Joy Ride (2023)

A comedy to pass the time

I'm sure if it were white men doing exactly the same thing a lot of people would have liked it.

It's extremely funny at times and sure it's uncomfortable in some situations but it's still fun.

It follows the same formula as any other buddy comedy movie on a road trip and it works pretty well.

The performances are the best and the pace of the movie is quite interesting. It's a comedy, I don't know why people expect it to talk about intense or deep themes.

The situations are hilarious and the cast is varied, I genuinely didn't expect much but it's pretty funny, Ashley is a very good actress.

I totally recommend it.

Evil Eye (2022)

Well, they tried...

The production is amazing but what's the need for the main brat to be so arrogant? Why is she on her cell phone if she has no signal or data? Why did she go to the pool if she had already seen that it was filthy and full of leaves?

The mom's attitude is so soap opera-like that it's uncomfortable and the dad's comments are so cringe-inducing that you can tell he's just there as filler.

And as in all Mexican films, the dialogue is unlistenable at times.

The scenes with the triplets are very beautiful, excellent production.

The makeup is incredible.

The effects are not too bad.

The musicians overexert themselves, playing scary music in scenes where only the mother and daughter are fighting (again).

The creature and its movements are excellent.

How the hell can you get a bad signal on a landline?

The dancers in the coven were amazing, the only good actors in the film.

The tinnitus when they found them is unnecessary and terrible.

It's laughable the times they use Danse Macabre.

I liked the ending.

Crappy attitudes, horrible family and interviews

So now being a victim of a situation is an excuse to treat people who care about your well-being badly?

Since Brenner arrived he has had no development and the only interesting thing they wanted to add to him is being a victim of sexual abuse, which doesn't make much sense given his behavior.

Again Neela is dragged down by her love affairs.

Sam is the new Abby with her screwed up family ruining her life.

Since Tony is so charismatic, of course Sam's mom loves him.... It was lovely to see all the extras and the nurse interviews.

Frank is a little boy and I still don't understand why he stayed and not Randi.

And since every time a character is happy someone gets killed, Morris gets his dose of drama.

At this point I just want it to end.

Put Gates all of the way

We all know Morris is a d! CK but again with Gates?

I really hate his character, no development and the same thing EVERY TIME.

Yes, he is from Full House but why all his patients have to be girls or boys? So freaking boring.

And now dating Sam, REALLY? Why?

The female characters have their opportunity to shine but NO, let's put them dating someone or giving advices.

They don't even talk to each other if is not about men.

I'm gonna take the opportunity to talk about the intro, why did they change it?! It's forgettable, boring and lazy.

Let's hope no one dies...oh wait, that's the trick whenever a serie it's getting worse.

Where the heck is Randi!?

They really took us out of the interesting character that was Randi to leave us to the idiot and intolerable Frank.

Why is he on screen? WHY?

Randi has so much deep and swag.

Carter is so freaking toxic!!

Yelling and taking Abby like that; we all know that she is a broke person but there is no reason to treat her that way.

I forgot how terrible his character is.

Freaking Men characters

I don't understand why Pratt and freaking Carter are so obnoxious.

The first one gets angry for his "relationship" when he is flirting and being annoying.

Carter, nobody asked you to come back, nobody asked you to take Abby's mom to her work and that you go into her life to judge her.

Always so judgmental.

Writers love having male characters play the victim and run away instead of talking things out.

Maybe Carter would have been a better character if he stopped crying and throwing tantrums.

Perhaps Pratt would be a less annoying character if he would just shut up and stop meddling in other people's lives.

Weak-minded episodes

I'm so sick of Carter's childish behavior, if he's so rich why doesn't he buy the metal detectors himself?

Pratt is a predator who takes advantage of situations, while poor Kerry has to deal with all the problems alone because no one understands the real problem.

Calamity, a Childhood of Martha Jane Cannary (2020)

Beautiful yet so boring

Oh my god, what did they do to Calamity Jane?

In the first place it has nothing to do with the historical character apart from her name; the main character is so annoying that it seems that I am watching Dennis the Menace.

Always so angry and upset.

Yes, the animation is so beautiful but don't use her name in vain.
