The Hunted (2003)
Pretty Good !
27 September 2003
All I've been reading here is bad reviews why ? I thought it was really good. Everyone's been saying that it's a "Rambo" rip-off well, it does remind me of First Blood, but remember Rambo didn't walk into town and start killing everybody, even while being hunted by the cops, all he did was wound them, Del Toro chopped these men up. And remember Col. Trautman DID NOT kill Rambo at the end, Tommy Lee had no choice. It was the same old thing I admit, man kills some people so they bring in the best man to track him down and try to bring him in, but he won't cooperate, so the chase begins, and ending up with one of them dying. But, you have to admit that the scene where both Del Toro & Tommy Lee making their weapons from scratch was interesting !!!.

Just OK
13 August 2003
It was alright, but nothing special.

I agree it was a little better than Chainsaw Massacre, but it's just your basic bloody rampage.

The two things I liked about the whole DVD...

1. The Score, pretty cool !!!

2. The start of the DVD,You know, when you ring the bell, and Captain Spaulding enters and gives a whole bunch of rude comments, I thought it was funny as hell.

That's about it.

Sorry

Narc (2002)
Wicked !
1 August 2003
Ray Liotta & Jason Patric at their best. Cool film about a Narc Agent

(Patric) getting heat from his wife, trying to make him quit. And a Detroit Det. (Liotta) on the brink of psychotic (As Usual) teamed up with Patric to catch two druggies that killed an undercover Narc Agent. The film is dark and mysterious, (Just the way I like'em). All the chemistry is there for your better than average cop movie. Better than my other favorite "The French Connection" when you watch this you'll be at the edge of your seat, and a big surprise turns out at the end of the film.

This film should have picked an award for something, but it never got recognized. Great effects...Make-up, action, and intense thriller !!!

One of the year's better cop flicks !!!

Patric's best work since "Rush"

Recommended !!!!!!!

Good Flick !!!!

Warning: Spoilers
Ever Since I was about 8 years old I've been hearing about this movie. (Mostly from my Father). Well it took a very long time, but I finally found it. It was on a video with two other movies, I found this tape at some "backwoods" flea market in Kentucky. When I saw it I almost went nuts. Well I asked about the price and the woman let me have it for a buck! That's Right, one dollar. So I tried to stay calm and gave her the dollar and I left fast and went right home, where my whole family watched it and it was in very good condition for being that old of a movie. I found out that she or whoever taped it, that the film was played on A&E back in 1992. This is about a plane crash in the Kalahari desert and the pilot and the passengers make there way through the sweltering desert and come across a set of black rocks and some caves where they got out of the heat. Well, eventually they come across a family of baboons that don't like these people here. So one of the people is a big game hunter (played by Stuart Whitman) Well, he starts shooting these baboons so that the food they did find (mostly a type of melons) and the water supply would last. Well, running low on ammo and probably the heat started to affect him, he starts to realize that the chances of surviving would be better in his odds if he would start killing each one off, except the female (Played by Susannah York). But, as the people start ending up missing they suspect him and try to fight back. Well he eventually goes up higher in the rocks where he tries to become king of the mountain. But, at the very beginning of the movie the pilot sets out for help which he actually makes it! Well, he gets the Diamond mine corp. to send a chopper for the rest, but on arrival there is only three left...Bain (Stanley Baker) and the Woman, plus Whitman still in hiding. Well they calling him so they all can leave, but, he knows that he will be charged with murder if he goes back,so he decides to stay and eventually kills the "Leader" of the baboons where in fact he does become "King". So if you happen to find a copy or know if it's going to be played my advice is to tape it or at least watch it, cause it is a very rare movie.

Dog Soldiers (2002)
Pretty Slick !!!
26 May 2003
Warning: Spoilers
This flick was pretty cool, It has it all violence, action, blood, and swearing, plus some funny jokes now and then. You have to have that otherwise the actors will act all stiff and won't look good. Possible spoilers coming... It start off with two campers (of course they get interupted just before sex)then a soldier trying to get placed on a "Special Forces" group. Next a group of soldiers drops in on the highlands of scotland for a training misson not knowing they're being used as "bait" to draw out a suspected werewolf being hunted by that "Special Forces" team. Well the Special Forces team finds out that there isn't just the one werewolf,(more like six) anyway, all but one team member is slaughtered and when the other team finds him he's near death. So they patch him up and then they come in contact with the werewolves themselves. So they're on the move when they get attacked and they of course fight back. One soldier is killed then the Sarge gets clawed across the stomach, but he doesn't die he just needed someone to put his guts back in!!!. So they're moving through the forest when they come across a woman in her vehicle (yeah, yeah I know she just happened to be out for a drive?)Well she helps the troops and takes them to a nearby house which is the only house for miles. And they board up and fight these things off all night. Well one last spoiler...at the end of the movie they're is two survivors one soldier and a dog. You'll have to watch it to actually see what does happen. I think it's worth a look !!!! The one part I like is just before Sarge gets slashed, The forest reminds me of hunting in Pennsylvania, especially around the Renovo area and other places like...Shintown,Bucktail,Sproul Forest Park, and also Hyner View. Anybody who knows these areas and has hunted in these areas will know what I'm talking about!!!!

Old Classic Horror
26 May 2003
I saw this when I was about ten years old, and it seemed more spooky then scary. I mean some parts are weird while others seemed not scary. Anyway, five teens hear of graverobbing where some of the family is buried so they set out for a normal afternoon drive in Aug. They stop at the graveyard and find out that the family plots were untouched. Later on the way to Sally & Franklin's Grandparents place they pick up a hitchhiker (Bad Mistake) anyway this guy seems normal but later attacks Franklin with a straight razor and they eventually get him out. They arrive at the old home and Kirk & Pam decide to go swimming in an old creek behind the house, but only to find out that it is dry, so Kirk hears a engine running and he see's another house across the field, so remembering that they do need gas the two decide to wonder up and see if they can maybe buy some or just trade something off. Well when they arrive it seems like no one in home. But, some was home "Leatherface" he smacks Kirk in the head with a big hammer, and Pam who was reluctantly didn't want to go in, Now having heard a struggle goes in only to find a very weird home littered with bones, dead animals, and even a

"Live" chicken in a bird cage!. Anyway see gets grabbed and impaled on a meat-hook. Later, Jerry (Sally's Boyfriend) goes looking for them and he also gets slaughtered. So all that's left is Sally & Franklin. Sally decides to look for them all but it very hard cause Franklin is in a

Wheelchair and it's difficult for her to push him through the brush and it is also dark out now. Franklin hears something and when he turns his flashlight up Leatherface is right in front saw him up.Sally freaks (who wouldn't?) anyway she runs from the big cute guy with the chainsaw. She comes across a gas station, with a very weird owner, who actually is the brother of Leatherface. So he knocks her out and ties her up and homeward bound they go. On the way he see's that hitch-hiker that we saw earlier, he too is related to the others. So after waking up she at the dinner table with this weird bunch. Only to find out that Grandpa is ready to give her a hammer to the head. She escapes and Leather & the Hitch-hiker chases after her but the Hitch-hiker's fate is right in your face when he gets run over by a big semi, and she hails down a passing pickup truck were she jumps in the back and they speed away while leaving Leatherface in a foul mood while give a great little chainsaw dance. That's it! know that I told you the whole plot no need to watch it!!! LOL :-) No really if you have some time check it out it might suprise you.

Undisputed (2002)
Fantastic !!!!
24 May 2003
Warning: Spoilers
Great movie !!! This movie blows away any "Rocky" film and "Play it to the bone" (No complaints against the actors of those films!!!) Anyway, The two bad boys in the world come together in one night in a prison program that gives certain inmates a chance to take on Wesley Snipes, Undisputed heavyweight or whatever weight in Sweetwater prison. Then when the heavyweight champion of the real world played by Ving Ryames, gets put in prison on rape charges, it only takes a little time before these two come together with the help of a mobster who is also in the prison. These two put on one hell of a fight in a no holds barred fight to the finish of who wants it more. If successful, Ving gets out early, and Wesley gets money to send to help his sister. Well that's enough spoilers for now !!! If you want to know how it turns out, Well, sorry I'm not telling (LOL) :-)You'll have to find out. It's well worth your time !!!!

Pretty Cool
26 April 2003
This movie has it all killings, drugs, swearing, did I mention killing ? Frank White (Christopher Walken) just got released from prison, and comes back to New York. When he arrives another guy runs the area. This is not what he wanted to see, so he goes back in business for himself. He recruits who he needs and kills everyone who gets in his way. Wesley Snipes and his punk partner David Caruso are out to stop him and his goons from taking back the city. It's got everything a good action movie needs, and really doesn't stop all the way through. If your into a good crime movie this is it !

And one more thing... whoever wrote the quote under the "Goofs" section, should clean his eyeballs, They state this... "Frank is dancing with the blonde chick in the white blouse, then they go outside on the balcony, then she's wearing a black jacket which Walken didn't give her" Well if he would watch closer Walken picks up the jacket off the chair just before they go out! All in all this is a very violent movie. So I do recommend it!

Stone Cold (1991)
The Boz's Best Movie!
18 April 2003
This was an exciting movie, it had all the good action needed. It stars Brian Bosworth as an Alabama police officer who is sitting on a three week suspension. Now he's being (Sort of) "Blackmailed" by the FBI if he doesn't agree to go undercover in a Mississippi biker gang, they will turn his suspension into six months (Without Pay). He eventually agrees, and enters the "Devil's Playground" with some seriously bad dudes! Anyway, most of these bikers don't trust him but, he catches the eye of the gang leader "Chains Cooper" played by Lance Henriksen. I think he was pretty good in this part! He starts gaining trust with some of them,Except the savage "Ice Hensley" played by William Forsythe. Now he played the real rough, tough bad guy in this film! Eventually Boz realizes he is in over his head, but must see this through without giving up his Identity, but that turns out exactly what happens and they use in for a diversion for "D-Day" That's when they strike back, but of course you know that Boz is not going to give up without a fight!. Hs gets loose, makes alot of noise and kills everyone. The movie never really slows down, but it does have some flaws, But doesn't every movie? All in all this is the best Bosworth movie out there. I have seen all his movies and I'd have to rule this one the best!. So if your into Bikers,Guns,Fights, and total F***ing destruction this is your movie! Make your own decision on this film, don't let your friends make it for you!!!

Silent Hunter (1995)
Whoa, What a movie!
25 December 2001
I just saw this movie on 12-24-01, I saw the video in stores, but never got around to renting it. Boy, did I make a mistake. I thought it was a pretty damn good movie. It's one ultimate revenge movie. It's about a guy and his family at the wrong place at the wrong time. These crooks get away from the cops and take control of this guys vehicle with his family still in it. After they get where they are safe they end up killing his wife and daughter, and they thought they killed him as well. But that was their mistake. Anyway life goes on, and he ends up in the far North, with no one around except his dog, and a handicapped radio man and his GrandDaughter. But for some odd reason these same bad people end up there in the next town over,( maybe it was FATE? )and rob a bank roll, and after the cops disable the getaway chopper, they go down just over the hill from this cabin. They kill the man in the wheel-chair hurt the hero and use the GrandDaughter to lead them out of this rugged area. Now that he remembers that these people are the same ones that killed his family, it Pay-Back time!. With some help from the big Fred Williamson ( also the Director of the movie ) they go after these weirdo's, and will not stop until the last one is toast. The Ending you will LOVE!!!!!!.

Jane Doe (2001 TV Movie)
Some what good, maybe
18 December 2001
All in all it was a good movie, Teri Hatcher turns from computer geek to a tough broad. Didn't see much of Rob Lowe, but that was his role in the film. The are two things though, It looks like it was made for cable, cause throughout the movie some profanity was dubbed out, and second In the "Bathroom" scene, I was wondering where she got the handgun? I mean she said she was afraid and didn't know how to use one. She didn't have it in the bag she brought, and it wasn't in the truck where she took the Rifle. So I guess it was overlooked. So maybe someday will see it on cable or in our local video stores.
