Mariah Carey's Magical Christmas Special (2020)
Mariah Saves Christmas!
Every aspect of Mariah's Christmas Special is flawless-story, cinematography, set design, wardrobe, choreography, and of course vocals.
Mariah looks and sounds amazing. Jennifer raises the roof with her powerful chest voice; and it's great that Mimi let Ariana show off her own whistle tones in harmony.
Mariah owns Christmas!
Ozark: Fire Pink (2020)
Amazing glimpse into mental illness
Tom Pelphrey deserves any and every award they can give for his performance in this episode, as well as the previous two. His insightful, gut-wrenching portrayal of a man off his bipolar medication makes you feel what it would be like to be on all sides of mental illness, from patient to family member to passerby. Exquisite performance.
Over the Moon in Love (2019)
Nice Light Hallmark Fair
I don't know what people are expecting on here. It's a Hallmark movie, not a Meryl Streep blockbuster. As always, it's pleasant and sweet and takes the mind off the daily drudgery of work, chores, and bills.
Hello, Privilege. It's Me, Chelsea (2019)
We haven't come very far.
This documentary illuminates the uncomfortable realities of modern-day racism. Anyone who gives it less than 8 stars is doing so simply because he or she can't look in the mirror and see the changes that must be made within to properly respect others notwithstanding race.
