This episode would be great if not for the choices on Andy's plotline. It simply isn't okay to naturalize his behavior post boat trip. They should have left him in the bahamas.

Who could possibly think this was a good development for Andy?

There's this cringy attempt to make Andy's personal revenge minimally justified, which honestly just makes me fisically angry. Just make the man fall and be done with it. I miss boat Andy. Great Dwight and Angela plot though.
Conveniently empty

I'm stunned at how pointless all the moral dilemma inside this episode turned out to be. Ignoring the astronaut's arguments was bad, telling the Earth to switch the lights was worse. Having the Doctor as deus ex machina king is predictable and boring, truly one of his worse moments.

Overrated cringy experience

A movie with sloppy writing and pretentious execution that asks quite a bit from its audience. Seems eager to position itself on the right side of history and playfully joke about nazis, but fails to compel us to really join the ride or provide a reason for its existence, merely scratching the surface on both comedy and melodrama levels.
Jojo surfed on some hype, but will prove itself forgettable and cringe-worthy in the future. There isn't even enough for a moral discussion concerning this movie, because unlike The Producers, which at least develops comedy and provokes reflection, this is but cheap opportunistic plastic with decent advertising.
I'm giving it two stars for the adorable Yorki, which is fabulous and should have been the main.

From nihilism to utter frustration

This is one of the more profound episodes in the Doctor Who series, straying a bit far from the usual melodrama. It is greatly ironic that the Doctor saves the day by fuelling the dalek with his own hatred, for he doesn't really believe in his own goodness, let alone in the dalek's. The only silver lining is that, in the end, the Doctor actually TRIED to help the monster, believing even for a moment that it could contain goodness. That is Clara's ultimate conclusion.
