The Sound of The Wind (2020)
Nice
I really enjoyed the performances and the honest depiction of mental illness by the lead actor. The music was also really beautiful and added to the film and its many layers.
Evil Dead (2013)
Good !!!
Darker and more grim than the originals and a good amount of gore. It lacks any of the fun though, but it's definitely one of the better horror movies the last few years.
Lupt (2018)
Another decent recommendation from Netflix.
It's a little slow film. A family on vacation are lost Their family member are killed. A claustrophobic story with an excellent performance by Jaaved Jaaferi, Vijay Raaz and Niki Walia. The boy who does prank is also very good in the film. The scares were... well there weren't many. Don't expect Lupt to be an exclusive horror film. Its a thriller and focussing more on emotional drama. like i said its a slow film. The direction is not bad. Story could have been better. what i liked the best is the title song. Very well composed. The makers should have promoted the title track of the film instead, they heavily promoted "Bhoot Hoon Mai song". The ending was a little fumbled, but otherwise it was quite enjoyable for me. 6/10
Starred Up (2013)
Grim and emotional. Not the usual father-son plot.
An intense prison film with some proper violent action, solid acting, ok dialogue, and nice cinematography. Things look and feel realistic not that I've been to prison, but it's what I'd expect it to be like. I don't know how likely the portion near the end of the film is to happen in real life, but it makes for a good story. My biggest gripe with this film is that I couldn't understand everything because of the character's dialogue, and I managed to miss the fact that the main character's dad was in prison with him for a bit of the film. Not a film for everyone but if you like crime films and violence it's a good watch.
Green Room (2015)
Extremely entertaining and brutal.
Tense horror film that dedicates sufficient time to developing its narrative and not a second more; the descent from naivete into pragmatic ferocity is as compelling as the tightly crafted setting. Stewart is great as the restrained, effective, 'socialized' Nazi, who orchestrates the cruelty rather than partake of it himself. The realism distinguishes this outing from later A24 horror from the likes of Aster, which would incorporate supernatural or psychologically twisted elements almost by default.
The Eyes of My Mother (2016)
Probably one of the most terrifying psychological thrillers I've ever seen.
One of the most disturbing and uncomfortable movie experiences for me in years. Perverse, yet completely morbidly plausible. I feel bad for this innocent child who grows up and later becomes isolated and accustomed to being twistedly fixated on her dead parents, then on to murdering senselessly. It just gets so, so much worse.. Kudos for disturbing me!
The Ritual (2017)
Interesting and unique take on Nordic myth. Definitely worth a watch.
Bruckner has an eye for horror. His shorts in the pasts have always been the best parts of the anthologies he has been a part of. With the ritual, you see some of that shine, especially with the creature itself. I feel like with a little more experience handling a full flick and maybe some guidance in some areas, he'll shine along with Ari Aster and Mike Flanagan. For now, The Ritual is hopefully the beginning for a promising filmmaker.
Mindhunter (2017)
Loved It !!!
An interesting series full of suspense and surprises that makes you want to finish it in one day. . Its dark, thrilling, stylish and most importantly well written and amazingly directed. Takes a couple of episodes to settle in, but once you dive in you're in for a treat.
Split (2016)
Great!!!!!! and Fun!!!!
A dark character work that is masterfully created for its kind. Symbolic and thrilling; this is even a better movie than the previous story that is unexpectedly connected with.
It (2017)
Good !!
Despite having plenty of gore, It works because it retains a sense of decency. Unlike some of the gratuitous horror films we've seen lately, where women in particular are dispatched in the most disturbing and inhumane ways It does not delve into offensive violence. Give it a try.
Get Out (2017)
Outstanding!!!
I loved this movie the first time I watched it before I even understood or recognized the deeper meaning and symbolism behind it. It was just a wonderfully entertaining and well-written horror film! Then once I learned what all of it represented and rewatched it, it went from great to brilliant in my mind.
Gisaengchung (2019)

Its triumph at the Oscars didn't surprise me that much: this movie is simply amazing! You have to watch it at different times in order to get all its cryptic messages. Plot, storytelling, screenplay, shots, and dialogues need to be deeply studied. A flawless masterpiece from South Korea! Highly recommended! My rating 9/10
