I absolutely LOVED The Simpsons for 33 seasons, but something has changed and it's nearly intolerable. I started noticing the weirdness in season 34, when Ned Flanders voice changed. It may seem like a minuscule change but it really did change his entire character. Starting in season 34, his voice was noticeably deeper and almost robotic. The new voice doesn't fit the character. In season 35, the characters' voices and the writing just became awful. EVERY SINGLE EPISODE is now a musical. Why?! Is someone encouraging this? In my opinion, it's so annoying. I don't know if this misguided addition of a song in every episode is here to stay or not, but if it is, I'm done with a series that I've enjoyed for 30 years. Also, what is up with Mr. Burns' voice? It sounds NOTHING like is has for the duration of the series. I don't know...I'm pretty sure I'm done. I just CANNOT listen to this music in every episode.

I am currently streaming NYU on Peacock and this show is EXCELLENT. I'm not sure who or why they inexplicably destroyed this show by killing Det. Torres and adding McNamara, and then axing Lt. Cooper. It appears that it intentionally harsh...they way they killed off Torres. I only watched like 2 episodes of season 4., and I guess everybody else agreed that season 4 was awful since there are only 13 episodes 😂. I've read that this show was the number one show in Black & Hispanic households and I believe it! The show had action, strained relationships, a dysfunctional family...it has it all. I don't think a reboot could recapture this magic.
