall is the writing of the child character and I would say he was miscast. In the short it states he's 8 and 3 quarters and they have him acting and talking over the man, as if the child's 5 years old. I also found it odd the way they made the 8 year old so obsessed with girls (one example being the end where he went to try to pick up a teenage girl). It has a sweet ending for the older man though.

Complete waste of time
21 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
While I'm going to save my opinion on Rudy Giuliani, because I don't want to bore people. I watch this show to try to guess the masked singers and hopefully be entertained. No one in the world would've guessed he was under that costume. There was absolutely no good reason for him being on here, other than to create drama for the show.

As someone who actually watches the show weekly and looks forward to the reveals, this was a complete waste of time.

Frankie Has Gotten Worse
6 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This episode was hard for me to watch, I had to actually turn it off, because I couldn't stomach Frankie treating her mom like garbage anymore. I did finish it a few days later, because I wanted to give a proper review. It got better after the whole wedding photos thing and I'm glad Frankie eventually apologized.

Frankie has always been a bit much at times. You have to put some of it on teenage hormones (we all were teens once), but when she goes too far and Sam just takes it, it makes it frustrating to watch. Frankie talks about human rights, world issues, etc. But lacks the empathy for her own mother a lot of the time, ex. The wedding photos. Like another reviewer said, Duke is the only kid bearable. Sam deserves better than how her selfish mother usually treats her and her two other children.

Props to the animator
8 March 2022
The animation is truly incredible. Now, I usually enjoy quirky characters, but there was just way too much animal abuse in this short for me, that it was repulsive and the disgusting sister and the dead body was very hard to watch. While I'm happy NFB got an Oscar nod, I just wish it was for a different film.

Depressing Finale/Season
17 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Maybe it's just me, but I was extremely disappointed in the 2 part finale. There were a couple funny parts and I loved the sweet moment with Holt and Jake at the end. The heist storyline was fun in the earlier seasons, but it kind of felt repetitive this season.

My main issue though is Jake quitting being a detective. In what world would Jake ever quit? He LOVED being a cop. So, Amy can do what she loves, but Jake can't? There should've been a compromise here on Amy's part. She did not have to take that promotion. I would say the same if the roles were reversed and also Jake would've had to give 2 weeks notice when quitting. On the plus side, I was happy to see Adrian again, even if it was only for 2 minutes.

B99 Murder Mystery/Comedy
3 September 2021
This was actually a thoroughly good episode. I admit I've been pretty disappointed this season with the lack of comedy and excessive politics. This was a much needed well-written episode. The Boyle's are always hilarious to watch and I absolutely love the rain scene. This is an episode worth watching.

S1/S2: Brilliant - S3: Okay
1 September 2021
Season 1 and 2 were outstanding. The 1st season being the best. It's written for all ages, not just young teens. It had great horror scenes, smart writing and the characters were likeable. Season 3 isn't terrible, it did somewhat get better after the first couple of episodes. But it's definitely no where near as good as S1/S2.

They changed the characters too much. No adult viewer wants to watch two children make out all day. In what world would Hopper ever allow them to make out all day in her bedroom and let bratty Mike talk to him the way he did? Hopper used to have a back bone. I miss the old Hopper. Mike has become the most annoying character. I hope season 4 is going to steer clear of the child/teenage soap opera storyline and get back to it's roots.

Impressive Episode
31 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This is such an incredibly well-written episode and the acting is phenomenal by the whole cast (as per the usual). I'm really loving the fact that they've been using Diedrich Bader more. He fits perfectly with the rest of the cast. There were a lot of standout scenes, but one of the highlights was watching Rich tell off Sam's lousy ex-husband. I absolutely love Sam and Rich's friendship. Well done to everyone involved, behind the scenes and in front of the camera.

2/3 Good Storylines
31 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The highlight of the episode is the three teachers (Stef, Mary and Michelle) trying to find out the father of the baby. They're a hoot. The Durbin and Helen storyline was somewhat entertaining. But, the downfall is the Anthony and the wrestling storyline. They decided to include the boring janitor and he ended up wrestling Anthony (a minor). Which was pretty odd, but the big problem was that the overall storyline was just flat out dull and unfunny. Personally this is my least favourite episode of the show.

So Predictable
27 August 2021
I think we can all agree police should be held accountable for their actions. I agree 100% with that statement. But, the way they're writing this season is like those old after school specials. It is so preachy that it comes off as annoying. It didn't surprise me that they had Jake mess up and be shown an example of this season. I love this show, but this season has been so disappointing. Even the couple of episodes that aren't overly political, are not written as well as the other seasons.

A Must-Watch Film
26 August 2021
It's in a league of it's own when it comes to sci-fi films. The script, the fight sequences, everything is breathtaking. The cinematography is simply outstanding and talk about perfect casting, Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne and the whole cast is fantastic. I highly recommend watching this masterpiece. It's definitely a must-watch film for any sci-fi fan.

Illogical Writing
26 August 2021
The acting was good (as usual), but the writing not so much. In this episode, Cory and Topanga move into the college dorms for married couples. Pennbrook is supposedly a great university, as Mr. Feeny stated when they all got accepted there. So, if it's such a great school, why would they have rundown dorms? It doesn't make any sense. All Cory and Topanga would have to do is contact the college and report it for health violations.

I've also found Alan and Amy off this season. They could've helped Cory and Topanga a bit. Atleast let them stay at their house for 2 weeks until they can find a proper place to live or they could've all came together as a family to help fix up their new place. Just because your child gets married doesn't mean you stop helping them to an extent.

Very Entertaining!
25 August 2021
I'm actually really enjoying this game show. Dax and Kristin make good hosts and are lots of fun. I love how they get in on the action, rather than just standing on the sidelines watching. I find it more entertaining to watch. Yes, they do similar games to Ellen's, a couple are the same with a twist, but it's still fun to watch. My favourite game is the brain freeze game. I think this game show is perfect for any age to watch. I recommend watching it.

Fashion designing in the 1970's
25 August 2021
We are shown fashion designer, Selma Bryant-Fournier hard at work designing clothes. Albeit short, it was interesting to get a behind the scenes look at the process of designing clothing. It made me want to know more about her work and how she made out. It'd be cool if they did some sort of update special on how and what Selma is doing today.

I miss the show it used to be
21 August 2021
I was sad to hear that this was going to be the last season, but now I honestly think season 7 should've been the end. This episode wasn't even funny at all. I'm an international viewer and not political. If anything I would say I lean to the left. After such a crappy two years, I just wanted the lighthearted B99 back.

Did they change writers completely? I just don't understand how the writing quality went so down hill since season 7. I didn't laugh once in this episode. Even the Charles storyline didn't live up to S1-S7 writing standards. Also, why is Dirk Blocker (Hitchcock) not on the actual show anymore? You can't have Scully without Hitchcock. A short video call isn't cutting it. This was not how I thought the show was going to go out.

A Magical Family Film
18 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
For me as an adult I give it a 6/10, but I do think if you're 10/under you'll get more out of this film. The plot was interesting, the writing was so-so and the characters were decent. The visuals are good, but I do think the dragons could've been designed better.

There was also a plot hole at the end, where Namaari's mother, Virana suddenly is "good", right after saying she wanted to get the other pieces of the dragon gem by any means necessary (including hurting Raya). That all being said, It's definitely not a bad film, it just could've been better. I'd recommend it to families with young children. It's very colourful and magical.

Back to Being a Comedy Show
14 August 2021
Now this episode should have been the first episode and they should've completely scrapped the actual first episode of this season. It was so badly written, but this second episode was back to actual well-written comedy. The stories were entertaining and I'm so glad to see Kevin back. Amy and the door scene and Terry running was hilarious. I hope Rosa rejoins the team (at work) before the last episode and I'd love it if Adrian Pimento atleast makes an appearance. He is such a great character.

Wow, the script was terrible
14 August 2021
Ok, I love Brooklyn 99. It's a show I look forward to watching every week and also binge-watching. This whole episode was just an example of bad writing. I think I only laughed once, when Amy made that crazy face at Captain Holt. They might as well have the actors just stand there staring at the camera and say what's right and wrong. That's what this episode felt like.

If you're going to have an episode about this topic atleast write it well. It was so boring and predictable, because you knew what was going to happen with Charles and Terry and you knew what was going to happen with Jake and Rosa. I'm really hoping they get back to how the show used to be. This is a half-hour comedy. You can include topics like this (ex. The ep. Where Terry was arrested by the white cop in his neighbourhood. That was a great episode.

Different Format and Still Hilarious
10 August 2021
At the beginning I was honestly confused, as I had no idea what was going on when they were showing "Previously On A. P. Bio" and I had never seen anything that was being shown. I personally hadn't seen this kind of format before in a television show, so it took me a minute to realize the greatness of this episode. I'm glad I kept watching. It was so well-written and funny. I had to rewind one scene in particular because it was so hilarious. Well done cast and crew!

Excellent Writing
9 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The storyline was very relatable and the acting was great, especially by Tracee Ellis Ross. She was incredible. This is one of the best written episodes so far. I enjoyed the scenes with Pops and the locks. He's hilarious. I also loved that the kids were helping out.

I have waited so long for Rainbow to tell her mother in-law Ruby off and for Dre to actually have Bow's back for once with his mother. It was glorious, I absolutely loved that scene. Ruby's constant insults to Bow is hard to take. That joke has gone on long enough. All in all, it's an episode you don't want to miss.

Writing Went Downhill This Season
12 July 2021
This episode has got be the most poorly written episode of season 7. For starters, college seniors would have already had to chose a major already. They spent 4 years in college and they're just deciding now what they want to be? At one point they were talking about becoming a pediatrician or a vet, they both require specific course requirements that they would have had to take in college. I understand Eric not knowing what he wants to be, but Jack and Rachel both just doesn't make sense.

Also, Eric has worked at the wilderness store with his father before and they acted as if he never did. Also, why was Alan so uncharacteristically unsupportive of Eric? I think the writers just gave up.

I just heard the news of the cancellation. I'm very disappointed, I actually really enjoyed this show. It reminded me of the King of Queens type comedy. It's an easy watch and entertaining. The characters are funny and the plot was interesting. I was looking forward to season 2.

It's one of the most memorable episodes of the whole show, if not the most. That scene between Topanga and Stuart, the professor in her dorm room was so well acted and really makes you uncomfortable just watching. Great acting by both Danielle Fishel and Fred Savage. Fred is such an underrated actor. This episode really sticks with you. If you haven't seen it yet, I'd highly recommend it.

The Food Fight Is The Best
2 July 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Some good comedy moments with Cory getting jealous of the kiss between Shawn and Topanga. Primarily when he ripped off his shirt and the bodybuilder came into his room and then when Shawn and Topanga pranked Cory after their date. That was funny.

My favourite scene is the food fight between Eric, Jack and Rachel. It was hilarious and I can only imagine how much fun that was for the actors to film.
