Friends: The One with the Male Nanny (2002)
I love this show BUT...
Undersrand that I LOVE this show, I really do, but this episode did NOT age well. It actually wasn't until after rewatching the series several times that I realized fully in this episode just HOW immature and homophobic Ross REALLY is (there are others just look for them). And to think the writers/producers/audiences let him get away with it?!? Sandy was a perfect "nanny" but they fired him just because Ross didn't like that he was a GUY??? He's soooo threatened that Sandy didn't conform to even HIS flimsy sense of "masculinity" that he refused to let him care for his child - Seriously?!? A horrible message.
Bob's Burgers: The Terminalator II: Terminals of Endearment (2020)
Another terrible lesson
I absolutely love this show, but I HATE how the writers continually push the dangerously unhealthy idea that one should simply tolerate someone's toxic behavior just you're related.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021)
Now my favorite Marvel movie
Can't wait to see more of this part of the Marvel universe, especially Awkwafina. Her and Florence Pugh are my new, all-time favorite side characters. Oh, and Hailey Steinfeld/Kate Bishop. Excited to see more colorful, bad-a$$ women in the MCU!
Black Widow (2021)
Highly underrated
I can only assume the pandemic ruined whatever chance this entry to the MCU had of succeeding, but I think it deserves a much better review than it's received. Having seen every other Marvel movie, this is easily better than half of them (although a bit longer than needed). I only hope we get to see more of Yelena and Red Guardian in the future!
What If...?: What If... Captain Carter Were the First Avenger? (2021)
Amazing animation!
Really, the animation style blew me away. I can't wait to see more! Trying to cram a retelling of the first "Captain America" movie into a smaller show felt really rushed, but if you have to do it, they did a great job.
