a howling UMMMMMMMM?

What shame this movie was, such great actors giving like half of what they could have given, Benicio del Toro? what a generic soulless performance, Hopkins is .... you know, Hopkins... Emily Blunt and Hugo Weaving where the best ones. The pace of the movie is really annoying, the CG effects of the mansion are soooo bad, was it so difficult to find a big manor in england and put some leafs and branches on the front to make it look old? The "love story" and I want to emphasize the "'s is cold, you don't relate to them or their pain and this is due to bad screenplay... I really wanted to like this one, the scares are very cheap high pitch booms that of course make all the cinema jump but more to ear damage! Well, I wont recommend to see this at the cinema, rented when is out, Cheers

People, people , people... and specially fans of the original .... this is baaad AS IN BAAAD

I wont waste any more time on this movie so here it goes,

1- This doesn't feel like Friday the 13th AT ALL! 2- Killings are boring 3- is boring, there's no emotion, no jumps, not scares. 4- Normally horror movies that are bad, are funny right? NOOOOT!!

what a waste, I love the 1st 2 Fridays, it was really disappointing, but I went to the teather with no expectations so .....

so now I have to keep writing until I get 10 lines, oh god!!! this is worst than the movie itself! OK, let me try and fill the last lines: The caracthers suck! you really want them all to die! The mariguana field in camp crystal lake hilariously stupid, there should be gay caracthers kicking jason's boring butt with high heels!

Hello all, I never thought bad reviews will make me want to watch a film, but from what I can read here this film is provocative, touching and controversial, Nicole Kidman's film choices over the past 4 years have also been very interesting.... another plus to watch this film.

I've read in a lot of reviews on how -some americans- ( let's be sensitive and not generalize ) think this films make them seem as hypocrit and mean people. It's a movie! is someone's point of view, it's fiction! if everybody from other contries will get offended as how american films portray other cultures and people as middle eastern, south americans, russians, etc.... this forum will turn out to be about hate and differences.

Love of movies is what this is all about!

How can I start... Since I watched the trailer for "The Others" I felt intrigued by it... How long has it been since we don´t enjoy a spine chilling movie to the point of make you hold our breath for at least 95% of the film? I was on Madrid on vacation and the movie was advertised all over the "Gran Via", how could I resist? The only problem? to go alone... I took the courage and went to enjoy what it is until know the best suspense thriller since YEARS!! I have to agreed with other users that this victorian hunted house story is filled with drama and that is thanks to the spectacular script and beautiful acting!!

Nicole Kidman is an Oscar winner!! I'll be very disappointed if not...

We have to thank Alejandro Almenabar for writing, directing and composing the music for this elegantly, perfectly detailed suspense ride!!

Don´t miss it!!!

PS: I was lucky to have sit next to a girl who went to see the movie by herself too, we couldn't resist to hold hands twice during the movie... it was a relief!
