it was one of the most interesting movies ... it reminded me of a book...actually it was based on a book as it shows right at the beginning, however it reminds me of a story...a Romanian book ... alexandru lapusneanu ... same storyline...anyway...very original, very violent, but that was actually good, because it had to express the cruel times we are living in. i wouldn't let my kid watch it, because he wouldn't understand it, but i would show it to him when he will grow to see it. Kevin bacon plays a great role, he is and always was a fantastic actor. i think the scene where Nicolas Hume and billy lie together on the bench is what you would call an ,,ok i give up you win, shoot me, do what you will, 'cause i'm beat, i can't take it anymore'' scene. it was marvelous...the soundtrack was also amazing...it kinda'reminded me of fight club...everything...even the fact that Kevin got shot in the end in the neck...and he didn't die, not right on the spot anyway...he did what he had to do and after he heard that his son was doing better and managed to move his fingers, he died in peace watching the tape where he and his family were all together laughing...the song ,,alright'' by pilot speed was extraordinary and resembles the idea captured by placebo in the song ,,where is my mind''...i'd really give it a ten...great acting, great actors, scenes, script, lines like : ,,u ready?'' in the end when billy had to die...very to the point...by the way i never thought of john Goodman as a bad guy...however he fitted perfectly in the skin of a weapon dealer...IF YOU DIDN'T SEE IT, SEE IT...JUST LIKE THAT...i liked it more than Goodfelllas really, or even CASINO...

I think the movie was excellent, Dane Cook is a good actor and a very good comedian. It is a good and relaxing comedy, it wasn't that great, however there were a few original things like the secret hiding place in the mall...who would of thought this could exist in a store or supermarket...whatever u wanna' call it... The casting is good. Jessica is just playing her role, but it isn't that spectacular, she doesn't appear as much as many of you would of thought, but anyway she does her job well enough. She smiles, giggles and looks hot... Dane is the character that makes the movie worth while and i loved the employee of the month stars ... it was a bit predictable that he would win, even if in the end the ,,bad guy'' was actually the winner... but the guard seeing the video tape...you knew that something suspicious would come up... Anyway...a nice comedy with plenty of laughter...I saw it with my friends and you should to, it is well-worth seeing and most of all it is good because i love Dane and his ideas and also I enjoyed the fact that Andy Dick was in the cast...i like him very much from Radio News...so...u should see this flick...I'd give it a solid 7.5 for effort and comic moments and the plot, original as well... Go Dane Go !!!
