Greek life
22 March 2008
I must say I thought the show Greek would be really ridiculous and stupid. Since I am part of a sorority I didn't want them to make Greek organizations look bad....

but I think Greek is hilarious. Yes, they do have the stereotypical sorority and fraternity but it's not mocking but just cute humor.

All the characters are pretty likable minus Rebecca Logan (I just can't stand her), Casey and Rusty have good chemistry as brother and sister. Then there is Cappie. Who doesn't love a guy like Cappie haha His character brings so much to the show. Rusty's room mate, Dale played by Clark Duke, is hilarious as well.

It's definitely fun to watch so tune in for season 2. I can't wait till it is back on!!

Cloverfield (2008)

can you say.. AMAZING
25 January 2008
Warning: Spoilers
Don't listen to all these people who were saying Cloverfield was bad. It was actually amazing. I can't wait until it comes out on DVD.

Anyway..

Cloverfield is something I have never seen before in my life. It's original, scary, suspenseful, sad, uplifting, laughable. It is original because of the whole idea of the movie. Yes it's another monster movie, but how it was filmed is something new. It was scary because come on a huge monster attacking Manhattan. There were some parts I jumped out of my seat.

I love how the movie completely takes you in a new world. I felt as if I was in the movie with all the characters. There were a couple of times my friend and I would look at each other and say we felt like we were about to run out of the theater lol. I just couldn't take my eyes off of the screen for a second.

Now the movie is really about the characters which was interesting. Rob and Beth were exes that still loved each other. Jason is Rob's brother who is dating Lily. Then there is the one and only HUD who is great comic relief throughout the movie. There were times I would be freaking out and Hud would just say something and I couldn't stop laughing. He was the best character in my opinion. Lastly, Marlena who is just sarcastically funny. She reminds me of my best friend so I really enjoyed her character.

Enough of me rambling but I will say again this movie was amazing and everyone should just go into the theater with an open mind and really concentrate on the characters more so than the monster.

Freaks and Geeks (1999–2000)

Freaks and Geeks = Best Show that was ever on Television
18 May 2007
I was born in '87 so I never got to experience the 70's unfortunately, but my parents never grew up since the 70's. So with them I was able to understand this show and absolutely loved it.

Freaks and Geeks is a story with really two main characters, Lindsay and Sam, who are brother and sister. Sam is a "geek" with his two friends Neil and Bill, who are absolutely hilarious and trust me you won't stop laughing. Then there is Lindsay, who seems lost being in high school, and starts to hang out with the "freaks" who do drugs, drink, listen to rock, and go against pretty much everything her family believes.

The acting is incredible and so believable. The music is the best part of the whole show. Styx, Zep, Rush, Van Halen, The Grateful Dead, and a lot more. I own to Season 1 box set and I make my friends watch it and now they realize how great of a show it is, but it sucks it's canceled. Even though it is canceled I will never stop watching my Season 1 of Freaks and Geeks and everyone should watch this show!!

so cute
4 April 2007
With some reviews I read about Little Manhattan, people criticize it because the kids are to young to be "in love" but I see the whole premise of the movie of Gabe having feelings for the first time for a girl. I thought it was a great movie on your first crush. Watching this movie reminded me of the first time I had feelings for someone.

Charlie Ray's debut on film was great and Josh Hutchenson as Gabe was great as well. Little Manhattan is definitely a great film to watch if you are just looking for something entertaining. It's cute, witty, and funny. That's all I ask for and I got it watching this movie. I definitely definitely recommend anyone to rent it with your family or whoever. It's great.

Best Movie I've Seen All Year
24 February 2007
I was completely and utterly captivated by watching The Illusionist. The storyline is very clever and beautifully written. Edward Norton did a phenomenal job, which was no surprise since he is amazing in every movie I have seen him in. I am very impressed with Jessica Biel. She was amazing. And of course Paul Giamatti was great as always.

At first I did not think Biel and Norton would have chemistry, but really did. You, as the viewer, could feel the passion that these two characters had for each other. I was almost speechless.

The Illusionist is one of the best films I have seen all year. It is absolutely beautiful and I would DEFINITELY recommend people to watch it. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!

The Rules of Attraction
31 January 2007
When I first watched The Rules of Attraction I was a young teenager that just felt really uncomfortable watching it with my sister. We decided to finish the movie and then forget about it, which we did for awhile. When I turned 18 years old I saw the movie on sale and for some reason decided to buy it and watch it again and try to understand the movie more. So after watching it I fell in love with the film.

Shannyn Sossamon is my favorite actress and have many of her movies and she is just brilliant in The Rules of Attraction. James Van Der Beek plays a very creepy kind of character. I was surprised that he did well in this film because the only other thing I ever saw him in was Dawson's Creek so it was hard to see him as this character other than Dawson. Ian Somerhalder just amazing as a sexually frustrated bisexual. The whole cast was great, but most of the characters are not likable, but that's why I was so into it. They were unpredictable and exciting to watch.

This isn't a movie to rent for a family movie, but if you are looking for something very different from other films this is definitely one.

A Beautiful Movie
24 January 2007
I enjoyed watching the Family Stone very much. At first I would watch the trailer over and over again, but never really thought to go see it. Then during Christmas time my friend suggested watching it one night even though I didn't want to, but now I am very glad she made me watch it.

The whole cast is amazing. Diane Keaton is one of my favorite actresses and did an awesome job like usual. Sarah Jessica Parker is great as an uptight conservative. Rachel McAdams is also one of my favorites and did an awesome job. Dermot Mulroney, Craig Nelson, Luke Wilson, and Claire Danes all did a wonderful job. And to not forget Tyrone Giordano and Brian White.

The movie touched me in such a way that I couldn't help myself but to tear up a little.. actually a lot. I definitely recommend this movie to watch for some good laughs and some soft tears.

Excellent Film
15 October 2006
Down in the Valley was a beautiful movie. Edward Norton played an amazingly disturbed cowboy, which got on my nerves at time, but overall great. Evan Rachel Wood did a great job as well and so did Rory Culkin even though he did not say many words, but you saw how lonely he was and mourned for a friend. Some of the scenes dragged out, which was boring.

Edward Norton's is picked up by Evan Rachel Wood aka Tobe at a gas station and invites him to the beach. Eventually everything goes down after that. They fall for each other and the dad does not approve of her going out with an older man, who thinks he's a cowboy. The rest you will have to find out by watching the movie.

I definitely recommend this movie!!!!

Sickest Movie Ever
6 October 2006
Personally, I can't stand horror films sometimes, but I love to watch them at the same time. I know that's ironic, but a good scare is in need once in awhile.

Now if you like gore, suspense, and intensity then this is the movie for you! The acting was great and I loved finally seeing how the family came about with their sickness for killing people.

The gore is so bad that a few girls at different times ran out of the theater about to throw up, but that's how you know that is a good movie. So I would definitely say go see Texas Chainsaw, but BE PREPARED for what you are going in for once you sit down in that dark theater!!!

Definitely Worth Seeing!!!
24 September 2006
I love football movies so this definitely caught my attention once I saw the trailers. It's not as amazing as Remember the Titans or Rudy, but I know I will be buying that movie once it comes out.

The Rock did a great job acting and so did Xibit. I was very surprised. Each person embraced their character so well. Within the first 2 minutes of the movie I was already tearing up. There are many parts I start to tear up at especially when the gangs start to unite in the football team. This is a very touching movie with lots of action and surprise. I definitely recommend for people to see this movie. It's worth it!!!

One weird movie
29 August 2006
Six Ways to Sunday is definitely one of the weirdest movies I have ever seen, but I loved it at the same time. Norman Reedus is one of my favorite actors so every movie he is in he does an amazing job. He played an 18 year old boy named Harry Odum, who is pretty much babied by his mother. Blondie, also known as Deborah Harry, did a great job as an over protective mother. I think my mom is over protective, but she doesn't even come close to how Deborah Harry's character is.

It's a dark comedy with some bloody scenes and if you can handle some awkward moments then rent it for sure. I only bought it for 4 bucks and I thought it was worth it.

One of my favorite movies of all time
27 August 2006
When you watch The Boondock Saints you have to have an open mind about it. It is one of my most favorite movies ever. I probably memorized most of the words. I was on the edge of my seat watching every second of it. It only has been becoming more popular recently and I'm glad to see that because it should have more recognition. Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus did a phenomenal job as two fraternal Irish brothers out to kill evil. William Dafoe also did an awesome job as an FBI agent. Everything about the movie was great to me from the beginning to the end. This movie is definitely worth a rent. You'll laugh, you'll get amped by the scenes, and love every minute of it like I did.
