This is a must watch
26 November 2022
I may only be 26 years old but even I know the cultural impact that the Urban Cowboy Movement. By 1980 Country Music was considered stale & uncool. Mickey Gilley & Johnny Lee single handedly changed the course of history with the soundtrack of the Urban Cowboy film. The soundtrack went triple platinum & produced multiple hit singles, all of which were on rotate at Country radio. This documentary shares the story of how the film came to fruition, the history between MG & Sherwood Cryer, & the aftermath of it. Without the Urban Cowboy movie who knows where Country Music would be today. We as fans owe everything to Mickey Gilley, Johnny Lee, & Sherwood Cryer.

Selena: The Series (2020–2021)

Enjoyable, But Falls Flat
16 March 2022
I thoroughly enjoyed this 2 part series. However enjoying it doesn't excuse how mediocre it truly is. This series suffers from so much. For one obvious low budget. Telling the story of Selena there should be a proper budget in place for at least a fan to blow the cast members hair during driving scenes instead of their clothes and hair remaining perfectly still when they are driving down a highway in a drop top. Problem two is there is nothing new to this story. Everything fans already know about Selena's story is just dusted off from the 1997 film and retold. Sure a few new details are added such as Los Dinos receiving Gold & Platinum records but underneath it all there is no heart in this storytelling or pacing. Problem three(perhaps the biggest issue) is this retelling feels artificial. Like a Lifetime/Hallmark version of Selena & the Quintanilla family. This isn't the genuine story of Selena Quintanilla-Perez, this is the version Abraham and the Quintanilla family want us to see. Problem four is the lack of involvement from Chris Perez and the horrendous portrayal of his and Selena's relationship. Let's face it their relationship is one of the biggest things we rooted for in the 1997 film, here in the Netflix series it doesn't come off as a relationship I want to be interested or invested in. There was no on screen chemistry between Christian Serratos and Mr. Posey, they are both competent actors but chemistry between actors is very important. (Like Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon in *Walk The Line*.) This series would have us believing Selena and Chris had many disagreements and fought often, even going so far as to insinuate Abraham was the saving grace behind their marriage during a documented rocky period when the two were heavily overworked. What we, the audience need and deserve is a telling of the Selena Quintanilla-Perez story as told from the point of view of Chris Perez. His 2012 book *To Selena, With Love* deserved this series, not Abraham's fantasy version.

Highly Disappointing
8 March 2022
Coming from a lifelong Poison/Bret Michaels fan, this show is a let down in every sense of the word. Bret was fresh off game of Rock Of Love and Celebrity Apprentice and he was offered this show directly afterward. A Rock Of Love season 4 should've happened not this. Highly boring show, nothing interesting about money hungry Kristi Gibson, Bret's kids are adorable and Bret is as witty as ever in spite of his health conditions. Bret is the best thing about the show.

Reality TV Gets No Better!
8 March 2022
Featuring the lead singer of a band that has sold upwards of 50+ million albums, Poison's Bret Michaels. He sets out on a journey with his head of security Big John to find his true love once and for all(contrary to popular belief Bret was not in a relationship with the mother of his children Kristi Gibson during the 3 seasons of ROL) this show made stars out of Heather Chadwell, Lacey(Connor) Sculls, & Megan H. This is a highly addictive and easily rewatchable show. 10/10!

A Must-Watch
6 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Billy Ray Cyrus gives his best acting performance to date on Pax TV's *Doc*. The plot revolves around a Montana man named Clint Cassidy who upon falling in love with a newspaper writer who accepts a new job in New York City, follows her to the big apple. Clint is a Doctor who maintains his profession upon moving to NY along with maintaining the manners and respect taught to most old school southern boys. Doctor Cassidy's ways are often challenged as he always seems what's best for the patient instead of the HMO clinic he works for. Each episode features a life lesson you can genuinely learn and grow from. More shows like this is what tv is lacking nowadays.

A Brilliant Documentary About The Biggest Country Music Star Of The 90's
6 March 2022
Love him or hate him, Billy Ray Cyrus was a recording artist of monumental proportions in the early 90's. His 1992 debut album *Some Gave All* was certified Gold before it even hit the shelves for purchase. And in under a week it was certified Platinum. *Some Gave All* sold over 9 million copies in the first 12 months of release. That is more than any album released in any field of music(a record Cyrus still holds). This documentary features many artist who helped shape and mold his career early on like Dolly Parton. I highly recommend this special.

Almost A Perfect Film
6 March 2022
I remember watching this movie when it first debuted in 2014. The music is some of the best Country Music that was mainstream sound in 14'. I would rather hear these songs than anything that was on Country radio that year. The story is gripping, the cast perfection, with Joel Smallbone really shining through and veteran Billy Ray Cyrus giving one of the best acting performances since Pax TV's *Doc*. A great film about redemption. 10 out of 10.

Arguably Seagal's Best DTV Picture
16 April 2021
Here Seagal portrays an alcoholic ex cop humiliated by his past failure as a husband, father, cop, and struggles with alcoholism and a gambling addiction. Completely different than the usual Seagal vehicle. Highly enjoyable film.

Seagal and Wayans should have teamed up again
22 February 2021
This film would have been a much bigger hit than it was. Seagal was at the peak of his box office earnings and this film represented a side of his humor we hadn't had the chance to see much up to 1996.

Underrated Gem
4 February 2021
I will never understand the criticism this film recieves. Sure it doesn't feel like a proper *Saturday Night Fever* sequel however the material that is here Stallone put great effort into. And Travolta shines through as he always has as Tony Manero. I highly recommend.

The film that changed Country Music.
30 November 2020
Travolta's finest performance is evident in this film. Based upon the nightlife of Dew Westbrook who was a worker at an oil rig plant he drove 30 miles to work daily and met Betty the two based off of Bud and Sissy. Accompanied by a fine soundtrack of artists such as Johnny Lee, Mickey Gilley, Kenny Rogers & much more this is an incredible picture.
