Law & Order: Criminal Intent: One (2001)
F'in great
Fantastic debut for a great show.
The BEST spinoff of LAW ever...
American Horror Stories: Drive In (2021)
Great concept!
Loved it.
Grateful I can even see it in Canada; ANY program affiliated with Ryan Murphy is better than 95% of the stuff out there...
Rescue Me (2004)
New York Perfection
I love shows based in New York, it seems.
"Law & Order", "Sex & The City" and "Rescue Me"...3 of the greats. Cool thing, too...if you pay attention, you'll see numerous actors cross-acting and making appearances in all of 'em.
"Rescue Me" is eyeballs-glued-to-the-television kind of programming. I'm only on Season 3 and I'm tearfully grateful I have access to this show during Covid. It has it all - comedy, tragedy, love, sex, fantasy, addiction, revenge, and honesty.
I happen to find Denis Leary hilarious; the entire cast is just so perfect and they fit together beautifully. I empathize and CARE about these characters!
I'm writing this review to gush...not to convince anyone to watch it. But if you're shmart...you know what to do. FXNOW. Enjoy.
Purgatory (1988)
beefcake
I guess it's no-brainer as far as eye-candy goes (Tanya Roberts) but let's not forget Rufus Swart!!! I recall seeing this in 2006 (whilst pregnant) and actually getting out of bed to google Rufus. Gorgeous! Born in South Africa, he had a beautiful accent and was earnest and compelling to watch.
You can imagine my creeped-out-ness when I discovered he had died in real life - close to 10 years prior.
Anyway, upon finding that out, I went about attempting to buy up his catalogue. Not a great film, but being a fan of the ANGELS I thought I'd check it out. Worth it for Rufus alone...
