Insomnia (2002)
10/10
VERY GOOD MOVIE
26 May 2002
Al pacino plays an insomniac and he does it so well. his droopy eyes and his hunched over back add to the effect of his sleeplessness. Robin Williams eeiry reasoning is more freaky then pure rage. Hillary Swank plays the girl that is trying to make it big in cop world and stumbles upon the answer. This is an excellent movie w/ a lovely twist at the end and a capturing tale. Much better then the 1997 original,. i recommend anyone to see it. 11 on a scale from 1-10.

Dragonfly (2002)
interesting story line.. slow movie
24 February 2002
I suppose i did't know what to expect when i entered the movie theater.

the previews offered no clues as to what the movie would be about and the closest guess i could make of the movie would be that it was going to be like the mothman prophecies. Once i watched the movie i realized that was a bad guess because the mothman prophecies was actually freaky. This movie was so amazingly boring that I actually left the theater to go see some of the other movies playing there. I had to ultimatly come back (unfortunatly) because my friends wanted to see the ending. I would say the best part of the movie is the ending. The movie was a mix of the sixth sense, mothman prophecies (come on people- how many movies can you make about people drawing an insect?) and others. The movie became cliche and predictable and I REALLy don't recommend it. I'll give it 3 out of 10 points only because I feel sorry for the producers and the bad publicity they're going to get because of this movie.

The Mexican (2001)
a surprisingly good movie
26 December 2001
Being the loyal internet movie database fan that i am, i went to see what others had to say about the mexican before i rented it. Others trashed it to the point that I felt like an idiot for even considering renting it. The my dad told me i should try it out. It wasn't bad at all. It was hilarious to see that hot, lovable goofball Brad Pitt try to get this gun and screw up royally. The arguments that Julia Roberts and Brad Pitt's characters had was just so adorable. I mean, there arguments were believable. But it wasn't JUST a "cute" movie... it actually had a plot. That sounds like a dumb comment I'm sure- every movie HAS a plot... but others had informed me differently. The plot was quite obvious- Brad Pitts quest for a gun that is legendary in Mexico and America. And it was an ACTION movie... there were actually parts that had you covering up your ears waiting for a gun shot to ring out. It was a good movie... there was nothing wrong with it. I recommend that people go see it... despite what some of your friends have been saying about it. If I had listened to my friends, I might not have gotten the chance to see this great movie.

another sensational meg ryan movie
25 December 2001
I'll admitt it- i'm a huge meg ryan fan. However, didn't just go to see this movie for that reason alone. It also appeared to be a great romantic comedy. And my assumptions were correct. Hugh Jackman and Meg Ryan deliver a steller performance and the on screen chemistry will blow your mind. I don't know the name of the actor- but the guy who played Kate's brother- Charlie- was an excellent supporting character. You just loved him the second he came on screen. This is a great date movie and family movie. The ending is a little predictable but it's the only ending that would fit and make the ending happy. This is an aweasome movie that I encourage EVERYONE to see.

The Babysitter's Seduction (1996 TV Movie)
Good movie considering it's a tv movie
24 December 2001
This movie was good... the plot drew you in and the characters did as well. But i must say i squirmed whenever Stephen Collins and Keri Russel locked lips. It was just disturbing to see a nearly 50 year old man at the time and a just turned 20 year old kiss... however, these two great actors made it seem realistic. The ending was predictable but the parts leading up to it kept you on the edge of your seat. I recommend that you try to catch this movie on lifetime. It was better then what you would expect from a tv movie

Desperate for Love (1989 TV Movie)
An interesting Plot
23 December 2001
Okay, so the movie wasn't bad. It had an interesting plot and the actors shined. Christian Slater was excellent (was there ever a doubt? The man is a genius) and so was the rest of the characters. There was only one hole in the whole movie- the ending. It was just too "cliff hanger-ish" Sure, there was a definite outcome, but it didn't satisfy the viewer. It is not an awful movie (not like that sad Notting Hill) but it was no Double Jeopardy either. On a scale from 1-10 I would give it a 6. I don't think it would be a COMPLETE waste of time to see it.
