Forst (2024)
Really trying to be something it isn't
I read the books a while back and remember them being pompously written, with repetitive descriptions, and the characters' main personality traits being what they wore, the kind of chewing gum they liked and how much they swore. The series has similar 'depth' and it's over reliant on you having to fill in the gaps in the plot.
The choice of the main actor was also quite predictable, although personally I imagined Forst differently, but thats only a personal opinion.
You get to see the beauty of the Polish mountains though, and if you're not too fussed about things making sense then give it a go.
Krakowskie potwory (2022)
Great idea, really poor execution
This had such potential and I was very excited seeing a title based on the mythology from my home country but lord this is so poorly made. There's more holes in the plot than there's plot itself, the dialogues are shallow and at times infuriating and the acting is pretty poor too. Such a shame.
Outer Banks (2020)
Why all the shouting
The idea for a plot is great, so is the scenery, makes for a nice and easy watch. The characters are very annoying however, they rarely have a conversation without unnecessarily yelling at each other and grabbing and shaking each other, supposedly to highlight the emotional weight of the situation. Maybe I'm old now and forgot this is how emotional teenagers communicate, but it's tiring to watch.
