Maamla Legal Hai (2024)
Absolute brilliance!!
Such a brilliant, refreshing hindi series with 100% satisfaction, feel good quality!!
Totally made my Sunday so much more beautiful
Hats off to Ravi Kishan for sheer briliance in acting and performance. Each. Character contributed equally to satirical court comedy.
Cherry on the top was references from true incidents.
Such a fantastic work from the team, bollywood should take inspiration from such great content.
Thank you Netflix india for bringing such refreshing content.
Such a stress reliever, light hearted content, greatly appreciate the team.
Please Please make season 2, much awaited!!!
Salaar: Cease Fire - Part 1 (2023)
Masterpiece!!
Salaar is a thrilling experience to the core!!
Yet another masterpiece by Prashant Neel.
So many layers to the characters with unpredictable twists throughout the storyline.
Prabhas is very apt for the character and well deserved comeback.
Very well shot with complementary background score.
This movie deserved much more love and attention, just bad timing for release.
The experience is nothing short of high budgeted foreign film.
Not sure of the negative reviews, I guess people don't appreciate the incredible hard work into making this masterpiece.
So looking forward to Part 2.
Thank you India for giving us genius like Prashant Neel.
Oppenheimer (2023)
Superlative performances, but most unlike previous Nolan films
Sheer brilliance exemplified by writers, actors, musicians and most importantly the director.
Unique storytelling with great execution.
What lacks the most is an abstract concept like previous Nolan films.
Story is pretty straightforward with too much drama added.
Drags in last hour quite a bit.
Sound design and music is exemplary and complements the narrative well, almost at par with Hans Zimmerman.
Best scenes were between Cillian Murphy and Matt Damon.
Nevertheless the dialogues and acting is impeccable worthy of all the awards this season.
May be next one will more abstract and mind bending from the great Mr Nolan.
Hi Nanna (2023)
Pure bliss
What a masterpiece!!
Outstanding story, screenplay, narration and performances esp little girl.
In the world of violent gory senseless junk presented by Bollywood throughout the year, this is such a breath of fresh air.
Please please keep up the outstanding work and make more masterpieces like these.
South Indian directors and story tellers are truly exceptional and know their craft very well.
It's a shame these masterpieces are under recognized and undervalued.
Mrunal Thakur is one of the best actors around with such good talent. Please keep doing good work.
In summary, if you have a heart and want to fill with pure bliss, don't miss this gem!!
Dunki (2023)
Disappointing
Raju Hirani films are so promising that they lure audiences blindly despite of any amount of disbelief shown by trailers or pre release hype. All primarily because of impeccable storytelling with great script and screenplay.
Dunki is so contrasting that it doesn't even seem like RHF. Excellent performances with great music and colors but all without a script and engaging storytelling. No connection with a single character.
Poor execution with even worse editing are the highlights of this movie.
Pretty sure Aamir would have or may have outright reject this mess.
Extremely disappointed with the team, hoping for a better movie next time.
Thunivu (2023)
Bad copy of money heist
When will these writers understand that it is no longer ok to copy from world cinema anymore. This is no longer 90s where no one watched anything other than regional cinema. No originality, majority of movie stolen from money heist series.
Additionally, poor dialogues and horrible vfx are cherry on the cake.
In the times when south cinema is making world news, there are always anomalies in every industry to take a shortcut.
Not worth a watch in theaters or Netflix.
Next time hire a original writer and do not waste such valuable talent like Ajith Sir.
Originality is tough and takes lot of effort.
Next time try harder.
Uunchai (2022)
Average
Very average and underwhelming, nice concept but disappointing overall. Screenplay and dialogues very weak, not as touching as other Raj Shri movies. Great cast and good music though. Suraj barjatiya used to be master of emotions and feel good movies but has long lost the same touch since vivah. The entire cast tried hard to save this movie but unfortunately without much success. This is at most suitable for one time watch on ott if you have too much time on hands, would skip it if better choices. Great cinematography and visuals, perhaps next time invest in good script writer and dialogue writer.
Brahmastra Part One: Shiva (2022)
Masterpiece
Went in with low expectations. Very pleasantly surprised by the beauty of art. Thank you Ayaan Mukerjee for such a brave attempt. Thoroughly enjoyed with family in IMAX 3d. Eagerly waiting for 2nd part. Go watch it without reading any reviews or news, you won't be disappointed. Great music, great chemistry, excellent visuals and extraordinary vfx. Kudos to the entire team for such hard work. Integrating Indian mythology was a master move. Loved all the cameos in the movie as well. Building a movie franchise with such grand vision is extremely difficult in a country like India where criticism follows you everyone. We as Indians should be proud and support such brave attempt rather than comparing.
K.G.F: Chapter 2 (2022)
Perfect sequel to a fantastic franchise!!
Truly one of the best movies I have watched with exemplary vision from Prasanth Neel and extraordinary BGM from Ravi Basur. Great screenplay with open ended climax. Excellent repeat value!!
