Inventing Anna (2022)
My God, the accent. It ruined it.
I was really enjoying this show, but I had to call it quits after four episodes. I just couldn't take the accent any longer. I like to get lost into a drama, and every time Anna opens her mouth I am shocked back into reality. Nobody .... NOBODY ..... talks like that.
I'm really amazed at how bad she is (because of the idiotic and fake accent); I loved her in Ozark.
Alias Grace (2017)
Loved all but the last episode
The last episode ruined it for me - I loved the series otherwise - and it made me regret having wasted time watching it. I don't mind when a series leaves you guessing at the end - Sopranos for example. But this ending was so confusing, in so many respects. The doctor banging the landlady (on the hard floor, both fully clothed) and then horribly insulting her immediately upon conclusion - what did that have to do with anything, and what was the point. (I didn't mark this as a spoiler, because, as I said, it had nothing to do with anything.) And several other similar idiotic incidents which I won't cite, to avoid spoining.
Halt and Catch Fire (2014)
Last two episoded ruined it for me
With two episodes remaining, I felt this was a fabulous series with palpable suspense as I eagerly awaited the last two. These last two episodes were absolutely putrid, and brought what would otherwise have been an 8 or 9 rating down to 6. What a bitter disappointment, and what a waste of two hours. My advice, just stop watching before the last two.
Killer Klowns from Outer Space (1988)
Couldn't stop laughing
This movie was a real treat. Funny, creative, entertaining, and even suspenseful. I couldn't stop laughing. But then, I love silly, bad 80s and 90s movies. The acting is bad, but that only makes the movie even more fun. I watched it with my 31 year old daughter; big generation gap there and we both loved it.
Tiger King (2020)
White Trash
Watched the first episode, I'm done. Terribly boring. Not so much a documentary on animals as a documentary on white trash.
