Tomcats (2001)
Better Than American Pie!
18 April 2002
TOMCATS I thought was just another American pie nock off like Road Trip and other teenage comedies involving sex. This one does have a lot of things that copy American Pie. The first being the plot of the story making a pact. Only in this film it's not to get married and win $475,000. Another thing is Shannon Elisabeth from American Pie stars in the film (note she is not nude or foreign in this film). Tomcats After seeing the film several times in a row I realized that this was indeed as good or better than American Pie.

American Pie (1999)
A Flute And A Pie Make A Good Comibination!
25 November 2001
American Pie is a film that certain people would look at the film's cover and thing it is not worth to see, well, you're wrong. It has many laughs and some jokes where you have to pay attention to understand. The film opens with Jason Biggs (Jim) trying to masturbate (with a tube sock over his privates) while watching scrambled porn. His mother walks in to put clothes away and say good night. She personally thinks he's trying to watch illegal channels so Jim's Dad (that is what they have him listed as in the credits) comes in and says it is only coming in bad until he here' the man screaming "Smack my hairy a-- b----." He immediately rips the pillow off of his son's lap to find a tube sock over his privates. There are a couple more sick jokes in there like when Jim's date for the prom says to him to get his attention "At band camp I once stuck my flute up my p-----." He freaks out and she then says "Don't you think I know how to turn myself off. Now I'm getting antsy. Want to screw?" And a joke about semen in a beer and someone else drinking it. Also the Internet broadcast of a foreign exchange student in his room topless and masturbating. In a unique way it has something for everyone!

A Trip To Hell And Back!!!
20 October 2001
This compilation is a must have for any horror fan, young or old. Whoever selected which were the best scenes did a terrific job. The facts are extremely interesting. Who knew 20 seconds of footage could make a different in a rating puzzled me? The only disappointment they did not show the trailer to every boogeymen's scenes. Another cool thing is a brief biography of each boogeymen before their scene. My score **** out of *****.

The fish is wet but the humor is dry
24 June 2001
You have to enjoy dry humor to really get the benifet of the film. Bob Hoskins plays the main character Louis Aubinard who thinks he is the most unlucky person on the face of the earth. His whole life begins to change when his boss played by Michel Blanc threatens to fire him if he does not find an actor to be photographed as Jesus. After work he visits his friend Zalmen who is sick he asks Louis to do him a FAVOR. He asks him to go down to studio and pretend that he is him and do the sound affects for a film. After that he seea a fish market outside his friend's apartment building and sees a VERY BIG FISH and buys it for supper. The next morning he goes to the studio only to find out he is looping sound affects for a porno film. At the studio he works with a women by the name of Sybil played by Natasha Richardson. When going out to lunch with her she tells the him the story of her last job and a never smiling pianist who falls head over heals for her. She meets him because of a little rich girl who will give her a WATCH if she can get him to smile. And that is only the first 45 minutes of this very humorus film. It is a great film to watch on a rainy day.

You don't need a killer to get scared you just need your mind!
24 June 2001
This is the film that really shows all why Stephen King is the master of horror. The first part of the film (remember this was a TV miniseries) by far is the most exciting itself could have been made into its own movie because of part one's surprise ending. I think the most creepiest thing of all was how they all seemed to remember the promise they had all made but they had trouble remembering the experiences they shared together. Another creepy part of it was how they only remembered their first experience against IT. A great watch for fans of Stephen King and the horror film genre.
