Hit all the right notes.
The trailer looked comical, but still not like my cup of tea, royals and politics... Watching this show was the BEST decision I could have made.
The show exceeded my expectations, or should I say "hopes", since I was not certain what to expect when I started the first episode.
I loved the writing, cinematography and use of color. The great performances by all the actors brought these deep characters to life and left me wanting to watch a movie about each individuals' origin story. The way many scenes were filmed and flowed effortlessly was entrancing.
So if the genres are Comedy, Romance, Thriller, Satire, Drama, and DARK Comedy; if the feelings are sadness, passionate, hopeful, confused, intrigued, desperate and entertained...then yes, The Regime cleverly hit all the right notes.
The only reason I give 9 out of 10 stars is because I feel like so many of my questions weren't answered. So I'm left thinking about the movie, over and over. However I think part of being a good film/show, is leaving audiences wanting another fix. I would like more, please ;)
