Turning Point: The Bomb and the Cold War: The Sun Came Up Tremendous (2024)
Biased and out-of-touch
This entire episode is one-sided and biased, and only looks at things through hindsight and standards of today, rather than the standards of the WW II era and the sentiments and technology they had at the time. Leslie MM Blume is a complete moron and she should never be let on any other show to give an opinion or statement for anything. She is completely out of touch with reality and just a whiney dummy that obviously doesn't possess discernment for what would have been needed/called for by the country during WW II. She is just a self-righteous windbag that thinks she's better than everyone else. Hoping the rest of the show gets better, not a very good start so far.
Fargo: The Tiger (2023)
Terribly written episode
I agree with many of the other reviews written for this episode, this was a terribly written episode. Another spoonful of misandry forced down viewers throats... again. It's just so damn thick anymore, it's getting to be ridiculous. The writers/directors should just come out and say it already, all women are awesome, all men suck and it's every man's fault in the world for all the problems in the world, oh, and women are better than men at everything, even when they have no formal fight training and are half the size of almost every man attacking her (i.e. Dot). Common logic just alludes this episode at every turn. That is a sign of very weak writing and a cop out. The first season had so much wit and complexity in the writing and characters, and there was reality in the limits of what the characters capabilities were. It was such a great season. This season has been definitely hit and miss, with this episode being a terrible miss. I don't think this show can ever be as good as the first season was, and if they keep coming out with dribble such as this episode, it never will be either.
Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty: The New World (2023)
Terrible episode
This is either the worst or one of the worst episodes I've seen for this show. Complete garbage, with the worst of it being the directing done for the episode. Never have this director back on the show, they don't know what they are doing! Such unrealistic segments throughout the entire episode, unnatural reactions given by the characters, settings for moments in the episode that are obviously forced and scripted for affect, rather than being organic and genuine, which would have given a much better product than the garbage this episode displayed. It's pretty obvious this director knows nothing about basketball or competitive sports. This episode was just entirely too fake for any type of real enjoyment to be derived from it. Way too superficial, inauthentic, and devoid of any type of detail or common sense.
Hit and Run (2012)
More like hit and miss
There are good parts and bad parts to this movie.
Bad parts: Kristin Bell is the worst part of the movie. Her character is annoying, self-righteous, airheaded, not realistic and doesn't comprehend the situation she was in or what Dax's character had given up for her by taking her to LA. The movie would have been better without her. Another bad part, where the hell are all the police officers at? With all the action going on, you'd think there'd be more of a presence than just one random officer responding and it would be more than a single sheriff's car for one scene. Also, did anyone ever think "hey, Bradley Cooper's character is an ex-con, what's the easiest way to legally get an ex-con out of the picture?" All someone had to do was call the cops and he would have been arrested and returned to prison, which would have prevented a car chase, a kidnapping, or shootout. The writers could have addressed this better.
Good parts: the cars and chase scenes! The cars were great and chase scenes were fun to watch. Dax's character and Bradley Cooper's character were good, entertaining, and had a funny rapport. There was some pretty good comedic relief and jokes, and it was good to see Tom Arnold in movies again.
All-in-all, it was an alright movie, but def could have been better.
Our Planet: Freedom to Roam (2023)
Hunting is not bad!
Despite what Netflix is trying to erroneously say and what is blatantly biased in its representation in this episode, responsible hunting and conservation is a bedrock and cornerstone of maintaining healthy populations of animals and preserving animals for future generations as well. The hunting of snow geese and other non-vulnerable animals is a GOOD thing!!! This helps ecology and prevents population burdens from being formed, not to mention offers an alternative food source for more sustainability of other animals. To have Netflix put hunting in a bad light or represent it negatively is blatantly irresponsible of them and just plain false! They should be ashamed of themselves and I sincerely hope that they lose memberships because of it. That's the only way these corporations listen, is by the almighty dollar, rather than them just having integrity and representing things accurately!
Succession: With Open Eyes (2023)
Ruined a great show with the last episode
Stupid! The whole twist at the end was moronic and not realistic! I don't understand why HBO continues to think it's a good idea to ruin their great shows with terrible endings! This was an awful ending! There were a million different ways they could have gone with the ending, and yet they chose a moronic one. Shiv is a dumbass with the choices she has made. There is no cutting around it, this was not done well. HBO really needs to do better if they're expecting to retain people for subscription, right now I currently feel like canceling my subscription after that garbage that was force fed to us.
Bodies Bodies Bodies (2022)
TERRIBLE MOVIE!
That is quite possibly the worst movie I've ever seen. That's an hour and a half I'll never get back. I am literally dumber from having watched that movie. Storyline was terrible and devoid of common sense or logic. The directing of this movie was atrocious, and you can tell this director has never done anything worth while in their life for movies, and most likely never will. Another A24 dud. No character development, no redeemable qualities of characters, not to mention the virtue signaling detracted from any hope of there ever being anything positive associated with this movie. Save your money and time, avoid this movie like the plague.
