Thomas Haden Church With Long Hair...Woo-Hoo!
22 January 2003
Everybody is talking about Earl and Baby, but how about Killer?!?

Thomas Haden Church's haunting "I'LL KIIIIIIILL YOOOOOOOU!!!" is played many times throughout the movie! Plus, we see Thomas in flasbacks, we see his eyes in the rear-view mirror of a truck and finally during the gunfight, he's THERE!!!

Once potrayed as a dark character, suddenly he says in his normal wacky, ducelet, basso Thomas Haden Churchian voice- "...oh, heh-heh, gun!".

Thomas didn't have a heck of a lot of screen time, his character Killer is one to remember.

What's Up With The Color Saturation?
2 October 2002
This is a good film, but I do admit the people handling the film had major color saturation problems. All the colors in this movie look like they came out of my Crayola colored pencil box. Especially that aqua blue colored outfit that Jeffrey Jones wears in one scene... the colors in this movie drive my eyes nuts. Other then that, this is a great, funny movie. From the cake splattering against the windsheild of the Royal Flush truck to the 'Regular Guy Look' fashion show where they play the disco hit "It's Raining Men".

I almost always watch this movie when it's on Showtime or TMC. A great "There's nothing on TV!" movie.

Don't Overlook Thomas Haden Church in This One
13 September 2002
Thomas Haden Church has made a breakthrough playing the endearing character David. This is Mr. Church's first venture playing a gay character. Quite a stretch from the egotistical, womanizing men or sweet bafoons he usually plays. The last time I've seen him this serious was in One Night Stand as the creepy advertising boss, Don. I'm anticipating his directing debut Rolling Kansas, if he ever decides to release it limited to theaters then mass market on DVD (hopefully similar to the success off the popular anime film METROPOLIS). Thomas Haden Church has come a LONG way since the sweet, bumbling Lowell Mather and the scheming, sarcastic, cuddly jerk Ned Dorsey. All I have to say is: THOMAS HADEN CHURCH FOREVER!

Pulse (1988)
Funky Electricity Film
4 July 2002
I wonder why The Big Screen Savers Movie on TechTV hasn't picked this

film up yet! It's a cool tech thriller. I catch it on MoviePlex and HBO sometimes. It usually shows up when I'm

really, really, really bored. I'm glad it only comes on once in a while, because it would spoil the

thrill of the "evil" pulse electricity destroying a whole house. Then

the movie would become boring and repeated for me. I love the stop-motion animation of electricity destroying circuit

boards, but then again, I'm a tech fan. The light in the TV's cathrode

ray tube scanning over things like a deadly laser can prove to be quite

creepy. I actually think I can feel the metallic intense heat from the

electricity sometimes. Also, the score and the end credits are almost as fun as the movie

itself! (The background switches from circuit boards to city scapes on

Thomas Haden Church At His Best!
23 October 2001
This is one of the best movies I've seen starring Thomas Haden Church. This was after Wings and before Ned and Stacey. It's cool to see Mr. Church post-Lowell Mather and pre-Ned Dorsey. He was really working that sarcastic, moody and deadpan attitude into his acting. Roach is a believable jerk. His nickname fits him (Does he have a real name?). He IS a Roach, infesting a run-down motel, mistreating the ladies and being very, very dirty. It's too bad that he doesn't last very long in the movie. The plus is that Thomas Haden Church gets to wear a cool outfit (but doesn't he always?).

Ned and Stacey (1995–2017)
I Love Ned and Stacey!!!
28 June 2001
Ned and Stacey is my favorite show! There's nothing better then Ned, Stacey, Amanda and Eric to brighten up a dull day! Ned and Amanda are my favorite characters. I love their wit and sarcasm, especially when they argue over the muffin shop. Of course, my favorite episode is the now classic "Loganberry's Run" where Ned tries to introduce the bizarre loganberry muffin to the Amanda's Amuffins menu. Throughout the episode, he obsesses over the muffin and tries to convince Amanda to make it in every way he can. I'm very depressed over the fact that this show didn't last as long as it should have. Thomas Haden Church is an excellent actor, so excellent in fact that I have developed a crush on him. I love Ned Dorsey!

Wings (1990–1997)
Lowell Mather!
28 June 2001
I got hooked on the show "Wings" after watching many episodes of "Ned and Stacey". I became a big fan of Thomas Haden Church in the process. At the time I only thought he was Ned Dorsey until I came across "Wings" one day when I left the TV on USAM on the USA Network. It took me a second to figure out that it WAS Thomas Haden Church in the orange hat and coveralls. My first reaction was "Hey! It's Ned! What's he doing on here?".

After a while, I got very attached to the character of Lowell Mather. He was hilarious, dimwitted, slow, sweet, boyish and cute all at the same time. I think there should have been more episodes devoted to Lowell, but it wouldn't have happened because he's a 'secondary character'. Many obsessed "Wings" fans disagree with me on being a big fan of Lowell, saying I should like every character. Hey, some fan out there has to focus all the all the attention on the absent-minded mechanic and that fan is ME!

I think Thomas Haden Church did a great job as Lowell Mather and I actually cried at the end of the final episode he was in! Yes, I am a big fan of the character Lowell Mather and it isn't going to change anytime soon.
