Ratline (2011)
Surprisingly good
This movie was awesome!! Actual storyline and plot that keeps you guessing. Gore, graphic violence, nudity, likable characters that you root for, this movie has it all. I found myself completely engrossed in it the whole way through.
Emily haack was absolutely intense and brilliant in her role, the rest of the cast was actually really good as well. The special effects were excellent, gory and pretty realistic.
This is my favorite movie from Eric stanze, it is incredibly shocking and entertaining and its one i can watch over and over again!
Highly recommend this movie! Check it out if you are a fan of extreme independent cinema.
Sins of the Father (2022)
Spoilers ahead...
I was so mad by the end of this movie I have to write a review. Technically the movie is impressive for the low budget. A kid with ptsd and his mother go back to his recently deceased fathers house and all is not what it seems. CDcceceeeeeree But the kid being as narcissistic and ridiculous and him killing his mom and dad was just awful. It also never explains why he has ptsd. The movie would have been way better if Liam and Sarah burned Aidan at the stake or something. It started ao well and was creepy and held my interest and then the last half an hour just killed all the tension. If my kids ever acted nearly as bad as Aidan, I would have had him committed.
Garden Tool Massacre (1997)
He got a camcorder and said to his friends "let's make a movie!"
Home Made slasher flick made by a group of friends in the late nineties. The gore effects were decent considering the budget. The acting was pretty terrible but the music was good and it actually had some good jumps. It is good for what it is. Leave your expectations at the door and it's enjoyable enough. The director went on the make "the house on cuckoo lane" which is a great movie.
Basically a guy kills his wife for cheating and gets locked up. It's actually a pretty gross out murder sequence done on no budget but it was effective: then it jumps to years later where this tennager is living in the killers house when the killer escapes and is having a party that gets crashed by... you guessed it! The killer wearing a silly Halloween mask. It's all rather predictable but it's good in the budget they had.
Those Who Deserve to Die (2019)
The horrors of war
This movie had me in tears at the end... it is true to life of what happened in Afganistan, the violence and the terror prisoners of war went through.
The scene where the baby is killed is super brief and not so bad, while the ending is truly tragic. It is a good movie and the actor that plays the main bad/good guy is actually really good at portraying post traumatic stress disorder.
Three Tears on Bloodstained Flesh (2014)
Wow!!!
For a super low budget movie, this was amazing! The plot twists do not stop until the very end. It was not predictable and every time I thought I had it figured out another twist!
Highly recommended if you want an engrossing film with an actual plot, that was actually enthralling and the ending was a shock!
This is one of the best movies I've ever seen.
Ki-re-i? (2004)
Oh my god wow
So this movie was shockingly good... extremely suspenseful... so well done! It's also sad on a much deeper level then most movies I've seen. If you want to see something different I recommend this!!!
Savage Spirit (2006)
No one heard any screams?! Really?!
Entertaining low budget slasher flick with some fun characters and a decent plot. Only issue that I had was the first few deaths where there was a lot of screaming and in such a small group without loud music no one heard any screaming. Made no sense but otherwise it's a fun horror flick.
Visions of Suffering (2006)
Absolutely one of the best movies I've ever seen
Andrey Iskanov is one of my favorite directors, his films are his own, he has so much style and mostly it works. This is definitely scary, and it's hard not to get sucked into it. The effects are decent, the film itself is very creepy and dreamy, as it is ultimately about our nightmares filtering into reality when it's raining. The darkness and sadness of rain opens our souls up to our inner demons slipping into consciousness
Deadly Love (1987)
I love the song
Kinda stupid but sweet low budget late 80's cross between slasher film and sad tragedy. As other reviewers have pointed out the acting is not the greatest. But this movie sticks with you because of its charm, and the song will get stuck in your head I guarantee that :-)
Devil Snow (1991)
Super low budget slasher drug movie!!
I can't believe I'm the first person to review this.
This is a shot on video, low budget horror film that shows the dark side of drug addiction in a fairly realistic, extreme way.
A teenage girl is talked into trying crack for the first time and it changes her into a psychotic crack addicted killer. The acting is not as bad as one would think, and the drug scenes are pretty spot on. The low budget helps this movie by catching the grossness of the ghetto, by filmjj in no it in the ghetto. It looks like they pulled drug addicts off the streets and had them act In this.
The kills are gory but get repetitive, the crossing of slasher flick and drug addiction quite original in its time. I do recommend bug don't set expectations to
High
Tell Me Your Name (2018)
What happened to Shane????
Decent movie, with decent acting and a good plot, but also some big plot holes! Characters disappear with no explanation of what happened... but there are definitely some scary parts and it's suspenseful enough to keep your heart racing. It's a fun scary little flick, of course it's cliched and derivative of films like the exorcist, but I enjoyed it
Perseveration (2013)
Think you've seen it all?....,
Brutal movie about a baby ripped (literally) from the mother's womb, thrown into a garbage bag and taken to a evil priest who raises the baby locked in a cage and abused physically and (in one really shocking scene) sexually. Well child gets away and kills the priest only to live I. This bloody nasty church and he grows up to be... you guessed it, just as bad as the one who raised him. Sick, very gory but excellent special effects, and the second half is super intense. Recommended if you want to see how much you can stomach.
Torment (2017)
Wow.......
Is all I have to say... extreme on all levels, sexually graphic, extremely violent, almost non stop male nudity, and extreme perverseness, and yet my eyes were glued to the screen. I couldn't look away... too extreme for mainstream is right, but it was intense, suspenseful, and freaky. Well made, good music, good camera work, good performances. If you can stomach some nastiness this is a horror movie worth seeing
7 Down (2011)
short ultra low budget flick gets points for...
Making the characters slightly realistic as drug addicts and drunks and some funny comedic touches. The horror is minimal, this is obviously made by a group of friends when one of them bought a camcorder. This movie wasn't boring In it's 63 minute running time, recommended for slasher completists and that's it
Doll Syndrome (2014)
Something different
This film is a dark graphic and extreme film loaded down with explicit male nudity, some extremely tense scenes of violence, but overall is a kinda sad and you feel bad for the main character- the beginning is extremely intense with pictures depicting the torment of prisoners of war. I am a fan of extreme cinema so it didn't bother me but my friends watching with me needed me to turn it off. The film follows a man as he mentally slowly breaks down and becomes obsessed with a couple he sees everyday. What happens is horrific and I won't say anymore. If you like extreme cinema that has both male and female nudity, some violence and some sexuality, this is a good film.
Gimme an 'F' (1984)
They need to release this on Blu-ray uncut!!!
I was born two years before this was released... since I was 5 years old this movie has been my favorite I have seen it 3 dozen times!! I can recite the lines!!! It's cheesy and sweet and not sleazy, it's good wholesome hilariousness that makes you want to become a cheerleader, even for a five year old boy!!!! Lol I will be the first one buying this the second it finally makes it to blu Ray
