The Comedy of the Year!
24 October 2010
I can't even begin to describe how funny this movie is. Helen Mirran, especially, was excellent, with her deadpan lines: "I kill people, dear." Hilarious! John Malkovich played a very believable nutcase, making the whole theater crack up laughing almost every time he appeared on screen. I haven't seen any of Bruce Willis' 'Die Hard' movies, but he should do more funny ones; he definitely has the knack for it. Karl Urban was AWESOME...that man can play ANY role! Every single actor was perfect in their role, and this movie didn't disappoint at all, it stayed interesting for every single minute. If anyone is unsure about seeing this movie, PLEASE don't hesitate, it's worth every penny!

Hawaii Five-0 (2010–2020)

Best show I've seen in years!
20 September 2010
I was a huge fan of the original Hawaii Five-O, so when I heard about this attempt at a new show, I was excited but skeptical at the same time. Would it be just another CSI, or would it be different? Would it deserve to be called 'Hawaii Five-O'? Well, I must say...

I LOVE it!

First of all, the show is NOT just another CSI. It's different...it's funny...all in all, it's refreshing. Steve and Danno's bantering with each other is hilarious...very normal and realistic. There are some differences regarding the character's lives, but that's fine, as long as every episode has the spirit that it's had so far.

As for the actors...Alex O'Loughlin and Scott Caan are perfect. I can't imagine anyone else having their roles. Daniel Dae Kim is fine in his role...the only problem I have is with Grace Park. It seems unbelievable that her character would land a job like this, fresh out of police academy and with no real police experience...not to mention that she looks 15 years old. Oh well.

I haven't missed a single episode, and eagerly await it every week!

Iron Man 2 (2010)

Fantastic movie!
17 May 2010
Sometimes, Hollywood fails in making a sequel that's just as good or better than an original film: not so with Iron Man 2! This movie is a complete success from the very beginning, containing exciting action scenes, invoking concern from us viewers, and making us laugh. The roles were well acted by everybody. Robert Downey Jr is an on screen delight...his method of acting is so much fun to watch. He has a charisma that many actors of today seriously lack. He took on the role of Tony Stark as if he was truly that man. He had perfect chemistry with everyone, and I was sorry to see the movie end. I haven't seen many of RDJ's older movies, but as far as I'm concerned, I plan to see everything he makes from now on!

The Dick Van Dyke Show: Racy Tracy Rattigan (1963)
Season 2, Episode 27

Richard Dawson at his best!
15 April 2009
Warning: Spoilers
I'm a big fan of the show 'Hogan's Heroes', in which Richard Dawson plays the role of Corporal Peter Newkirk. I recently looked online for other shows that he's been in, and a friend of mine gave me the link to this episode on You Tube. I watched it and laughed my head off! Richard Dawson is so FUNNY in it! This is a hilarious episode, in which Dawson does his famous 'bird impressions' scene. He plays an actor named Tracy Rattigan that all the women are in love with, and he shamelessly flirts with Laura through the whole episode...right in front of Rob. There's a funny scene where Rob actually pours champagne over Rattigan's head! The next day, we find out that Rattigan had done the whole thing as an act--and has done it several times before to get laughs. LOL! Too funny! Richard Dawson did an exceptional job in the role, and this is a definite must-see for Dawson fans and fans of the Dick Van Dyke show.

Cool movie!
17 January 2009
I just watched this movie, and it was great, especially thanks to the awesome Adrian Paul. He was FUNNY, in this role, which was so different than the serious Duncan MacLeod from his fantastic show, 'Highlander'. I was pleasantly shocked to see that he hasn't seemed to have aged a single day since Highlander. (He'll be 50 in May...he looks 35!) It was great to see him sword-fight the badguys, and just so cool to see him in the role of pirate. I hope that there's a second movie, as the ending was left open. You could really tell that Paul had fun filming this movie. The only oddity was that the girl playing his daughter looked much too old to possibly BE his daughter, because Paul looked so wonderfully young! LOL!

Wow
16 April 2006
Warning: Spoilers
Awesome, awesome movie! It's a story of fiction where Claudius, one of the Roman soldiers who crucified Jesus, is also there at the tomb when Jesus rises. He catches a glimpse of Jesus alive, and doesn't know what to think. He eventually realizes that he'd helped to kill an innocent man, and goes looking for answers. He finds his way to the disciples, and while he's telling them what he saw, Jesus appears in the room with them, behind the soldier. The scene where a hand suddenly appears on Claudius' shoulder, and we see the nail-mark in it, is incredible. This movie goes to show that Jesus even forgave the man who KILLED him. That one scene always makes me cry! A movie definitely worth watching!

Cool movie
11 March 2006
Warning: Spoilers
This movie is definitely interesting. True fans of the canon will notice how much of the script was taken from several different Doyle stories, (especially the first ten minutes of the movie) as well as Irene's father's name and the Mordecai Smith character at the end. This movie was very loosely based on Doyle's 'The Sign of Four', and the outcome of the case is extremely different than the original story. The plot flows well and is quite entertaining. The only real 'flaw' is Charlton Heston's voice! You'd think he would've done a fake English accent while portraying the very English Sherlock Holmes!! People have remarked how Heston played Holmes as being too 'nice' or whatever...I thought it was refreshing to see Holmes as a normal human being, rather than a mere calculating machine. (For the record, I consider Jeremy Brett to be the best Sherlock ever.) Anyway, this movie is definitely worth watching! :)

Danny Kaye's Best Film
6 January 2006
Warning: Spoilers
This is one of the coolest comedies ever. Danny Kaye was an incredible comedian. 'The Court Jester' is great for kids and adults alike! The 'pellet with the poison' scene is a favorite, and a must-see.

Danny Kaye actually made a mistake in one of his lines. In a particular scene, Griselda hypnotizes him to fall in love with the princess (Angels Lansbury). When he says the line, "What manner of man is Giacomo?" (the Jester that he was impersonating) "I shall tell you what manner of man is he. He lives for a sigh, he dies for a kiss, he lusts for a laugh, ha ha! He never walks when he can leap..." etc. Well, later he repeats that, and he says, "He never leaps when he can walk," instead, by accident! Rent it and see for yourself!

Fantastic!
24 December 2005
This movie is SO awesome! I've seen it so many times that I can quote most of the dialog! If you want the ultimate portrayal of Jesus, watch this movie. If you want to see the best church sermon ever, watch this movie. If you want God in your life and don't know how to go about it, watch this movie! Anyone who isn't touched by this movie definitely has a heart of stone.

At the scene where Jesus raises Lazarus from the dead, the camera pans out and you see the countryside and Jesus from the back with his arms out and the tomb. Pay attention, after Lazarus walks out and the music gets dramatic, you see a huge shadow pass over the land that literally looks like God himself waved his arm over the earth. I wouldn't be surprised if He really did; showing us that He's pleased at what He was seeing! ;)

Awesome Movie!
20 February 2005
All I can say is 'wow'. This movie was so fantastic that I bought the soundtrack on the way home from the theater! Gerard Butler as the Phantom was excellent! His singing style was unique. My mother and I really enjoyed his voice. I felt so bad for the Phantom! It wasn't his fault that he was deformed! Emmy Rossum (I hope I spelled her name right) was also excellent as Christine. I can't believe that she was only 16 years old when they filmed! She has a fantastic voice, (having been singing opera since she was 7!) There were a lot of funny scenes in the movie too. If you aren't sure if you should see this movie, let me make up your mind for you. GO SEE IT NOW! :)

Awesome Movie!
20 September 2004
This movie is so cool...Tony Curtis is awesome, I've always thought so. He's cute and funny, and an excellent actor. Every role that I've seen him play was done very well, especially this one and his role of Danny Wilde in the 1971 show 'The Persuaders'. He's excellent in comedy, and he really keeps you laughing!

Jack Lemmon's character in this movie was funny too...he acts like a total moron, lol! Natalie Wood was cool, Peter Falk was cool...everyone was cool! This movie is so fun to watch, especially the pie fight at the end, so go rent it! Right now! LOL Believe me, you'll be glad you did, and you'll probably buy it, like I did! ;)

Book of Days (2003 TV Movie)
Wow!
6 March 2004
This movie was amazing! Danny was the kind of character that you feel such sympathy for! He goes through so much in this movie that you just want to hug him! Wil Wheaton did an excellent job...it was cool to see him in such a dramatic role. This movie was fascinating and definitely worth watching! The ending will totally surprise you. This movie did not disappoint in any way whatsoever! It made me cry more than once! I was riveted to the screen through the whole thing, which is rare for me, as I'm not the kind of person to watch just any movie. I have to have an interest in order for it to grab my attention, and this movie did, from the second I saw it while flipping through the channels. Wil Wheaton was great as Wesley in Star Trek: TNG, and he was great in this. Watch this movie!

LOVE IT!
22 October 2001
This show is fantastic! I became a fan of Oded Fehr after seeing him as Ardeth Bay in The Mummy movies, and couldn't wait for this show to start! He's great! It's so neat seeing him in such a different role! This show is so cool, it's got an awesome score and neato plots! The actors are all great. Jon Seda is really good too. I hope this show last for years, it's definitely worth watching! (And taping!) Long live UC: Undercover! LOL :) Deana

FANTASTIC MOVIE!
22 October 2001
Wow! This movie is like, non-stop action! The fight-with-the-mummies scene in the bus was awesome!

Rick, to Ardeth: "You okay?"

Ardeth: "This was my first bus ride."

That line made me bust out laughing in the theater! All the actors were great in this one, as well as the first Mummy! I forgot to mention Patricia Velasquez in my comment for The Mummy, so I'll do it here. She was excellent in both roles of Anck-su-namun, and Meela. You could tell she had fun playing the roles! (Lucky her, I wish I was an actress, lol) Definitely worth watching! :) Deana
