Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch (2021)
I Wanna See More
I wanna see more. I kind of look at Blind Frog Ranch as a companion show to Skin Walker Ranch. You gotta admit that there have been some crazy strange stuff going on at that place. I want them to find the gold but the journey to getting there has been interesting. Some of the videos have been downright scarey like the one where the trespasser is bent almost in half like the girl in the Exorcist movie and the mysterious disppearances that been happening in the area. Don't cut the show off just as there's a possibility these guys might actually.be close to finding something. The history surrounding the ranch property only adds to the high strangeness of the quest for the gold. Good luck guys!
M.A.D.D.: Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (1983)
Well Worth Watching
I felt that Mariette Hartley and Paula Prentice both gave excellent performances in this movie about Candy Litner's struggle to make sure that her daughter Cari's life counted. Hartley does a great job of showing the depth of Litner's grief and her perserverance in trying to get legislators to understand her loss. The film powerfully portrays the difficulty Litner faced to ensure that this did not happen to anyone elses child. The film does a great job in showing how hard it its not to fall into the pitfall of drowning your grief in booze. Hartley also did a great job showing how Litner almost destroyed her relationship with her surviving daughter in her crusade to avenge Cari's death. The story should be told as an example of the power of citizens to make changes that can impact our country in positive ways. MADD has saved thousands of lives. We owe Litner a great debt.
One Lane Bridge (2020)
A New Zealand 'Twin Peaks'
I'm enjoying this New Zealand drama. I'm watching it on Acorn. I live in the Midwestern US now but I lived 9 years in the Seattle Washington area. The mountain scenery and the mysterious vibe of the story remind me of the 1990s TV drama, Twin Peaks created by David Lynch. I can relate to the life situations of the characters like coping with elderly parents in poor health, the dying family farm and family members in trouble with drugs and booze. I like the way the drama has woven contemporary issues like homophobia and racism into the plot. Too bad they couldn't put the 'log lady' into the story.
Murder House Flip (2020)
This Is The World We Live In
Given the way we sensationalize murders today, are you surprised that this series exists? These folks are providing a fantastic service. They are helping to remove some of the psychological trauma from living in homes where murder has occurred. I hope they spawn a whole industry. Many people weren't told about the event before they moved in. Some didn't find out until closing on the home.
