More Detail, Please.

This is a wonderful documentary on such a very sad case. I remember hearing about it but not know much about it at the time. However, there were so many holes left in the documentary that really left the viewer wondering what had happened. Especially with regards to the lifestyle of the accused, it never seem to go into more depth and tell us about what happened or even tried to explain his mental state and why he acted the way that he did. Hopefully this will kick start the police to open the investigation again, but after all this time, is it likely that we're gonna find the true answer? Worth a watch if you like true crime.

Great Show
15 May 2023
This was a great show! Randomly popped up on YouTube and decided to go with it. There were moments of pure cringe and sometimes the characters were uncomfortable and unnecessarily mean spirited towards other characters which was slightly jarring. Other than that, the premise of the program was great with some funny highlights. I think It really needed a second series to grow more. Such a shame that the BBC has programs like this but won't give them the chance they need to develop. If you're a fan of Alan Davis I think you'll enjoy this. If you've ever worked in kitchen I think you might find some parts not portrayed accurately.

Suddenly (1954)

Wow

Suddenly could also be called surprisingly. This was the first Frank Sinatra film I've ever seen and to be honest it was absolutely brilliant. I was really surprised with the piece of the film and how they were lots of twists and turns. Usually when you come to this particular genre things can be quite predictable. However, this did have a lot of suddenly and surprisingly fun plot twists. It didn't stink with lots of overuse cliches that we usually see in today's films and cinematography was very engaging throughout. After watching this, I'm definitely going to find out more Frank Sinatra films.

Great

I've only ever heard of the Hacienda from being a fan of Oasis and Liam and Noel Gallagher. It is a wonderful documentary and even included interviews from Noel Gallagher. I would like to take a time machine to go back and party in the Hacienda at its peak, even though I'm not really a huge fan of that type of music. This documentary Had all the key players tell different anecdotes and stories of what used to happen there and how the Hacienda even became a club and social and cultural phenomenon in Manchester.

Even if you're not into this type of music, this is a well made documentary and if you're a music fan it will definitely satisfy any documentary needs.

Great

I wonderfully put together a documentary! There are lots of different interviews from people who either saw a new Bob Marley. Lots of stories and anecdotes from people who were there and remember Bob and the gigs and time in the UK with fun memories. I would recommend this to anybody who is a fan of Bob Marley, and even those who aren't as it is such a good documentary with great old footage from the 70s reggae and punk scenes. Don Letts features heavily in this documentary, which is really nice because I like to hear his take on the punk era. The BBC really do a good job of documentaries like this together, and I hope they continue to do more.

A great music documentary showing some of the behind-the-scenes footage of Taylor Swift. I may not be the biggest fan or know her songs but I do like a good documentary and this one was really well put together.

I'm not even the biggest fan of Kanye's music but this documentary really made me want to go back and listen to his music. It's amazing to know that he was not taken seriously as a rapper and had to really fight for what he was good at. This documentary is not biased and seems to show both the good and bad sides of the man. Really well done and definitely worth a watch if you like music documentaries.

A let down

I know this is supposed to be a little bit of fun and escapism but there was just something a bit corny about it.

It's the undertaker! It should've been really scary and engaging.

A brilliant documentary well researched and well put together. It was captivating throughout.

I'm still one of these people who is sceptical about all the online currency jargon, I can't begin to imagine what it must feel like to lose so much money. I too would be making Netflix documentaries trying to find this guy.

Despite what some other reviewers say I think the old stock footage is brilliant. I don't have it I've never seen before and having heard about this on the news a lot it's great to see it all in its context.

If anything I would've liked a third episode that would've delve deeper into some of his cases.

Admittedly, I'm not the biggest VU fan but you don't have to be to enjoy this documentary. Great pace, interviews, archive footage and music. I was gripped throughout. So if you're a fan of this it's a MUST SEE, if you're just a must documentary fan like I am, it's also a must see.

Great Doc

I cannot believe these people just didn't throw these people out of their houses. How could they continue living with these people day in day out!

Talking about the documentary though, Netflix got this one right. It's definitely one to watch which is saying something has a lot of the true crime documentaries on Netflix can be hit or miss.

I actually just bought the cassette of the soundtrack of this movie because the track list was amazing. I wish I had seen this movie when I was a teenager, it would have been my favourite film, but watching it as a 34 year old just made me think of a time gone by. Worth a watch even just to reminisce about your teen years.

A wonderful documentary to remember Sophie. As I finished watching this I googled the killers and .... THEY ARE GETTING OUT THIS YEAR! Unbelievable. Sophie's mother seems like one of the nicest mothers in the world and what happened to her is disgusting, God knows how many gallons of tears she has shed.

Great documentary on a great festival. I've never been but it's clear to see that this is a 'must go' to place. Very interesting on all accounts and nice to see interviews from artists in this.

This film was amazing. Why wasn't it longer? Easily would have made a great tv series. Wonderful dialogue and acted superbly. Such a surprise to find what about Steve Jobs and despite being a bit of prick, did try towards the end of his life.

Warning: Spoilers
This is a brilliant documentary, well thought out and portrayed by Louis. It's just like his earlier work where just his presence or silence insights just a reaction from people. I'm neither left nor right. I just want to live my life but the subjects of this documentary were actually quite convincing with their bollocks. But once the guy came in saying he was going to rape a girl ... Game over! Louis on it as always!

Unexpected!
8 February 2022
I watched this simply because it was the next thing that came up on Netflix and to be honest I was hooked from the start. The one thing I just dont get with documentaries like these is .. where do these people come from? How stupid do you have to be to get sucked into a con that lasts so long. A one time thing, oops, my bad, but again and again! This documentary was well put together with great footage and story line. Worth a watch if you like true crime.

This was a brilliant documentary about David Icke. It wasn't particularly biographical and the description of spirits coming to him in a book shop was a little far fetched for me. But I do find him in interesting person to listen to, whether I agree with him or not. This documentary was more of him putting a line under a few things that have happened to him.

Disappointed
3 February 2022
I don't like to write negative reviews so I don't want to go on about how bad it was. It wasn't particularly bad, but with that cast, I hoped it would be ... better. A lot of the jokes felt forced or that we've heard them before. Go and watch another Dwayne Johnson movie.

A fantastic movie. I wish I could just leave it at that and people would read that as a review as it was haha this movie was captivating throughout and hilarious at the same time (thanks to Jonah Hill!!). DeCaprio is wonderful in this and his outburst scene was mesmerising! It was scary to think that if this did happen to us, the powers at be fret humankind with the same fate.

A great movie! Much better than I remember it being. Pachino is frightening in this and Reeves plays his character with wonderful conviction. I like that it had that 90s feel to it yet still seemed brand new. Great ending as well. Definitely worth a watch.

A great music documentary mixing band footage and a live show. It's Motorhead, so we get loud, fast music and dry humour from the lads in between. A great watch with a couple of beers! I especially liked that it was in black and white.
