Not bad, but...
17 June 2006
This just played on cartoon network and it was actually pretty good; neat little ending too. It played much like a two-part episode, but the one thing that seemed, not necessarily bad, just not very good were the voices of Lex and Brainiac. I'm not sure if Clancy Brown wasn't available for Lex, they just want'ed bigger names with Powers Boothe and Lance Henriksen, etc, but I think the essence of what Clancy brings to the character was lacking after all the times he's played the character almost to perfection. Powers Boothe came off more comical and just wrong for the part that I cringed a few times when the character Lex was joking around, but hey I'm just glad they keep making them and nice to see Tim Daly and Dana Delany in their roles. :D

Decent for what it was
10 June 2006
Just watched the Tom Jane version last night and heard rumors of a Punisher 2. I was quite surprised by how decent the Tom Jane version was, yeah some things could have been different as we all complain about this or that, but overall pretty damn good.

While looking up Punisher 2 I came across this beauty. Seems their is a bit of people saying yeah and others saying nay, but for a picture that comes across as, more or less a fan film, this is actually well done. I think people that are arguing it's quality fail to notice a few things and try to look at it as if this was something in the movies or tries to beat out the Tom Jane version instead of a stand alone film for what it is.

It has a nice intro with the comic being used to give a nice set-up for those that have half a clue who Frank Castle is. Yes, the quality is pretty much porno-like with the acting and so on, but still it can be overlooked. One complaint is he talks to much, to which we really only hear his thoughts, very sin city like and not so bad to keep you involved with what is taking place. While the body suit he wears is another person's gripe it isn't exactly the worse in the sense of costume's in the media when you compare it to something like Daredevil's costume in the Trial of the Incredible Hulk to name at least one.

For what it is I give it thumbs up.

sad to see people not seeing a goofy classic
22 July 2004
Growing up it was Andy and Three's company and so on that had campy humor. It was the same case that was "funny" for the slap stick type of humor of what was considered funny "in the 70's and 80's" and so on for other TV shows for their time. In my opinion watching this movie reflecting back to the time it was and remembering it as kid to now was just great. The humor that made me smile was nice and made me think back to the days when i watched those shows, as i often do on nick at night, to laugh as I did then and still do even on reruns. Tim Conway and Don Knotts do a great job of muddling thru trying to solve a mystery with a great supporting cast.

ten fold the first

I thought this movie was far beyond the original with a far more intriguing plot and the usage of various individual's powers. It really was far beyond what I would have expected and most diffently look forward to seeing to the 3rd one to sorta brings things more full circle from where it ended.
