How I Met Your Mother: A Change of Heart (2011)
Season 6, Episode 18
1/10
i think this is the worst episode of the series
9 February 2015
Warning: Spoilers
In this episode, Barney gets turned off (or maybe in a previous one, he did) about Nora telling him right away that she wanted a serious relationship. Then Barney proceeds to lie about wanting one too but not correct his lie because he really wants Robin? Who cares? It's hard to focus with this one. Right from the start, "A Change of Heart" was just awful and unfunny at the same time. Nothing about this episode brought anything valuable to the story of the show. Nora is a terribly boring character that SOMEHOW makes Barney boring when she is around him. The love interests that they bring in to combat Barney aren't fun at all. Quinn was basically the same thing as Nora, minus an English accent. At least when Barney went to a strip club and Robin got upset about it, Barney just basically ignored it. Any Nora/Barney plot is pointless, dull and meaningless because they bring you back to Robin/Barney, which is another pointless stale story arc. Barney lies about lying? That's a new one. Kidding. Snooze.

The plot is just aimless to say the least. The worst part of the episode is when Robin gets a boyfriend and they treat him as if he were a dog. Lame. This episode has everything that can be added to the scrapheap of bad HIMYM gags such as Lily's unfunny "Yousonofab*tch" line, the pot smoking/sandwich euphemism, and Lily's boring doctor with the accent. But the dog part had to be the worst idea in the history of the show. How can anyone even crack a smile at this? What were the writers thinking? How on earth did this idea get a green light?

1 out of 10. Maybe even 0 out of 10 because there was no payoff. Sometimes episodes are pointless and add nothing to the plot but at least are funny. "A Change of Heart" was neither of the two. Worst episode of the entire series. Even over "Burning Bee Keeper" and "Slappointment"

Roseanne: Becky, Beds and Boys (1990)
Season 3, Episode 6
10/10
We meet Mark
6 February 2015
Warning: Spoilers
This episode is probably my favorite Roseanne episode, if not the top one then it is certainly in the top 3 of all time. I don't know why, but the uniqueness of this episode caught my attention when I saw this when I was a bit younger and didn't really have the care to watch Roseanne. I knew my mom and aunts were big fans of the show and knew very little about it, until I saw this episode.

The tension between Roseanne/Dan and Mark when Becky told him he had to come in to meet them was of an extreme degree. The scene was well done. Of course, this is who Becky winds up marrying, or should I say eloping? Put this with going shopping for a bed and I don't think you've ever had a more original episode of TV at this point in TV history. Just a whole different dynamic. The Connors get a new bed and Becky gets a new boyfriend. The thing that is cool about this episode is it doesn't make you feel like it aired 25 years ago if you were to watch it today. It still holds up.

Roseanne: Sweet Dreams (1989)
Season 2, Episode 8

Don't watch this episode
5 February 2015
Warning: Spoilers
If you are a first time Roseanne watcher. The episode is pointless and nothing about it is funny. Roseanne hosts an award show in her bathroom and it just becomes some wild stupid fantasy. Skip. I've only seen it once and that was 15 years ago. Mistake. I don't know what the producers were really thinking here and in 1989, it is still no excuse. Audiences weren't that dumb back then, were they?

It's sad to see a very bad episode this early on in the show, because when you get to season 9 the bullets start flying. I would just skip the entire last season and watch the last episode just to laugh at. This isn't THE worst episode, but it has to be one of them. Too bad we just can't include season 9 as one terrible episode.

Not really a fan of this one
29 January 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I'm not a fan, I guess you could say, of Ted's stories where he met a girlfriend that we know didn't become the mother for obvious reasons, and we all have our mistakes, but this one was silly.

I found each one of Ted's friends watching Maggie to become tiresome. It trickled from Lily & Marshall "watching her" to Robin and then Barney. As a college professor, Ted forgetting he had a class was kind of silly. Me personally, I don't care how hot a girl is but when she asked him if she wanted him to go to the class, and she answered with a snark-filled no, that would've been a major turnoff to me. Ted is an architect. If she couldn't go with him to cancel the class, then forget it.

None of the jokes were funny really in this one. Even barney with the overalls was kind of lame and the arc with The Maggie "I did become those things" was distressing. How is that supposed to be funny? As the show was running along, I was getting kind of irritated because this episode basically boiled down to Ted and that other guy fighting over the cute red head for 22 minutes so some other guy could win? Then they give their back story? Who cares?

Get out of here
10 January 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Again. How does an episode that is sprinkled with brilliance from beginning to end get this "low" of a rating? I understand there are classical episodes on the list and some great ones get left behind. But this? this? Again, I shake my head at the voters because how can either of the "Go God Go" episodes be above this? You don't have to enjoy Parker and Stone's take on Katrina and the like of response but a funny episode is a funny episode. There were numerous parts that make you laugh to this day. I remember in 2005 you knew that an episode like this was coming and they didn't disappoint. You know why? Because it is South Park. How many times do things live up to the hype? This episode proved so.

Just remember, you didn't have to care about Katrina/FEMA to find this one funny.

"Don't be a f*g " Crab people. Jew Gold. When Randy draws a cock on the map. I don't even have an uncle Roy! I broke the damn! Kyle's 4th guess was Cartman.

What the F?
9 January 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I can't believe this is so low on the list!!? This is REALLY the 25th lowest voted South Park? Apparently some people aren't fans of the NFL and just should give up on the show if they don't find this episode hysterical. I find it interesting that "Do The Handicapped Go to Hell?" and "Probably" and Ungroundable are ranked higher than Sarcastaball, and Lice Capades?! Now I really can't believe this. The episode was very creative, OK, so South Park episodes are always creative but this is a joke. I never really react to much with dissatisfaction but I really crowed out loud about this.

First of all, they nail the average father (in Randy's reaction) to football programs taking away kickoffs to limit concussions. The whole concept of turning professional football into a game where everyone wears bras is such an F you to the NFL! Secondly, the Jim Rome scenes were brilliant, and how Butters dad analyzed the whole entire misinterpretation between Butters and understanding that he was saving seaman and passing it out, genius! Randy is the only one that notices this? Even more genius! Stroke of philosophical genius! If you don't find this episode funny, I don't know what to say. The Cee-Lo part was the best part. Brilliant South Park! 10/10.

Old School (2003)
2/10
the definition for overrated
25 April 2007
I couldn't go anywhere in 2003 without someone mentioning or recommending "Old School" to me. They would explain how great and funny it was. I didn't really know who Will Farrell was, just he was on Saturday Night Live. I thought I would give him and this movie a shot and see what it is all about. My friends ranted and raved about how amazing it was, so they rented it for me to see...

I don't like to rip apart movies but I'm about to right now. This had to be one of the dumbest movies I have ever seen. It may be because I'm not big on comedy movies or maybe its because it wasn't funny. I do not get to this day why people think will Farrell is funny. When I tell people I didn't like Old School they look at me in shock and ask "YOU Don't THINK A MAN RUNNING NAKED DOWN THE ROAD IS FUNNY??!?!" No.

I didn't think it was funny either when Farrell got half naked in Talladega Nights or Blades of Glory either. This movie had a dull plot and lame warped comedy, plain and simple. Why does Farrell have to yell all the time? cant he be funny without screaming? I didn't give this movie a low ranking because everyone else loves it, i just thought it was awful.

Disturbia (2007)
4/10
a movie that tries not to be a movie we've all seen before
16 April 2007
I didn't expect much from this movie, it had an "OK" trailer and it's hard to say it was awful. It had its moments but just got too boring after a while. I thought the characters in the story were rather dull. Of course, you have the kid who is as intimidating as a bucket of water and the "girl next door" who they try to pull off as a "hottie." I have seen better, by far.

The one positive thing I can say about this movie is it didn't give the dozens of teenagers in the movies the chance to scream at every part. Like every other unoriginal movie that is out these days. So if I give it some positive feedback, it would be it was not labeled as a "teen movie" but did have its flaws. This movie really took time out to introduce the characters and the situations way too much that it came out with a dull ending. Of course everything was all happy.
