Repetitive nonsense filmed in the dark....
24 September 2023
I decided to watch this after hearing good reviews, but how wrong they were... in my humble opinion, of course.

The film appeals to those who like action from start to finish with absolutely zero storyline. If you have the attention span of a gnat, then this film really is for you. But if you like some story, time to ponder, or watch a film that's not filmed primarily in the dark to avoid you seeing 90% of what's actually going on, then you may have found your perfect watch.

I'd love to leave a positive review, but I wasn't able to find any positives at all. It's just more of the same gore fest tripe that's filmed in a location where they forgot to pay their electricity bill..... screams, saws, blood and, the occasional vomit to spice things up a little. Zzzzzzz......

Unsure what's happening here.....
11 May 2023
What on earth is this supposed to be? Drama, movie, documentary.... It's almost like a artistic take on crime, using people who can't act or process crime scenes professionally. It's a mishmash of everything, with an overriding fake and unprofessional feel to it.

It's a shame, as it could have been good. It's just a shame Netflix thinks it's audience is a bunch of gullible and brainless idiots that will accept this as reality.

I think it's probably based on reality, and may use some of the people 'involved' as underpaid actors - but regardless, it's completely ruined and unenjoyable to watch, in my humble opinion.

Great show... but it's always predictable who caused the crime....
14 November 2022
I've been watching this for years.

The criminals/suspects always match the same profile/description though, so it's rather predictable if you catch my drift....

Unfortunately, this is modern day America - with residents acting more like what can be expected from the third-world - full of criminals that are not intelligent enough to fit into a civilised society. Sad, but true, and only getting worse year on year as this show clearly demonstrates.

For the reasons above, the episodes can get somewhat repetitive, but it's worth a watch if you enjoy crime/police type documentaries/shows, but you'll always figure out who 'did it'.

Can't help but enjoy this....
5 October 2022
Maybe it's the sadist in me, but I can't help but enjoy this show. For me, it's the simple curiosity of what these animals can do, and it makes me wonder how much pain the more venomous species could cause - the ones that for obvious reasons cannot be tested. I hope there's a season 3, but they appear to be running out of animals. Maybe try some of the pain-causing plants that are about too? Some are probably worse than the animals. My only gripe, and it's a very minor and silly one.... It's that annoying fake fire they sit around discussing the bites/stings.... Light a real one and stop using a gas powered campfire. I look forward to more shows (hopefully).

Same old dramatised nonsense.....
14 September 2022
I was hoping for something different, but in reality, we're presented with the same old overly dramatised 'ghost show' that features a psychic who is constantly surprised by her own 'abilities' a 'tech' guy and Dave Schrader, who I once had a lot of respect for, as I thought he was genuine. Dave Schrader always asked great questions and hunted for truth, but he seems to have sold out in order to get onto TV (I guess we all have bills to pay). This show is aimed at the non-scientific, thrill a minute audience that have the attention span of a gnat. I wish my review wasn't as scathing, but this has been my finding thus far......I just WISH some of these guys could put their heads together and come up with a genuine show. We don't all need constant and orchestrated paranormal activity to keep us entertained....

Very well done, until the end....
29 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I still give this 10 stars as it was very well made. But the story at the end, although I don't believe was intentionally faked, I don't think was real and let the show down. In my opinion, the pilot either set this up, OR the 'movement in the hedge' was a someone with a camera making his/her YouTube video of someone in a fancy dress suit that was inadvertently photographed from the plane. It just didn't look real, and there are some cheap suits that are almost identical to what they were wearing readily available. I think the lady was genuine, but possibly mislead or mistaken.

A decent reboot of a classic!
13 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
****CONTAINS SPOILERS****......

This isn't going to be an in-depth review.

I thought that by modern standards this was a pretty decent reboot of one of my childhood classics. The fact it has most of the original cast in the film in some capacity was a nice touch, whilst not taking away from the younger actors making their way.

It was emotional and bittersweet seeing Egon Spengler make his final appearance in the film.

The only two things missing were Rick Moranis and the original SLIMER!!!!!!

Sadly, an Accurate Account of our Failing Modern World.
30 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I've always said that the end of the human race will be caused by the contagion that is *STUPID*. This film pretty much sums up the world we live in - a world where the latest MEME causes more of a stir than science. Sad times.

Although the film was completely different who what I thought (I didn't read the synopsis), it was actually pretty good and chillingly accurate in many ways.

Loved it, but the Animation felt flat
28 December 2021
I love the story, and enjoyed the animation. But it's not on the same level as The Gruffalo's Child and Stickman - they have a more natural, beautifully crafted and tactile feel. This one lacked some of that, and felt too smooth and flat in much of it. Too 'computery'. That said, I've rated it an 8 as I love all of the stories, and original illustrations.

Just terrible!

With the exception of a couple of shows, most are either pushing social ideology's or poisoning children's minds with utter nonsense.

Another Poor Remake....
18 May 2021
I think this was more about ticking politically correct boxes rather than making a rendition of 'The Witches'. It has no 'organic' feel to it at all! It's as if the director/producer has created a tick sheet with a list of what the film needs to have/show from the original, rather than follow a classic story. The CGI is poor and used far too much.... Why they have to remake classics so poorly is beyond me.

Dreadful
30 April 2021
I just can't see what so many people like about this movie! Everyone I know seems to enjoy it - but it's appalling in my honest opinion. Bad acting, silly storyline and poorly executed.

Respect Well Earned
3 February 2021
I've never had any hate for David and it seems obscured that anyone would - all because he was given the WCW title back in the day? Come on, wrestling is as much about showbiz and entertainment as it is about the hard knocks. Stories are all part of the business and the fact people still talk about the him winning the title 20 years on goes to show that it had the intended result - exposure to the masses. It's only keyboard warriors and jealousy that fuel any animosity.

Now on to the show. In my opinion it was entertaining, but I felt it was about chasing acceptance and proving a point - one that to me didn't need proving, but to David it seemed vitally important, which I can understand.

David has a big set of balls! That's for sure! And I hope he proved to himself what he's capable of, and I also hope the wrestling community appreciates his journey - a journey that most people wouldn't have the guts to travel. Wrestling is a hard way of life - more dangerous than boxing and MMA in my opinion, and the guys and girls that do it don't get anywhere near enough respect for their athletic abilities and physical and mental toughness.

I hope David found some solace in the making of this documentary and can move forward and enjoy life with his family.

Point proven and respect certainly earned, my friend!

Another Poor Show With Fame Hungry 'Investigators'
30 January 2021
This could have been a good show, and although it left out all of the hi-tech gadgetry (Which is a bonus) I just couldn't help but feel everything was put on. They seemed like they were ramping things to an ultimate climax of the show that they couldn't quite find, and so added dishonest elements to try and round it off the best they could - but this failed and let the rest of the show down.

In my opinion, the show may have been loosely based on some facts, but everything was staged in a small way to come across as more genuine - which it didn't. Another example of people jumping on the bandwagon to try and make themselves relevant, which ultimately failed.

Used to be good!
27 December 2020
But today, its not about the characters or the stories, it's all about WOKE and choosing actors based on the BBC's agenda rather than acting abilities of the cast. I can only watch so many actors that are there for the colour of their skin, or their sexuality, rather than their acting abilities. And now we have a new character who likes to play 'dress-up'..... what's the world coming to!?!?!

It's a sad day when CGI replaces natural beauty!
23 October 2020
It has a far too 'modern' feel to it. The magic is lost thanks to CGI and the lack of a natural 'British' ancient woodland. If you like a CGI rainforest with colour-changing plants and wooden set with CGI overlay then it may be for you, but for me it simply had no mystery and no magic.

If you're making a period film, then make one that reflects the period that you're trying to capture, and not a computer generated mess.
