Sometimes a Great Notion (1971)
44 years have gone by since i saw this movie
The date i don't remember, but the day I do. what i did that day i should say. and the movie is still vividly in my mind. I can see the family interplay pretty clearly, but there is 1 scene clearer then all the others.
And more worried about creating a spoiler,
i will only describe it in general terms.
And that is the Death Scene in the picture, I don't want to mention the players in the scene for fear of spoiling it for others. it isn't a short scene, it felt like an eternity, for me anyway.
It is heart wrenching, and has haunted me all these years.
I would like to see this picture again to feel that emotion again.even now just talking around it i feel emotions welling up in me.
worthwhile movie I would recommend it for anyone.
Dingo (1991)
Miles Davis got me first , and Colin Friels role locked me in
I won't fight with Phil Kafcaloudes synopsis of the movie, its spot on, I just wanted to add my comment on the final jazz scene in Paris.
Every time i have described that scene to friends and all, I cry. Tears of joy mind you,
Reason? Its because of the look on Colin Friels' face,
a kid in candyland for the first time, maybe, you can see he is in seventh heaven , the only dream he ever had is coming true in front of us the movie audience and in front of the live audience in the Paris club,
The moment just takes you to a special place of powerful emotions of Happiness.
what can i say? i cry at movies , so sue me!! grin
p.s. this is ridiculous even writing a comment has made me cry!!
