Good, not great
18 December 2021
For extra percaution, just letting you know this is SPOILER FREE.

I see the reviews below me and see people calling it "great" or a "masterpiece". I just watched it a few hours ago and I can say it was good, personally. Not a masterpiece.

Lets start out with the negatives. First off, there are some story beats that are just not established cleanly in this movie. It might have just been me, but there were some points where I was just like "what?!" or "how'd that happen?!" but luckily this doesn't take you TOO MUCH away from the movie. Second off, the first act felt a little too fast paced and a little clunky. It almost felt as if it was trying to get the movie rolling as fast as possible, which it does, but as I said above, this sort has caused some weird story beats. Another thing is the dialouge/acting. Especially with the villains. There were some parts where the villains lines just felt a little akward. As if they were crammed in there because the screenwriters co-worker suggested it to them on the fly and just crammed it in there. This is especially apparent with Electro/Jamie Foxx. This could have been connected to the akward dialouge too, but the acting felt a little bit off. Not something that would take you out of the movie, but just off. This is also apparent with Electro and sometimes even Otto, but this is on rare occasions.

Now with the good. After the first act, the pacing cleans itself up REALLY WELL. It starts to move cleanly and clearly. Another thing is the BANTER. I love the banter in this movie, and is tilted up to an extreme, especially with some characters. Though, I know this should have been crammed up there with the bad part, the banter does get a little forceful with it's fanservice at points. But I actually think this could be a good for some people. The score is also beautiful. Just a little tidbit there. And the thing I love the most is the TWISTS AND TURNS. There are some things in this movie that caught me genuinley offguard. And most of them aren't even at the end of the movie. After the first act shots and shots of twist after twist just hit you. Some make you sad, some make you happy, and I love that. Also, when people say that this movie gets dark at times, trust them. At some points I thought, "wow, how is this even connected to Homecoming and FFH? This is so brutal". And this isn't just shown through the dialouge, it's mostly through the cinematography. There are some shots that just hit hard, and give you a sense of dread.

Anyway, that should be it.

Overall, I think it's good. Not amazing, because it has some noticeable flaws, but it leaves you with a great experience, and I can actually see why people love it as much as they do. It's a pleasant movie and I reccomend it.

Oh yeah, and also stay after the end credits. There's something a little cool there.

Suspensful film with great acting and drama!

Never expected to see such a beautiful film. When I sat in theaters for this back in 1888, I thought it would be the sterotypical action flick but it surprised me! The suspense was nail-biting, and I remember being terrified for the main character to die. The drama was also well written. I remember holding in tears at the end. And the acting was phenomenal! I couldn't believe this was even a movie! The chills I had. I would totally reccomend this film! I hope they come out with a sequel.

I remember watching this show and loving it. The concepts was just so creative. Bacon?! Didn't expect that and it's a cute little trope.
