Rebirth (2020)
Not really worth the watch to me
I don't mind watching low budget horror, but I honestly couldn't get past the fact that this is basically another Night of the Living Dead remake.
It's also kind of hard to feel sorry for a guy playing the damsel when he's constantly whining and crying. Even in the original the damsel wasn't so much of a damsel as she grew into a heroine, but this guy's character tries doing the same while still whining the whole time.
The synopsis doesn't particularly line up either I'd change it to
"During two brother's annual visit to the cemetery things go awry when the dead start coming back to life"
Instead of "they" have to fend off violent assailants.
Muay thai - Nai khanom tom (2003)
Cant seem to find it
I've been spending time looking for this movie, but have not been able to find it. I love historical films about martial arts as I normally find them inspirational and would love to catch this one if possible.
Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island (1998)
A response on the film, its memory, and the critiques.
As a kid I absolutely loved this film and I still do today, because it gave (at least to me) an aura of mystery. However, I just watched the continuation "Scooby Doo Returns to Zombie Island" and I'm absolutely appalled at what you critiques have done.
There was nothing wrong with the direction the series took it straight to video films. You truly thought it was scary? Seriously? I thought it was a really cool film and the direction they were going with it provided a bit of mysticism to the Scooby verse.
Now here we are with the second installment being created in 2017, 18yrs later, and because you all who thought it was "too scary" for you decided to go and ruin it for everyone else. The monsters are no longer real in this particular Scooby story and they try their hardest to convince the audience the original never happened the way we think it did.
I hope you "critiques" watch the new one and realize the amount of damage you've done, because the series is made for the audience and provides great service to the fans. I'd be much much harsher to the constant complainers, but quite literally it would cost me my account.
Scooby Doo will always hold a place dear to my heart and I plan to show my children every one of them I saw group up through the years.
Haunted (2018)
Great production value, but so far that's all.
Whoever's over the production of this series has great cinematographers and equipment. However, for me where it falls short is lack of evidence backing the stories as the series states the what's told is true. The serial killing father ,whose been mentioned about a million times already, Some type of evidence to back the story to help reassure the audience that the story was real. Then there's the episode where this guy was essentially sent to a gay camp as a kid, if true I feel for the guy no one should suffer anything like that, but that seemed to just be about him being gay with only one mention where he had a slight glimpse of a demon there as he claimed to have been raped. Adding that the whole time what appears to be his brother's wife commenting and overly gasping to every part of his story.
I'm still watching it though, because I'm hoping that there's more value to be had with this series. So far the only value I've seen in it is the cinema photography and that's why I'm giving it two stars. It has potential and definitely a unique format just reassure the audience with facts about the stories where there would he police reports, footage, or even vocal recordings. If not, I'd suggest taking the tag line out, because it makes the statement false.
