Very good first season, season 2 can be better.

Quite a 'unique' world filled with heroes, villains and all in between. I would have loved season 1 to span a few more episodes to enjoy it a bit 'slower'. Happy that I took the chance with this, episode 2 is when it won me over.

Great storytelling

An ordinary setup becomes a 'guateque' of visual delight. Lee Pace is, as usual, fantastic in the role of a person in a really bad place at the moment.

He is 'saved' by an adorable immigrant little girl and carried on by the very good writing and stunning art direction.

Some shame on me for watching it 15 years later of it's premiere.

Pairs great with wine.

A raw portrait of the struggles some among us face
13 May 2021
Raw is good, specially when it's told as masterfully as in this little gem. The 'choice' in snippets of conversations builds up to a contemporary portrait of the one and only truth that if we are to mend our brokenness only another human (and art) will make it happen.

Endure extreme discomfort for 2 seasons. It gets 'watchable' by 03x01. Season 4 is a delight

Title is the recipe I tell my friends who can't finish season 1. I feel them as it's been one of the most extreme stories I've been exposed to. The darkest 'moment' in Leftovers is a walk in the park by comparison.

The premise/core of the story is extraordinary, some very interesting cast choices elevates it but to me art direction & music is what wraps everything in a 'divine' halo.

I'm on 04x05, a hug to all involved in creating this show. On the Top 10 ever list.

When this 'indie' movie stole my heart. Nice cast and script delivers plus some epic/hilarious moments here and there.

I'd recommend for a summer movie night with friends and food and wine.

Top 5 ever

You gotta love a show that spans a couple of decades and takes you on a ride where you see broken humans trying to heal and evolve.

The historic context is very cool, the writing is smooth and art direction at times dances with the gods.

What makes HCF one of the best ever is in my opinion the powerful female characters, their performance and storyline are just exquisite. I'd recommend watch it with your fav person as it will spark many nice conversations.

Great episode finale as well.

Thank you to everyone involved in creating this truly special show. Respect.

As some say above life is messy and humans are flawed. I never rooted for any of the characters yet the writing is so good and smooth that it takes you into a ride of human emotions and spontaneous smiles. Imho is one of those tv series that is best to view alone so you can reflect without hiding the 'shame' of seeing glimpses of yourself in these bunch of broken humans.

The fact that 4 seasons span almost a decade of their lives makes the personal journey more 'real/believable', most of my fav series (those that would get a 9 or 10 from me) usually have this pattern so I might be a bit biased on this.

Overall a solid win, specially as a single person struggling to date in the year 2 of a pandemic It's been nice be able to laugh my misery out loud.
