Super fun, enjoyable
24 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Cute chemistry between the two female characters...refreshing to see the ex or current wife or mother in law is not the evil one...shows some real friendship, family bonding, ever changing children dynamics and some clean inspiring grit, devotion even....extraordinary performance by the entire cast...the kids too.

Sensible movie, yet light and entertaining
23 July 2022
Although an important message is conveyed, the film is not preachy types. Excellent casting, everybody's expressions are spot on. Excellent screenplay and direction.

Goes without saying that Baruccha has done some excellent work but pleasantly surprising was Anud Singh. Top notch acting from him, very casual and real. Just a single shot of sideways headturn itself is completely natural, credit where it's due- either director or he improvised..an excellent performance throughout.

Good story, good pace, easy going fun watch..

These stories may be nothing new but are sweet and entertaining. All actors have done a wonderful job. Lovely music and costumes are nice. A feel-good anthology not to be missed.

A completely failed direction
14 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Pathetic screenplay, not a strong plot to begin with, predictable even if haven't read the book but a shockingly bad direction ruined something which could be salvaged.

It's cringe from begining to end. Absolute waste of Mithun, Shruti and Sonalee's talents.

In spite of the threadbare direction the cast has done a great job. Gauhar and Dubey have done some excellent work, the single star is just for them.

Shruti Hassan is an outstanding actor but this direction has brought out the worst in her which is quite an achievement coz she's otherwise damn good. Her abla nari performance in the early episodes is pathetic, her true form is seen only in the last 20 mins but it's too late.

And for God's sake how much would it cost to get a medical consultant, the doctor scenes are terrible. Who's bakwaas idea was it about calling out episode names, no it doesn't work.

I feel bad for the cast that they now have this on their resume.

Not brilliant but sweet, homely, light-hearted
9 May 2022
It's a nice, simple, easy-going series showing a middle-class family's trials of building their modest home. Everyday casual situations between a close knit family portrayed well..two things that stand out for me is the way they show the slowly strengthening of family bonds, how their relationship matures and the excellent performance by the young adults..so its not just the 2 stalwarts carrying the shown on their own. Anything to do with Nidhi Bisht and Biswapati Sarkar can never fail to entertain. Don't miss it.

Great story, excellent casting
9 May 2022
An intriguing whodunnit skillfully takes an unexpected turn, mind-blowing! Casting very thoughtfully done, wonderful performance by the entire cast. One could argue that the makers played it diplomatic, could have been more bold and taken a stand, but that's the whole point. Watch it, it's an experience that'll make you learn more about yourself.

Heart-touching, sensitive, pure stories, great screenplay and direction and of course a casting success...everybody, without exception, have performed brilliantly. My personal favs are the 2 versions of Ananth, Vinothini rocks as always..a most definite must watch.

Fairly good psychological thriller
7 May 2022
Will admit was kind of uninteresting initially but stick to it for the acting..then the story proceeds nicely. Good screenplay. A decent watch, not bad as popularly described here.

Just coz of Sakshi & calling it Mai doesn't make it good
22 April 2022
The additional star is just for the unexpected plot twist in the last episode. Even if one ignores the average story and extremely slow pace, what's most terrible is the COMPLETELY BLANK EXPRESSIONLESS FACES of the entire cast from start to finish. Even the lead, any life situation, from her daughter being run over to a huge betrayal evokes the same empty look. Thank God for Wamiqa and Prashant Narayan or else everybody could just be bots.

Sorry to all those reviewers who warned against watching this. Should have trusted you. A frustrating, disappointing, colossal waste of time.

Excellent work by the two female leads
17 April 2022
Fairly good story & direction, although has a few segments where the plot could have sped up but the lag is bearable, Abhisek was good however clearly overshadowed by Nimrat and Yami, outstanding performance by them both. Overall an entertaining film.

Warning: Spoilers
Haven't read the book but this movie's one hell of a screenplay. Plot keeps you hooked till the end. Fabulous work by entire cast and excellent direction. A not-to-be-missed subtle yet powerful spy-espionage film.

Now about the underlying premise, the politics of war, hatred, revenge, justice... it's leaves you frustrated, helpless. We all know the unfairness but that doesn't lessen the pain.

Touching, sensitive film
4 April 2022
Personal burdens, baggage, grief, pain, acceptance all sensitive emotions are beautifully portrayed. Story unveils slowly and in the end all pieces come together perfectly. Very interesting, tender work yet not overtly emotional. An excellent piece of work.

If not for anything else watch it for Anupam Kher's performance
24 March 2022
Outstanding work by the entire team, Anupam Kher's performance is beyond words..and the boy who acted as Shiv....can't imagine how they prepped for it, if it's so painful to watch must have been way worse to emote, the entire cast deserves a huge applause...let alone everything else if possible, just watch it for their acting.

Worthless
21 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Having top-notch actors doesn't make any crap watchable. Terribly boring, even though it's a copycat of a bbc English series, it feels nothing like it. A shoddy direction is to blame. Maya Alagh and Satish Kaushik, such stellar performers, if trying to get sinister vibes from them ends up making viewers bored out of their minds or just plain cringe, then you know your direction has got rock bottom.

Even Ahlawat, Jitendra Joshi and Ayyub can't save pathetic writing, screenplay and direction. Tina Desai's work is noteworthy. Viewers, do yourselves a favor and stay away. This is one excruciating work.

Volatile, Nail-biting, melange of emotions
18 March 2022
It's like they threw us a challenge, we've got Shah & Balan, try giving a bad review. Excellent screenplay, good editing that keeps one at the edge of the seat, wanting, yet not wanting to see what happens next. The essense of the work is Shefali Shah and Vidya Balan make us experience a complete range of emotions through their outstanding performance. Although comparatively less screentime, each character of the rest of the cast leave their mark and presence felt, the cop, reporter and most definitely special mention to Rohini Hattangadi...a definite mustwatch.

Good intention poor execution

Why this sitting on the fence way, too afraid to take a stand to offend a particular group..yes the law is such and this is not an activism portal but still everything is all over the place...movie gets away with being 'good' only because of performance of actors playing the 2 couples...watch it for them.

Scary, great acting
19 February 2022
Unoriginal plot made great by outstanding performances by the entire cast. Facial expressions, tremors, fear felt by the mother-son is gripping. Bgm complements the emotions perfectly.. although at the start it feels slow-paced, I'd highly recommend sticking to it, it's worth the patience.

Enjoyable, light, breezy kinda watch. Ok the storyline is predictable but Cox is pure delight to watch. Dear makers, please don't stop at this, hope it turns to a series or more movies. Love to watch this sassy detective at work.

Intense and Thrilling...brilliant writing
14 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Outstanding work by Deepika Padukone, she's portrayed all the shades of her complex role beautifully, carries a strong script squarely on her shoulders..Shah & Kapoor in their small roles clearly a cut above..very good screenplay. Also a shoutout to the one who made the trailer, making us think this is another sleazy work glamourizing betrayal..almost skipped this dark, emotionally charged unpausable work.

Why waste such talented cast without even a shred of a decent plot..such a talented filmaker couldn't come up with an at least average story...complete waste of time...shameful endeavour.

Loved it all along, great writing, fascinating turn of events, but the last episode felt like the plot betrayed me..sort of all over the place, fumbling..yes I understand genius of creativity etc etc but felt let down, cheated...don't understand why it felt so personal, guess expected too much.
