Haepiniseu (2021)
Good at moments. Terrible writing and almost all characters behave like they have 60 IQ.
Whole premise of the show is flawed. There are so many things that make no sense from a logical standpoint. All characters made dumb decisions just to create the plot for this series. Just another show catered towards people with no critical thinking, aka most viewers...
The main female character is taken for observation after being infected. She doesn't exhibit any symptoms. She's the only one who seems to be immune to the virus, and might be the only person in the world who can help in creating a cure for the disease. So what does the military charismatic doctor do? Keep her for observation and try to create a cure based on her immunity? No, he just lets her go and locks her up for 2 weeks in an apartment full of infected people. Yep, lock the only person capable of saving the world with a bunch of zombies! Oh dear...
Halfway throughout the show, the doctor realized he needs her to create a cure. Better late than never, huh? So what does he do after confronting her in the apartment? Take her away by force for the good of humankind? No, he lets her go.
At the end of the show, the doctor makes another silly decision by throwing away the only 2 vaccines, one to save his wife (understandable), and the other he gives to the main female character. Why? He's throwing away possibly the future of entire mankind, just so that she can save one person?
Another massive plothole: we learn near the end of the show that apparently they already found a couple more patients that were immune to the disease. But, of course, only the main heroine's blood can be used to make the vaccine. None of the other 4 or 5 confirmed cases of immunity, nope!
And the complete lack of logic just keeps piling on. We see in earlier episodes that everyone in the apartment goes to the market and buys a freaking month's worth of water and food. And they somehow run out after a week and resort to stealing, blackmailing, backstabbing, and violence. Also, in the earlier episodes we see the military giving rations to people in lockdown. We are shown multiple times that the military is 24/7 guarding the premises and making sure they're not let outside. So, if they're still there, why do they stop giving out rations after a couple days? Makes no sense, especially considering the fact that they want to keep the main female character alive because of her immunity. They just decide not to give out rations so the plot can developed into an ugly battle for survival. Yikes...
Most characters act very dumb in this movie. Instead of staying at home to stay away from the infected, they end up in situations that endanger the entire cast. Ugh, even more of dumb writing for the sake of keeping the plot alive. And they failed at that too. The plot drags on for many hours and doesn't keep the viewer engaged.

Has its great moments.
Short and to the point: Slow start. I didn't feel invested in the main characters' backstory at all. The survival games are pretty entertaining. Although there's way too much unnecessary gore for my liking. The show does generally a great job at portraying the conflict between survival instinct and preserving one's humanity. Last two episodes felt very predictable, cheesy and extremely cliche. Definitely an overrated show, although one worth watching.
Ending notes: watch in original Korean dub with subtitles. The English dub is horrendous - the english voice actors fail to convey emotions in their voices.
