Alguien tiene que morir (2020)
Very Hot and Very Good
I am halfway through and don't want to give anything away, but this is a real nail (and pillow) biter. Superbly acted and cast, this limited series has some twists in the plot that make it unique and very watchable. Also, the actor portraying a ballet dancer clearly is ballet royalty--his dancing is incredibly athletic and exhilarating to watch and I'm not even a ballet fan (maybe I am one now?).
Steel (2015)
Starts Slow But Gets Better
I think it's best to preface this movie by saying the dialogue is not very good and it starts kinda bad. But it gets much better and Chad Connell is hot enough that you could watch it with the sound off and it would still be worth watching.
He is actually quite good with the little dialogue he is given. I kept feeling like there is no way this super hot guy with a model face and body is going to get into it with a dude. But he does and his body is as beautiful as his face. I am here to tell you, I have yet to see a more attractive (and masculine) male lead in any gay love story. Let's just say the film is a 6 or 7 but Chad is a 10. Or an 11?
The music is way too loud and was mixed poorly, but it's pretty.
There is not a gay man alive who won't be thinking about him long after the movie ends.
Handsome Devil (2016)
A Fresh Take On A Coming Of Age Teen
You can't help but fall in love with the lead--Ned, as he goes through the common feelings of growing up knowing you are gay and not feeling accepted. Whether you love him like a son, a friend, or something more, you do LOVE this kid in some kind of way. This movie is better than most others like it.
The soundtrack is excellent and heightens every scene--truly a masterpiece. The acting and directing are all very fine as is the script.
My only disappointment is that there is no great love scene in this film. After wetting our appetite so skillfully and perfectly, there is no pay off. If there is a sequel that picks up where this leaves off, I will be first in line.
That said, it left me in tears and was a beautiful film. The ending just incomplete.
