Entourage: One Day in the Valley (2006)
Best ep PERIOD
This is the best episode out of all the seasons. Almost Famous or not. All works of art are inspired from previous works. Tarantino does it all the time and admits it. Nobody else does but it's totally true. Getting back to this episode. The blackout, the heat, the house party. It was all great. The nerd says at the end "Were gonna hang in my basement!" That is classic man. Im telling you. Classic Drama all episode, with the hydration, typical Vince buying everybody everything and the way they got all got hammered at the end at the party. It was so real. I love Vince giving away his car at the end. Its an awesome way to kick start season 2. And if you did love this episode like myself, watch the DVD bonus. There is a commentary on it. It's great. They cover some cool stuff. Check it out! Another top episode of mine was the U2 concert. When Bono mentions Drama at the end, thats awesome.
Very Bad Things (1998)
Wasn't crazy about this movie.
When a friend recommended this movie to me, I thought for sure it was going to be along the lines of "Head Above Water", one of my favorite movies, but it fell short in a big way. I found it to be very very unrealistic and totally not believable. Now, while other movies are unrealistic they can still be believable. They make sense. For instance, Cameron Diaz at the end bashes in Slater. To me, they just throw in all these scenes to make the the audience go WOW and WOW, but they are uncalled for. Its almost spoofy in the way things happen and the way they just come up. For instance, in the end scene, when we see the 2 guys after the accident in wheel chairs and the dog with a missing leg, to me, a scene like that belongs in a Wayons Brothers movie. I think if this movie had a better rewrite and a more polished director, it could have been excellent, because the story is there and so is the humor. It had very good humor. It was a black comedy turned into a spoofy comedy. Almost like the director didn't want to commit to any one genre. And that is one of the major things wrong. "Suicide Kings" a serious movie with great humor was awesome and believable. The characters didn't just start killing each other to shock the audience. Everything was laid out in the way it was supposed to be. I didn't hate the movie but I feel it could have been a lot better had the movie been planned better in preproduction.
Puppies for Sale (1998)
Great short. Very touching.
This is a great film. I first saw it on Atomfilms.com, and I'm actually trying to locate it right now to buy. It teaches us A VERY IMPORTANT lesson in life. One of the greatest shorts, iv'e ever seen. And Jack Lemmon was a great actor, and it was great to see him in such a moving film. But the best thing about it was the writing. I always said, the most important part of making a movie is the story. While each part of the production is important, I feel the writing is the most important. Thats like the foundation of a house. And "Puppies For Sale" was a great story despite it being short. Another great thing about this film was that there were only 2 people in it. For a movie to have a small cast, there must be some really good writing involved in order to keep the attention of the viewers. If you have not seen this short,I highly recommend you to see it whenever you can. I saw this movie a few years ago online, and never forgot it!
Road Trip (2000)
Road Trip is soo good that you get depressed when its over!
This movie is way better then American Pie.. I saw American Pie at home. From when it was released in theaters until I saw it, I heard nothing but raves about how good it was... When I watched it, I said to myself, "Are you kiddn me? Am I missing something? Cuz I forgot to laugh" There was nothing but dull moments the whole movie. Road Trip on the other hand is the movie that had characters that you remember and want more of. So many times, I would see a friend wearing a wacky shirt or crazy outfit and I would say, "Thats an E.L. outfit" I kid you not. The characters Josh Rueben and Kyle were incredible. I seen that movie so many times. I studied it. Im constantly checking up to see if theres a part 2 in the works. I have the screenplay, other promotional stuff from the movie. Id really devalue any comment boasting "Pie" and bashing "Road Trip"
