Z-O-M-B-I-E-S 3 (2022)
A predictable film without development.
I understand that this film is a DCOM and for kids. However, I don't like how people use the " It's for kids" as a excuse for their poor writing and direction. In my opinion, Zombies 3 felt very rushed and predictable. I understand that the films were centered around Addison figuring out where she belongs, but the build up was underwhelming.
iCarly (2021)
Only good for nostalgia
Hearing about the revival, I was really hoping that it wouldn't become one those pc shows or had forced diversity/representation. While watching the show, my worst fears came true. How can Freddie have a adopted daughter that old? Also, Harper was just the stereotypical sassy black female friend. I don't care what anyone says Harper and Millicent are unnecessary or obvious tokens created because of the times we're living in. I wish they would have just stuck with the original 3 and built around it. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with diversity and do believe representation is important. However as a black person, it would've been nice if the diversity was more natural. About the show, I wasn't expecting it to be on the level of the original, but I was hoping it would be decent. After watching the show, it was good for nostalgia feels but you can feel the lack of Sam's presence missing. I felt like Spencer was the only one bringing humor. Also, I understand Icarly was revolved around the internet, but I wish they wouldn't have intertwined too much of the real life internet culture.
Coming 2 America (2021)
Unnecessary
I hate to judge a film based on its trailer, but it was what I expected it to be. It was overall unfunny and all over the place. I felt like I was watching a SNL skit or parody of the first film. Most of the jokes were flat or recycled. It was crammed with too many cameos. There was no build up or development with the story. The actor who played the son was not great. The wigs screamed "Tyler Perry". There was double standards and a feminist agenda. If Akeem was to drug Leslie's character, that's all I'm going to say about that. Overall, you will get the feeling of nostalgia. However, you will not get a great continuation to the first film.
Side Hustle (2020)
Bland
After watching two episodes of this show, the chemistry in this show was not there for me. The characters were so bland. Their friend, Munchy, was overly quirky to the point it was annoying. Munchy's older brother tried too hard to be funny whenever he was on screen. Lastly, the storylines were so basic and all over the place.
Tyler Perry's Young Dylan (2020)
A mess.
After watching the first episode, it's obvious that Tyler Perry doesn't care about creating well written content and just threw something together. The show has horrible dialogue and chemistry. The actors try too hard to be funny especially the actor who plays the main character Dylan. He tries too hard to be urban in which causes his character to be annoying and unrealistic.
