Baby Geniuses (1999)

Low ratings are bogus!

This movie does not deserve the low rating it is getting. It wasn't perfect, but it was really good. I haven't been through the ratings to see why, but I can only imagine that it must be something political. It is a fun story that talks about the intelligence children have before the "cross over" right around age 2 and become regular babies. Until then, they carry some universal knowledge. There is nothing about this film that could be worthy of the 2.5, or the bad reviews. Watch it for yourself and you be the judge. I have never seen a movie with this many major actors that received a rating thos low. I loved it!

Edit: I started noticing consistencies in the low ratings. They came in in batches and contain a lot of the same dialog. Either they are bots, or some coordinated effort. Who knows why, but if they dont like it, they can eat sh... diaper gravy!

Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021)

Loved it!

There were a few areas of the story that maybe could have been improved upon.

But despite that, it was very tastefully done! It was well worth the wait, unlike that sh*burger they tried to force down our throats in 2016. I do hope to see another sequel in this franchise staring this same cast. It was a very fitting sendoff for Harold Ramis, may he rest in peace.

They Live (1988)

Such an awesome film! A modern prediction.

I love this film. I have watched it an untold number of times over the years. I never dreamed I would be around long enough to be living it. This film is so incredibly accurate to what we are seeing today in this modern day Los Angeles, and in the world. Substitute the aliens for the current federal government, Gavin Newsome, and the party currently in power, and the events of today, reveal themselves to be a real-life "They Live". Meg Foster was so cute in her day. She looked like Kirstie Alley's doppelganger. By God those eyes! Keith David rocks! Roddy Piper gave an exceptional performance!

No Time to Die (2021)

This movie should never have been made! You don't take an iconic character the has entertained audiences for 60 years, and kill him off for the sake of political correctness. His character was emasculated, and left to die for nothing more than to satisfy the Me2 movement. Hollywood has gone too far! There is no denying that this film had plenty of action, however it doesn't justify what they did to the greatest spy that ever lived! They destroy his will to live by making sure he could never see his daughter, and her mother ever again.

Making "Q" gay! Really? I hope this movie fails! It is a slap in the face to all the Bond loyalists around the world. Star Wars was destroyed in the same manner for similar reasons. I am so sick of what Hollywood has become, and their desire to destroy all that we loved in favor of restarting these iconic movies and characters, in their new twisted image.

The Pizza Joint (2021)

Poorly written, poorly edited, and poorly directed. I like "B" movies so a low budget doesn't dissuade me much. Hell, I loved the Underground Comedy Movie made by Vince Offer, so I figured this movie should garner at least one laugh. Not so much as a giggle. I admit, my standards are pretty low, but this was bottom of the barrel bad. The only thing laughable was trying to figure out how much money they wasted on this project. It looks like it was filmed with a cell phone by a YouTuber. That's an hour and a half I'll never get back. This movie sucks horribly.

This movie is to Ghostbusters (1984) what 'Airplane!' Was to 'Zero Hour'. A parody, a spoof, a funny fake. Take it for what it is, because it is no Ghostbusters.

Harrison Ford is a mediocre actor. This film made poor use of that mediocrity. It was horribly cast and represents many of the reasons hollywood is going down hill fast. The screenplay should have been trashed before it ever saw the light of day.

The political correctness destroyed how good this film could have been. Recycled humor, and bad comedy. There some funny moments, but overall, they should have left it alone.

Jack and the Beanstalk (1974)

Thia is by far the greatest version of Jack and the Beanstalk I have ever seen. I watched it several times as a kid on HBO, and spent many years looking for it. When I finally found it, watched it countless times over the years. My daughter loves it!

The one and only Karate Kid, Daniel LaRusso, was studying Japanese Karate from Mr. Miyagi, a Japanese sensei. Dre Parker was studying Chinese Kung Fu from Mr. Han, a Chinese sensei. Jaden's lack of acting talent not only destroyed the character, but made for a very disappointing movie. I can't believe the great Jackie Chan agreed to do this. This schlock isn't worth the time it takes to watch it.

I can't believe they had the first lady talk about how they cared about veterans and their families. Their administration demonstrated anything but. This episode could have been a lot better if they had stuck to professional actors. Her sad lack of acting experience, and her thirst for the limelight, destroyed the essence of this episode.

I spent many nights at the Lowes Nickelodeon for the midnight showing of Rocky Horror. This is the worst remake I have ever seen! Leave it to today's generation to butcher and destroy an iconic American film.

I have loved this movie since I was a teen. I had a crush on Miss Tri-County in those days. I have scoured the internet for information on this actress, and have come up empty. She would have to be in her 60s by now, but I've always been curious.

Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector (2006)

Don't pay attention to the star rating. This is actually a funny movie. It is being downplayed by the politically correct. Notice how all the bad reviews say, "I'm a big Larry fan, but..." If they were truly big Larry fan, they would love this movie because he is doing exactly what people love him for! Larry did a great job! I recommend it 100%! Watch it. It will not disappoint.

The story was a little off, but overall, I thought it was good. I love the nostalgic scenes taken from the original. They were very tastefully recreated. I love the cameo from Ronny Cox!

The Wizard of Oz (1939)

Wizard of Oz is a remake?

I was very disappointed to find out that the original Wizard of Oz was filmed in 1925. Thereby revealing this film was not only a remake, but the story line had been altered. Uncle Henry was supposed to be a bad guy. Dorothy was supposed to be a princess, and originally from Oz. After watching the original, it takes away from the 1939 remake. Has anyone ever seen the all black-and-white 1939 version? I remember watching this movie as a teenager. I spent time trying to track down the munchkin that supposedly hung himself on set, and other urban legends. The worst part was the movie being released on DVD, for those that wanted to believe the legends were true. It revealed that not only were these legends false, but brought out other flaws in the film. I would like to see the original film receive at least some credit.

Selena (1997)

Selena was not all that to begin with. I lived in the same neighborhood she did. I didn't know her personally, but heard enough about her to dislike her. When she died, I didn't much care. She was treated like a goddess here. Murels, paintings, renaming of the convention center, etc. Enough is enough. Her music was mediocre at best. Her dad was twice the ass he was portrayed in this movie. He was a selfish man who cared about no one but himself. His daughter died, and he used the opportunity to make an extra buck. This movie sucked, and was misleading as to the true nature of the incident and circumstances surrounding it.

Revelation (1999)

I thought it was a great movie. The idea may have been far fetched, but it was made to send a message. It was not made for the sole purpose of entertainment. Jeff Fahey played the roll well, and Carol Alt was definitely gorgeous. I have to admit that Nick Mancuso was my favorite for the part he played towards the end of the film. The way the world will end will be debated till the end of time. If this movie touched even one person, then it was worth what it cost. I'm sure the creators would agree. I know it was effective for what it was made to accomplish. Using big name actors such as Fahey gave it the push it needed to reach a larger segment of the population. I would like to see more movies like this.

Ghost Ship (2002)

Very exciting!

The special effects were nothing short of just plain awesome! The movie had an excellent story line, and an excellent cast of actors. Francesca Rettondini was beautiful! For her first American film, she filled the role well. The choice of Italian actors was great. There many of the outlines were definitely original. It keeps you on the edge of your seat! I will definitely be seeing this one a few more times at the theater before I buy it on DVD! This one gets a 10!!!!!

Death Ship (1980)

The people that have rated this film low are trying to compare it to a full budget film. Don't let the ratings fool you. I give this one a whole bunch of thumbs up. This is an excellent movie. The story line will keep you on the edge of your seat.
