The Musketeers (2014)
A mild third season
Some stories never lose its magic and The Three Musketeers is one of them. This adaptation is fresh and lively, and the production is very good. Performances are wonderful too; the three young musketeers and D'Artagnan are fine actors. In the 1st season, Peter Capaldi was just brilliant, as he always is. And I loved Ryan Gage as King Louis. A delicious performance throughout.
I watched the first two seasons and enjoyed them very much (8/10). At first, when Peter Capaldi left, I thought the show was going to lose power, but Marc Warren proved to be a fantastic villain too. And that, I think, is the key. A good villain. Which the third season, in my opinion, was lacking. I started watching it but it bore me to death and I quit halfway through. I didn't like Rupert Everett performance, or was it the character? I don't know. But I found it rather tiresome to watch it, so much so I haven't ended the season and I think I never will. Also, I think the script wasn't as good as in the previous seasons.
Jericho (2016)
It could have been much better
I found the first episode boring, or maybe I couldn't concentrate properly because of the wig Jessica Raine was wearing. But it gets better as the episodes go on.
The plot is full of clichés and the action is predictable but I don't think acting was bad. Someone mentioned the scene of the women doing the laundry, and I agree. One of the women is washing some clothing while standing on her two feet, and she doesn't look wet or anything. Anyways...
On the whole, the show remains mild and unimpressive throughout, but I still watch it to the end. I give it 6 stars.
