Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: Dutch Tears (2023)
IceT shows us why we love Fin
This episode is a real tribute to the character of Fin and a pleasure to see IceT take charge of this episode. It was nice to have less Olivia. I love her but I didn't miss her trademark dramatic whisper!!
The story was well written from the beginning. Seeing Liv make sure Fin got home OK was great. The love and respect between them has developed over the years.
Watching Fin work his way through the details of the old case was well done. They did a nice job of bringing in Fin's growth as a cop as well as a Dad. The relationship he has with Ken has been a real highlight for me as a loyal fan. Now with his grandson, it's even better.
It's been a while since I have enjoyed an episode as much as this one.
Only complaint was the silly pickle jar thing!
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: Amaro's One-Eighty (2014)
Enough Amaro
This episode was the tipping point for me and Amaro. His temper has been too much. We had years of that crap with Stabler and in subsequent viewings, this just pushes it too far. All that's missing is the required punch out of his locker to make it complete.
As for the rest of the episode, I have never liked Cassidy, and cannot understand what Benson is doing with him. How he ends up questioning Amaro makes mo sense.
Finally losing Cragen is tough. He has been a favorite from the start. Nice to see him go out with class. His advice to Olvia to "take care of yourself" is straight from his heart.
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: Caretaker (2018)
Poorly written .. Not up to SVU standards
I have to say this was just awful. A brutal murder of three kids. They chase down the maid, throw her in jail when we all knew she was not guilty. Oh for the days when this show was about finding the perp, not finding them ASAP and then psychoanalyzing them.
But wait, in the second half Olivia testifies like she's a freaking psychiatrist. She's always acts superior to everyone, but this was too much. Right after that we see roses delivered to Rollins so she and Olivia can get all misty about their kids.
Lastly the lawyer defending her sucked.
What a disappointing episode. Let me add as usual Stone was awful. Not a fan. Plus the ending was so cheap. She hangs herself and it goes away.
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: Gone Fishin' (2017)
Real stretch
All this time we have seen Olivia do a lot of things, both good and bad, but one thing she never was is stupid. She has dealt with minute details on hundreds of cases but can't remember a few hours back when she YANKED Noah out of traffic. Seems like a real stretch.
The rest of the episode is a good one. Fin dressed as a tourist is a bonus!
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: Girls Disappeared (2014)
Too much
This episode was so disjointed that it seemed like several episodes rolled into one. I had to check to see if I had dozed off
Aside from a poorly written story this episode was when we get our first exposure to Olivia and her whisper. It is beyond annoying. Add the fact that she's speaking to an infant and it's all too much.
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: Philadelphia (2007)
Show some Respect
I didn't like Simon from the start so on that front, this episode was fine. His story went on a little long, but came to a definitive end.
But the way Olivia acts and the way she treats Cragen is absolutely ridiculous. She shows no respect for him and does whatever she wants. Cragen even tells both her and Stabler that he has stuck his neck out for them many times. Neither one of them says a word.
The beginning of a very slippery slope for Olivia.
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: Terrorized (2016)
Too much Olivia
This episode was a tough one to watch, but not only for the subject matter but for watching Olivia do what ever she wanted to do. Exactly when was she put in charge of all of NYPD. Just too much this time.
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: If I Knew Then What I Know Now (2022)
Good Episode
I didn't think I would like the Carisi / Rollins thing but this was well handled. It was interesting to see what a struggle it was. Both of them have really grown on me. Liv was great as usual!
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: Murdered at a Bad Address (2019)
So much to love about this episode
First, any time Melinda Warner appears, I love it. She was her usual kind self with Olivia. The multiple stories were well told. Let me add how glad I am that Simon is dead. He was Trouble (like Rollins' sister). Finally Fin was great with the kid getting out of jail.
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: December Solstice (2015)
Give me a break
A judge should have never allowed the daughter to testify. Also Carisi running around like some teenage fanboy was embarrassing. On the plus side it is always nice to see Mercedes Rhuel.
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: Shattered (2010)
Horrible all around
The story made no sense and the writing was so bad it was actually offensive, like when Sharon Stone told the French woman that she could "can can" away. Stone was way over the top and not in a good way. When she appears with the dead boy draped over her arms it is just
too much.
Gave one star because of the wonderful Tamara Tunie. She always nails it.
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: Post-Graduate Psychopath (2021)
Best in Season
Loved this episode and thought Kelli Giddish was great. I was on the edge of my seat and screamed at the TV don't go in the fun house.
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: 911 (2005)
Mariska's Finest Hour
Mariska is this episode! She never gives up and you can see how deeply her job affects her. When she smashes the phone you can feel the frustration. When they drive the cars through the fence it was great. Emmy winner well deserved.
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: Dreams Deferred (2012)
The Best
Very simply the best SVU ever. Patricia Arquette was Fantastic. The ending had me in tears.
