Signs (2002)

I enjoyed it

I am really shocked by the amount of bad comments about this movie. I was horrified to read that some people said that it was the worst movie they've ever seen. Oh please. Does anyone remember "Crossroads" or "Battlefield Earth"? Those two movies can qualify as the worst movies ever, but not Signs. Signs is a very suspenseful, edge of your seat type of movie that keeps viewers enthralled for it's running time. I thought all the characters were cast perfectly, except for maybe the director, who should just stick to directing, nice try though. :) All in all, I think that it was a great movie, with few flaws, definitely one you should give a chance.

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002)

Awesome

This is a great movie, better than the first, in my opinion. In reading others reviews, I noticed some were saying that "it wasn't true to the book, curse Peter Jackson.." or something along those lines. How can I put this nicely..hmm..get over it? This is a great movie, I have read the books. Yes, there were changes, but there were also changes in the first movie. Also, some changes had to be made to make the movie movie faster (heck, it's a 3 hour movie as it is.) So, ignore the people who are being WAY to picky and listen to this Tolkien fan, the movie is absolutely awesome. Definately one of my favorite movies. 10/10

Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997–2003)

Just fantastic

This show is so great on so many elements. Many people have said it has plummeted in its final season, but I must disagree. People say that the show is too depressing and was too dramatic. While I see why they may think that, you have to look at it through the characters eyes. If all those situations would happen to you, what would you do? As someone said on a Buffy website, "It's good to to see the writers telling a story that needed to be told rather than telling the story everyone wanted to hear." I couldn't agree with that more. So, if you have never watched this show, when you see it on TV, stop and watch a little bit of it. I practically guarantee that u will not be disappointed. I have never watched a show that can have u laughing one minute and crying the next. It is simple sensational.

Oh my..why do people in Hollywood keep insisting on putting pop singers in movies? This movie was very terrible. I hate it in movies when they have a singer in it and they just somehow find a way to make them sing in it. I could handle it when Beyonce Knowles from Destiny's Child sang in the Carmen movie on MTV. I even enjoyed when Mandy Moore sang in A Walk to Remember. (Most likely because she actually has a good voice, unlike Miss Spears) **spoilers** The thing that really bugged me about this movie was the fact that in the beginning Britneys character didn't even want to be a singer. Then, all of a sudden, she can sing! So her friend who wanted to be the singer just steps aside so Lucy (Britneys character) could be the singer. WTF?? I know, I know. This was just so Britney could sing in this God awful movie. So, I would say "Britney, I think you need to stick to singing", but the thing is she can't even sing! So maybe she should just leave the hole entire business. ha. keep dreaming.

Oh, in some of the other posts people said that we shouldn't just be judging Britney, because the movie is called Britney Spears. Well, the other actors did all they could but were given a very weak script. Also, the plot to this wasn't good. So really the movie *as a whole* wasn't good. Well, I think I'm done babbling now. ;)

Bad Company (2002)

very entertaining

Chris Rock is so fun to watch in this fun movie. He delivers a comedic performance that you can't help but laugh at. This one is worth your money. Don't expect an Oscar, but do expect to remember it and enjoy it!

A Walk to Remember (2002)

Not so bad

I read the reviews for this movie before I saw it, and, honestly, I wasn't expecting it to be good. The reviews said that Mandy Moore was too pretty to play this role. So I expected this to be another "Crossroads." But was I sure wrong!

While watching this movie, I completely forgot that Mandy Moore was even a singer. She did such a great job in this. And, for the record, she did not look like a pop star in this. I don't know where that reviewer could get that idea.

Now, if you have read the book, there are some differences. But really the changes didn't really bring the movie down, but make it even better. Yes, I would have liked some of the things to stay the same, but still the movie seemed to work anyways.

Shane West played Landon very well. He's obviously a growing actor and I hope to see him in other roles.

I'm impressed in Mandy Moore for picking a role like this instead of picking a lame chick flick movie like Britney Spears did. Some of the scenes in A Walk to Remember had some dramatic intensities, and I think Mandy pulled them off well.

Overall, I enjoyed this movie and I recommend this to anyone who's in the mood for a great movie. 9-10

Absolutely Hilarious!

This is one of the funniest movies I have ever seen. My roomate rented it and I wasn't thinking I was going to watch it but after observing a few minutes of it I just knew I had to watch it. I was literatly crying throughout the movie. This one is a good one..so go get it and rent Rat Race now! 10-10

Gladiator (2000)

Not hardly. If you want to see a predictable, extremely gory, and a bunch of mumbling actors in a completely over-rated film, Gladiator is the movie for you. That's truly what this movie is. Maybe the movie would have been better if you could have actually heard the dialogue, but i doubt it.

I saw this movie after I saw "The Green Mile." I loved "The Green Mile" and thought that I should see another prison movie with the same director. Boy was I glad I did.

The one thing I love about this movie is it's wonderful ending. I felt like that was the best thing that could have happened at that time. I loved it.

The only thing I didn't like was that I felt that the wardon got off easy. He died instantly. In my eyes he should of had to go to prison and live a horrible life. Oh well.

This is by far one of the best movies I have ever seen and I encourage everyone to see it. I cannot believe that someone would dare give this movie a 1. If you did, please e-mail me so I can thoroughly yell at you.

Oh, did anyone else notice that the music seemed very similar to the music in "The Green Mile?" 10/10

The Emperor's New Groove (2000)

Hilarious!

This is one of Disneys best new animated films! David Spade does a wonderful job portraying the selfish Kuzco. John Goodman also does a great job.

But I would have to say the funnist character in this movie had to be Cronk. His jokes were hilarious and I was laughing my butt off!

This movie is a must see!

The Exorcist (1973)

Not so scary now

I saw this the first time on July 5th, 2001. And when I saw it, it really wasn't that scary. But then I understand that I have seen all of these recent scary movies that when you see one that was made about 25 years ago, it's really not that scary. But I can definately see how it would have been scary 25 years ago. Overall, I gave it a 6/10 because the begginning was extremely boring.

The Green Mile (1999)

This is one of the best movies I have ever seen. It has wonderful acting, and a unique plot.

I have noticed a lot of comments say that this movie is too long and not a lot of good acting and blah blah blah. People! Why do you have to be so critical? This was a wonderful movie! You don't need to nit pick at it for every little detail. I am thoroughly disgusted with anyone who would give this movie a 6 or below. That shows that you watched the movie and didn't appreciate all the great things that it had and tried to find the smallest thing wrong with it and make a big deal about it. It also shows if you gave this movie a low rating that you have absolutely no heart.

Children of the Corn (1984)

When I rented this movie, I thought it was going to be a really scary movie with a lot of suspence. Boy was I wrong! The movie was not scary at all! People always tell me that this is "One of the scariest movies they have ever saw" and all that crap. I don't see how it can be scary! A bunch of little kids running around in a cornfield killing people! That is the plot. Oh yeah. This is one of the best. HA! Don't see this movie. It's not worth the $2.00 you pay to rent it.

Jett Jackson: The Movie (2001 TV Movie)

This is Disney's Best TV movie

I really enjoyed this movie. Lee Tompson Young did a wonderful job. Their was great acting, good stunts, and an original story from Disney. I doubt that any other original movie will be any better. This one is one of the best and I suggest if it's on that you watch it.

The Famous Jett Jackson (1998–2001)

One of Disney's Best Original Series

The Famous Jett Jackson is about a teenage boy that is on a hit T.V. show called Silverstone. Jett likes the small town life better than the city life so he gets the show to move back to his hometown in Wilsted, North Carolina.

This show has some really great episodes with good messages for kids. One of the episodes was about a teacher that got fired because he gave the students a book that the principal didn't see fit for the kids. The students protest against the acts.

This is a great show for children and teens. But adults will probally also find it entertaining.

Brokedown Palace (1999)

This movie is about two girls(Claire Danes, Kate Becinsale) that go on a fantasy vacation to Tailand. When they get there they meet a handsome Australian man. He acts like he loves them, minipulates them, and suduces one of them. Then he asks them to go to Hong Kong with him. The girls agree to go.

When they get to the airport, they get stopped by the police. The police search threw their bags and find drugs in their bag.

Through the rest of the movie the girls are in this prison like camp. Many times almost getting out. In the end, the "good girl" gets out and the "bad girl" stays at the prison camp.

There is some very good acting in this movie. I suggest that everyone goes and sees it. I gave a very brief discription of the movie and there are a lot of other things that happen in the movie.

Some people say that it is basicly a remake of Return to Paridise. If you haven't seen Return to Paridise (like me) you will think that this is a really good movie. 7/10.

Bedazzled (2000)

Stupid Movie

This movie was so patheticly stupid. It's plot was pathetic and not worth the effort. I am disappointed that Brendan Fraser and Elizabeth Hurley would pick such a stupid movie. They are usually in good ones. Don't go see this movie. It's not worth the money.

You Lucky Dog (1998 TV Movie)

Enjoyable movie

Cameron does a great job in this TV movie. It is so hilarious to see a grown man acting like a dog. When you think about it, it can kind of make you laugh before you even see the movie. It has some great acting, and so this makes it an enjoyable movie to watch.

The Sixth Sense (1999)

Absolutely wonderful movie

You can't help but love this very enjoyable movie. It has a great cast, wonderful acting, and a great plot. This is one of the very best horror films of all time.

Hayley Joel Osment does an outstanding job as Cole. He knows how to every seen to make them suspenceful and entertaining. He just does a wonderful job.

This is one of those movies that is gory but not to the extent that you get sick to your stomach. This movie is so suspenseful and keeps you on the edge of your seat.

You must watch this movie twice. Due to the ending, you look back and you see how it is true and you pick up details that you didn't see before.

The writers did a great job on this one. 10/10

Bounce (2000)

Great movie, if you're female (Contains spoilers)

This is one of those movies that males cannot find the real value of it. I (being female) really enjoyed this movie. It has a good plot, great actors, and really makes you want them together in the end. And, what do you know, they are together in the end!

That's what makes Bounce and about a million other romantic comedies out there not as good as the action films and the mysteries. They are just so predictable. You practically knew from the previews for the movie who was going to end up together.

But I really did enjoy Bounce. I really thought that Affleck and Paltrow had great chemistry. Enough said (8-10)

The Cider House Rules (1999)

Good acting, lags something though

This movie in my eyes was kind of boring. I don't know, maybe I wasn't in the mood. But it had basicly nothing was funny about this.

On a better thought, the acting in this movie was superb. Tobey Maguire does a wonderful job as the title charactor. He is a great growing actor.

There are some heavy issues in this movie. The subject of abortion is mentioned a lot in this movie. Another issue displayed in this movie is insest.

I don't know, maybe I was in the mood for a light-hearted movie. (7-10)

Bring It On (2000)

Eliza Dushku stole the show!

This movie was just ok. It had its good points, and it had its bad points. The one thing that really saved this movie was Eliza Dushku. She fit her part so well. She was wonderful on Buffy and great in Bring it On. She really stole the show. I give it a 8-10

Simply Irresistible (1999)

I don't know how you people can hate this movie. I know it isn't no Oscar winner or anything like that, but it is a cute show you might pop into the VCR if you need some cheering up or something. Sarah Michelle Gellar shines in this wonderful movie for all ages.

I've Been Waiting for You (1998 TV Movie)

Great plot, just didn't work out though

This could have been a great movie. The whole witch thing with the descendants and everything was cool. But the one thing that got me was the killer. What is up with that? The whole hand thing was just way too stupid. And its mask? That was just horrible. My friend and I were literately cracking up so much when that girl was running through the forest with the killer chasing her. It looked so cheesy!!!! Oh well, I give it a 7 out of 10.

Shakespeare in Love (1998)

Good movie, not my favorite though

I did enjoy this movie. But there were some things I thought could be better. Like, for example, why did they insist on so much sex? Quality entertainment does not have to have so much in it. But I really liked the diologue. Everything seemed to flow well together. It is a good movie. Definately a date movie. But I really don't think it should have won so many awards.
