Grey's Anatomy: Stairway to Heaven (2009)
One of the best of the series
Without giving anything away, I will simply say this is an episode to watch. Between Meredith's sympathy for a murderer, Izzie being clueless about her diagnosis, learning how important organ transplants can be, and finally, for me, it was the scene in the OR with Derek and Bailey. She was outstanding. You knew with every ounce of her she wanted the patient to die, but just couldn't go through with Derek letting him die. Chandra Wilson gave an excellent performance.
Grey's Anatomy: Drowning on Dry Land (2007)
Izzy Shined
Overall, an excellent episode. While re-watching the series I felt the need to review this episode.
In previous episodes, Izzy has bothered me. From her attachment to Denny to her overreacting to certain situations, her character has always bothered me. She's done insane stuff in the past and there's a lot more crap she does in future episodes.
This episode however is one where she shines. She was never that great with the medical aspect of her character, but she shines in this episode. I could feel the fear she gept when she had to drill the burr holes. She did so well that when Richard told her she was off probation, I completely forgot sh was on probation.
Grey's Anatomy: Band-Aid Covers the Bullet Hole (2006)
All around a decent episode.
Not fond of Izzy and Denny. Feels very forced and Izzy again is the doctor who gets too attached too fast. Denny will later come to play somewhat of an important, but not now.
Cristina babysitting was a fun site, George and Callie's flirtation is cute, Meredith keeping Derek in the dark will backfire.
The hockey story line with Callie & George was a good one.
Derek and Meredith working on the woman's brain aneurysm was a classic neuro surgery that will continue all throughout the series.
This Is Us: In the Room (2021)
Remember the name Nasir Ahmed
So many ups and downs in this episode and true to form, This is Us gives us a character we wont forget. We meet the new Big 3, all with beautiful and meaningful names. Don't do any googling to look up Nasir, I promise waiting to find out who he is is definitely worth it.
Thank you, This is Us. Thank you for this episode. I cry at a lot of them, but this one might be a top 5. Watch and enjoy because I know you wont be disappointed.
Criminal Minds: Truth or Dare (2019)
Right up there with S11 E11 "Entropy"
Let's just say I think the other reviewers are under rating this episode. Any of the episodes where Reid is front and center are great.
This was no exception. The story had me on the edge of my seat the entire episode. I found it engaging, suspenseful, and enjoyable all throughout.
What other reviewers didnt like was JJ confessing to Reid how she's felt all along. It's honestly something fans should've seen coming since Gifeon gave Reid the San Fran tickets and told him to ask her out. Throughout the entire series they've both had feelings for each other and the show made no attempt to hide it. Besides, what better way to get fans to return for the final season than to see if Reid gets to tell JJ how he feels?
It's worth your time. Give it a chance.
