Syphon Filter 3 (2001 Video Game)
Good game, but the original was better
4 April 2002
If you loved the other Syphon Filter games, you'll enjoy this, but basically this feels more like a compilation of leftovers from the first and the second. The story is told in flashbacks. Gabe and Lian are interrogated about the Syphon Filter, and their stories make out the game. The gameplay is the same as before, with a couple of new weapons in the inventory. A gun whitch can fire through everything!! will definetely be everybody's favorite.

Gabe and Lian are basically taken across the world as usual, sneaking and roaming around taking out the enemy. Great fun at times, but a bit repetitive. All in all a cool cool game, but it's far too easy to beat if you beat the original Syphon Filter and it's sequel. I would recommend to the check out the "hard difficulty" cheat, which will make this game far more enjoyable If you are a Syphon Filter junkie you should definetely check this game out!!

Far better than the Phantom Menace
21 November 2001
Battlefield Earth is not great....it's EXCELLENT!!

I can't understand why everybody hates this film. Roger Christian had a comic-booky approach to this film, and on many levels it works with that in mind.

There are no annoying Jar-Jars in this one neither stupid kids who can't act. On the other hand you'll find a great good guy played by Barry Pepper, and John Travolta as a cool bad guy. This film follows the traditions from great sci-fi classics like "Battlestar Galactica", "Logan's Run" and "Battle Beyond the Stars". You'll see groovy matte-paintings and some cool spaceships in a story with some cool'n crazy cavemen fighting the freaks of the universe, the Psyclos. The special effects can easily be compared to films like "ID4"

All in all an extremely enjoyable film, which one day will be become a cult-classic. It's a shame we probably won't see a sequel due to a bad turn up at the box office.

Lucas has lost it!!!
31 October 2001
Lucas should ask someone else to continue the Star Wars saga. He has only proven two things with this movie he can neither write or direct.

The story is something a five year old could have come up with, and the direction??...as far as I know the actors said their silly lines and went back to their seats. What a shame, Portman,McGregor,Neeson and Pernilla August are all great actors but in this one they are more stiff than a cardboard cut out!!

Lucas has said that he will repeat certain themes from the original trilogy in the new Star Wars. Well that he has done....that is Phantom Menace is more or less a remake of A New Hope and Return of the Jedi, and a very bad one too!! I just don't understand. The Star Wars universe is so vast, why the hell does Lucas have to tell the same story over and over again???

Jake Lloyd is the worst child actor I've seen in my life. Hale Joel Osment believe it or not lost the gig after the first audition!!!!??? How the hell could that happen??

And yes Jar Jar IS the most annoying character on screen..EVER

George Lucas should give his sad universe to someone like Peter Jackson, because he has proven two things with this movie..JACK'N S***!!
