Wonderful Movies
I found this movies extremely pleasant to watch.
Outstanding fighting between the good guys and the bad guys made this really stick out.
The storyline was wonderful and well presented throughout the film mixed in with action scenes that made this a joy to watch.
The music/soundtrack was average, however it contributed to the films atmosphere and made a positive difference to the movie action scenes.
I personally taped this movie on VHS to watch again and I advise others to do the same.
I liked the idea of the Chinese and the Japanese against each other. It seems in this movie the Japanese were trying to take China over and there was a plot to do so with information on the army bases to attack. The good guys stop the information reaching the target and win the day.
I liked the guy known as Joker.
Attica (1980)
True Movie
I found this movie floating around on True Movies one afternoon and thought the film sounded interesting i.e. criminals vs cops.
The acting was average and nothing special came from anyone including Morgan Freedman. I had to admit I've never seen Freedman looking as young as he did in that movie.
The soundtracks were passable to accompany the dangerous moments and the ending. Could of been better.
The script could of done with some, "dramatization". It wouldn't of hurt the film to add some more speeches, some little action moments between the criminals and cops. I understand its a true movie and it is trying to reflect the moment of September the 9th 1971, but thats what I think anyway.
I have to say I was surprised to see how the ending was. I could not believe the U.S would be as ruthless and dangerous as to line up the guards and start shooting anyone who is not on the floor with their hands behind their back.
Good movie with a sad ending.
Martial Law II: Undercover (1991)
Wonderful
This was a good movie.
The story is nothing new i.e. dirty cops, gang, team of cops taking the problem on.
The music was nice and reminded me of the 1980s action movies even though this movie was made in 1992.
The cast was decent and everyone did what they were supposed to. In these type of action flicks the acting is minimum and the music and action take over.
The fashion (needs a comment) was terrible' as it looked like something from the miid-1980s. Not even Chuck Norris action films from the 80s looked that old.
They could of turned this into a martial arts sequel. It's a shame they don't make movies this straight forward anymore.
Thankgod for Movies4Men channel on my sky!
Martial Law (1990)
Not Bad Movie
It is a good way to spend the afternoon getting into the cop Vs Crim thing. Very interesting script. L.A is where two main cops try to take a ruthless gang leader who dresses well and has a band of martial arts expects at his hand and a club to hang around.
The story goes that the gang leader is trying to get into the sport promotion scene and ends up doing a couple of murders along the way. The two cops track him down and try to bring him to justice.
As always when you try to bring a Hollywood bad man to justice it ends in a fight. All the martial bad men (and women) fight against the two cops and in the end you've guessed it - the gang leader gets killed in a end film fight (that wasn't that good).
The film is easy to read, no need for heavy thinking. Just enjoy the drama and the fighting. Could of been better though.
