Wonderful and Romantic Story
7 June 2005
This is the most romantic movie I have seen in many years. I love the actors and the story. I am 68 years old and this story takes me back when I was in my 20's and 30's. I watch this movie every day, when I have time. Jack Warden is a wonderful actor. "Jack" is the very best! I can't say enough about him. He is romantic, funny, good looking, ( he is the age of my oldest daughter). The story he tells "Lucy" about what leaning means is so impressive I could cry. No other actor could have put it over as well. I think he must be a very underrated actor, because I never hear anything about him. I am going to check out the names of the Mother, I know Peter Boyle is the Father, the sister is wonderful. The actor who played Joe Jr. is excellent. I have never seen him before. The Grandmother is as good as she has ever been and I have seen her in many movies over the years. I wish I had seen this movie when it first came out. This year I have found it and I am very, very happy! Thank you for listening. Florence Stockton, Reno, Nevada florriebbc@sbcglobal.net

Fascinating Story of Selfishness
6 April 2004
Hello, I watched Dodsworth on TCM this morning. I absolutely loved the film. The book must be even more wonderful. The perfect story of a good man married to a very social concious, selfish womam who ruins so many lives with her attitude. The good thing is to see the wonderful film actors in their early film experiences. David Niven; John Payne; Walter Huston; Ruth Chatterton; Mary Astor. John Huston is an extremely handsome and talented actor. I just wanted to say something good about this fabulous and romantic movie.

Thanks for listening. Florence Stockton Reno, Nevada

Joan of Arcadia (2003–2005)
Fascinating Television Show...
23 December 2003
Hello, I think Joan of Arcadia is a very interesting show. The writing is good and Amber Tamblyn does a good job in her role. The other actors do very well. I am glad to see Jason Ritter in a good role like this one. Her parents are great also. I hope the show stays on so I can get to know all the other characters, especially the science/lab teacher. Cute, fun and romantic comedy!
16 November 2003
Hello, I have loved this movie since I was 10 in 1947. I love John Wayne and Claudette Colbert in everything they do. This is such a cute, fun and romantic comedy it makes a person want to really "be there". It reminds me of "It happened One Night" with Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert, from a few years earlier. I love that movie, also.

Such fun! Thank you for listening. Florence Stockton Reno, Nevada

Wonderfully funny and cute story of our youth!
25 June 2003
Hello, I enjoy this movie every time I am lucky enough to see it on television. I first saw this movie in 1946 when I was 9 years old. I live in Reno, Nevada and this movie was filmed in Reno in 1945. The actor, Conrad Janis, who plays the College boy, Johnny, became Mindy's father on the television series "Mork and Mindy" in the early 80's. He was so cute! Thank you for listening. A fun musical moveie of 1949!
9 February 2003
Hello, Along with Roy Rogers, Eddy Arnold was my hero! I was 12 years old when I saw this movie and naturally I was crazy about it! Wish I could see it again and hear Eddy in the old days. I watched him and listened to his music all through the years. He retired in the late 90's but still has his music out there for us to enjoy! Thanks for listening. Charming Story with Robert Mitchum and Lauren Bacall
8 November 2002
Hello again, This story of Mr. North is so well told. I had never seen Edward Andrews in a movie. He reminds me of Richard Gere. Any movie that Robert Mitchum or Lauren Bacall star in, I automatically "like"..I had never seen this movie or heard of it until today, 110802. I wish it had been advertised more. There could have been a sequel. Thank you for listening, Florence Forrester-Stockton Reno, Nevada

What a wonderful and interesting story...
15 July 2002
This must have been a play at one time. What an interesting romantic story about a family torn apart, because of bad/unlucky circumstances. I like all of Kay Francis' movies. I am learning more about Walter Houston. What a good looking and great actor. The story ends the way it should. It is a good romance without all the "love making"....A very talented singer is Gloria Warren. I am sorry I didn't know about her sooner. Frankie Thomas is so good looking and an impressive actor. I will have to find out more about him. As expected, Sidney Blackmer has always been good and I look forward to his movies. Thank you for listening. Florence Forrester-Stockton , Reno, Nevada

I will never forget Mr. Bug goes To Town !!
8 July 2002
Hello again, I have been thinking about this movie all my life. I saw it when I was 5 years old in Los Angeles, California in 1942. What a wonderful story of being good to one another, kindness, and charity. You forget it is the bugs relating to one another. It was just as if they were people. I love this movie and so do my adult children. Such beautiful color in this movie.I need to see this movie again. There is a story about an envelope in the movie, that I just can't remember the "why" of it.

Thanks for listening.

Hi again, Any movie Roy Rogers and Dale Evans are in is a treat for me. This film was very early in their career, 1944. Just a bunch of fun including the Sons of the Pioneers and Mary Lee.

Such a real story of tragedy and learning to live, again.
21 March 2002
Of course, I really enjoy Harrison Ford and I am learning to really like Kristin Scott Thomas. This is an exciting story and I love the personal feelings and closeness between people. I imagine most of us have lived a similar situation and learned from it. I own the movie and I watch it often. Thank you for listening. Florence Forrester-Stockton

The first time I saw this movie when I was a pre-teen, I loved it. It is innocent, real, true to life and I love Charlotte Greenwood and Shirley Temple. I can still see it in my memory.

A Wonderful Nostalgic Romantic Movie
22 January 2002
So many movies I have watched with Robert Mitchum and Deborah Kerr. They are wonderful together. So believeable. I have watched this movie twice this year. I am sorry I didn't know about it in 1985. The nicest romance that anyone can see. Thank you. Florence Forrester-Stockton, Reno, Nevada

The best romance ever filmed
9 January 2002
I do not remember the number of times I have watched this film, but it is always the very best every time I see it. It is so much better than Romeo and Juliet. This is a grown-up movie. I never tire of it and the actors. Probably comparable to Enchantment and Tomorrow is Forever. Thank you. Florence Forrester-Stockton florriebbc@aol.com

Sentimental story a person can't forget....
21 December 2001
The movie Margie was filmed in Reno, Nevada in 1945 - 46. I live in Reno and I see so many landmarks I recognize. This is a very romantic story of a simpler time we can all relate and it is a story that ends the way it should. I can never watch it enough. Memories... >

Gable's Back and Garson's Got Him !
13 October 2001
I was 8 years old when I saw this movie and it impressed me so much. I will never forget 3 things in the movie "Adventure". How to hypnotize a chicken; how the water drains out of the tub in a different direction depending on which side of the equator you live; how Clark Gable was yelling at his newborn baby to breathe. It was such a good romance, even to a young girl and I remember how the friend, Mudgin, was afraid of losing his soul. I am 64 years old now and it is still as fresh in my mind as it was in 1946 in Hartshorne, Oklahoma.

What a happy and tuneful movie
12 October 2001
I was 8 years old when I first saw this movie in 1945. I was so impressed with the blond beauty of both girls and to know that the Dolly Sisters were real people. June Haver and Betty Grable really looked alike. In my childs mind I thought they were my private dancers and I wanted to be just like them. I actually thought I was the only one who knew about them and they were my secret......What a kid! Thanks for listening. Florence Forrester-Stockton

very emotional love story
27 July 2001
I was 9 years old when I first saw this movie. I am 64 years old now and I have never forgotten the feeling I had when I saw Young Widow. I was too young to understand the feeling of Love, but it effected me enough that I have never forgotten the movie or the actors and I have not seen Young Widow since 1946.
