Abandoned (2022)
Good for falling asleep to
So many questions, Can Emma Robert's finish any tasks? She's like I'm gonna unbutton my shirt, baby cries, never mind unbuttoning my shirt. I'm gonna try to pull this nail out with my bare hands.. Nevermind, let's sew, whoops pricked my finger, let's read these papers, no I'll just skim thru these and make faces.. let's try breastfeeding, okay he's fussy nevermind.. i have adhd man you can do me like this!
Then there's the husbands job.. it's like ok who is writing your checks and keeping you so busy? I've only seen you with like one person. And why are you boiling bones, where is the clinic you work in?
Also: Where's the GD pacifier? Why does Emma Roberts always look at the baby in disgust? Did you look at your students like that? What's up with the soundtrack ruining the few moments that could have been scary? Why does Emma have to take the baby into her psych appt I literally JUST saw the husband.
Did the diapers ever get cleaned up?
Over the Top (1987)
Did we see the same movie?
What??? What's up with all the awesome reviews? Okay the kid was annoying as hell. I feel so much of the story is left out. Like the reason the parents split in the first place. And what happened to the birthday letters? I know it's implied the grandfather was probably behind it but it's not clear. Cockamamie is the only word that comes to mind.
Léon (1994)
Kinda cute but alotta cringe
Alright so Natalie Portman is 12 but acts like a street smart 40 year old prostitute. She smokes and knows how to sweet talk the gentlemen. There's some sexual tension betwixt her character and the hit man. Which, fear not, the hit man rejects. Gary Oldmans character is a little too eccentric, a lot of corny lines.. and he's supposed to be an absolute animal but his murderous rampages are pretty basic.
Legion (2010)
A 5.2 for real?
Dudes I thought this was a beautiful story. Dennis quaid dies early enough to not get on your nerves. This movie checked all my boxes. Creepy demon stuff, a bunch of strangers forced to work together.
Swiss Army Man (2016)
Just don't eat
Ok does Paul Dano ever not play a creep? Nevermind that. But listen, really good really weird movie. Just don't watch around any meal time. The ending was a little twisty creepy.
Rewind (2019)
Did we see the same thing?
I had a hard time following. A lot of the scenes involving the mother felt so forced that I could hardly take it. Idk man I just don't see how the reviews are so good for this.
The Voyeurs (2021)
Okay little convoluted but..
At first I turned this on so me and my man could make fun of it. But it was filmed really well, and written well. And the characters kinda have a way of drawing you in. Even tho they come off as annoying at first. Kill some time and watch it.
Level 16 (2018)
Dude I really dug this movie
I just kinda threw this on for background noise while I played some games on my phone. But I didn't end up playing any because this movie was so good. It's kind of got a vibe like The Giver but with a much better twist.
A Quiet Place Part II (2020)
Fing love it
A lot of unanswered questions get answered in this one. Which was nice. Nice visuals. Cillian murphy is there and that's really nice. But yeah, great movie, and uh yeah, kids for the win!! You'll know what I mean after you watch it 😉
The Rental (2020)
It's cuz she popped that zit on his back. Sick!
Yeah so the acting was great. The story line was pretty reasonable. The ending kinda left you like "wait.. what? Why?" But it was a decent flick.
Guardians of the Glades (2019)
I never watch stuff like this
I generally get turned off from this kinda show right away. They usually have those cast members who try too hard to be funny and it just makes it awkward to watch. But this show seems pretty genuine and I've learned lots of stuff so far. Python poop stinks really bad, put the head in the bag last, body goes first. No bubbles no troubles oh and hucklebuck means jimmy rig. Dusty Crum is my hero.
Shark Season (2020)
Bbbwwwwhhhhaaaatt??
Okay so I have 45 minutes left to go but if you need a great movie to make fun of with your boyfriend, this is it. Highly predictable, very contrary. The dads on the phone like "is there some other island you can swim to?" And the chicks like "dad no we're in the middle of nowhere" and then you'll see another island in the background. It's so bad it's awesome!
Sisters (1972)
Damn they don't make them like this anymore
Fantastic movie with a bit of a twist. Margot Kidders French accent was a little overdone but still an awesome movie.
Feud (2017)
Finally got my wish
Ever since I was 10 (I'm now 30) and first watched Whatever Happened to Baby Jane I wished that one day there would be a film where Susan Sarandon portrayed Bette Davis. Sarandon is dead on with her portrayal of Davis and this series was everything I hoped it would be.
Bombshell (2019)
Wow
Maybe it's just the way that I interrupted this movie but I loved the way these ladies treated each other. There were always these little unspoken nods of respect toward each other. Especially between kidman and therons characters. Definitely a movie that you want your daughters to watch (when they're old enough).
Mank (2020)
I have hope again!
Whenever they try to recreate these... shall I say Hitchcockian type of films, it's always a little disappointing. But not this time. The scores were right on the money, as was the point of view and the editing. The mannerisms, wardrobe and scripting.. the way the story is told.. Everything about it made me feel like this was a legit oldie.
