Cruel Summer (2021)
I guess
I really want to like this show, which is why I've kept watching it so far. I actually really despised this show when it came out, but I kept watching and eventually, it started growing on me. However, the show has a huge issue I just can't look away from. It makes me cringe in every single episode. The use of "Computer/laptops" in this show is NOT realistic for the time period. You have people using laptops to chat online in 1994? The internet was barely invented, WIFI straight up wasn't even a thing yet, and here you have some girl typing "online" from her laptop on the couch...There are so many forms of communication that teenagers took advantage of in the 90s. But for some reason the show decides to use 2000s technology instead. I think it's just a lazy way to push the narrative of the show.
Also, I find Jeanette really annoying. I find her endlessly irritating in 1993, selfish and entitled in 1994, and in 1995 she just looks angry and pissed off all the time. There just isn't a time period where I like this girl. Even if Jeanette is innocent, which she probably is, I just can't stand her.
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (2018)
What happened to season 3?
I am so disappointed with the 3rd Season. It actually makes me angry. I've been looking forward to this season for the longest time, and what they gave us is an absolute mess. The creators of the show are back pedaling on character development, and making overall stupid mistakes. It's honestly like the creators of the show forgot about all of the story progression, and built up in Season 1 and 2. I stopped actually watching this season after episode 5, and just decided to skip through it because, it was becoming messy, and unwatchable. For the sake of season 4 I hope it gets better, because I feel like they're really losing me in this season.
Oh, and if by chance the creator of this series is reading this. STOP TRYING TO DO A CROSSOVER. Just make the show it's own thing. I don't want this show to end up the same as Riverdale. A show that had an amazing first season, then devolved into a flaming pile of trash.
